Chapter 260: Zombie’s Speculation

Zombie Tony's right hand moved slightly, and a holographic projection appeared on his blood-stained wrist. The 30-second video showed Earth in ruins, with zombies everywhere. 

In the video, a terrifying golden energy suddenly erupted over New York, spreading instantly to cover the entire planet. In a flash, all zombies on Earth were incinerated by the brilliant golden waves.

A few seconds later, an even more dazzling golden light exploded, and the video faded into complete darkness.

Beside the holographic projection was an automatic energy threshold detector, which had reached its upper limit—off the charts.

"I've never seen such energy before."

A deep voice accompanied by chewing sounds came from a burly figure in golden armor with purple skin. It was Thanos.

Zombie Thanos, now also a zombie, was holding a large piece of flesh from the planet Ego and gnawing on it, his bloodthirsty eyes filled with contemplation and confusion.

“There is no one like that in the universe. Could it be a Celestial we've overlooked?” Zombie Tony speculated, swallowing the flesh he was chewing.

After the virus outbreak, the heroes and villains who became super-powered zombies gathered. After devouring all flesh on Earth, they spread out into the universe, consuming almost everything like locusts.

The remaining beings either turned into zombies or were eaten.

Their speed was astonishing, thanks to their efficiency. Among these zombies were cosmic Celestials, and more terrifyingly, Zombie Galactus and Zombie Sentry.

The universe was almost entirely consumed, leaving no fresh flesh.

Ego was an accidental find, but once the celestial being Ego was eaten, there was no more food.

Zombie Tony and his group were considering developing a cosmic portal to travel to another universe.

The destruction of Earth led to the ruin of the portal machines stored at the Avengers Tower, but luckily, Zombie Tony had detailed data to rebuild them. Otherwise, the zombies would not have remained calm.

Even so, the zombies devouring Ego were seething with anger and violence.

But then came excitement.

A new Celestial? That meant fresh flesh.

Moreover, consuming this new Celestial might grant them that Celestial's power. Previously, after devouring Galactus, even mortal zombies like Natasha gained cosmic energy, enabling them to fly, survive in space, and travel at light speed.

Such was the peculiarity of the zombie virus.

Despite their confusion, they were more excited, believing that no matter how powerful the new Celestial was, it could not withstand their combined cosmic-level powers.

They had Thanos, Thor, Sentry, and Galactus.

And many other Celestials.

Those mighty Celestials once resisted desperately, causing them significant trouble and killing many companions. But in the end, they were all devoured and turned into zombies.

"Where is he now?"

Zombie Wolverine, Logan, asked grimly, after tearing a piece of flesh from Ego with his adamantium claws.

Logan, once a fierce resister, was imprisoned by his zombie comrades due to his regenerative ability. They cut off his limbs and organs, using him as a perpetual food source until his flesh was too little to share, and they devoured him entirely, turning him into a zombie.

Zombies could not consume other zombie flesh; it tasted foul and caused severe adverse reactions.

Logan knew that after Ego, there would be no more food in this universe.

Now a new Celestial appeared, and they had to seize it quickly.

"Nowhere to be seen, but I feel he's targeting us, and that energy makes me feel uneasy," Zombie Tony shook his head, his face dark.

Even through the holographic screen, the golden energy was too dazzling, making him instinctively fearful and repulsive.

Moreover, the energy in the video wiped out all zombies on Earth in an instant. Tony, still intelligent despite being a zombie, knew the new Celestial posed a significant threat.

"I feel the same danger. I've never seen such energy before; perhaps he's not from our universe but another one," Thanos, cursed with cosmic knowledge, said, aware that this energy and Celestial were unprecedented.

Zombie Hawkeye speculated, "Could it be a Celestial created for a specific purpose, like an antivirus program against us?"

"Very likely. We must be careful; his sudden appearance is strange and the timing is peculiar," Zombie Natasha agreed, noting that this new Celestial appeared just as they were finishing consuming the universe, with only Ego left.

At the brink of consuming all life, a new Celestial's appearance suggested a reset after destruction.

"Heh heh," Thanos laughed cruelly, "Let's see if he has the power to back it up.”
