Chapter 617: Chapter 617 - Kindergarten Encounters

Broken logged into Immortal Legacy and found himself in his study. He skimmed through several documents detailing the progress of the city's development, which was now entering its next stages.

It all seemed to be going well, and today he had an important meeting scheduled his second commission for crafting a new item.

Descending to the main floor, Broken entered the living room, where his attention was drawn to a woman with long, jet-black hair. She wore a casual dress in shades of black and purple. Upon seeing him, she immediately stood up, smiled warmly, and waved.

"Good morning, Broken," greeted Starfall

"Hi," Broken replied. "I believe I promised to start work on your commission today."

Starfall nodded eagerly. "Yes, I've been looking forward to this day! I even had to reschedule some interviews to be here."

Broken furrowed his brows. "Did I summon you at a bad time?"

"No, no, no!" Starfall quickly responded, shaking her head. "I apologize if my words caused any misunderstanding. This isn't your fault at all—everything is perfectly fine."

"And..." Starfall continued, "I have a small gift for you. I've entrusted it to Freya, but I'd like you to confirm it directly with her."

"A gift?"

"Yes, please confirm the gift with Freya.

"Okay, thank you," Broken replied. "Shall we continue our discussion in my workshop?"

"Yes, of course," Starfall said with a nod and followed him.

Once inside the blacksmith workshop, Starfall carefully took out a blueprint and placed it on the table alongside an assortment of materials.

"I'd be more than happy to provide you with additional materials if you ever decide to craft something to help you learn magic."

Broken had considered delving into magic but had deliberately postponed it, waiting for a more opportune time. With Goldrich, Elincia, and now Starfall in his guild, he realized he had access to a wealth of knowledge about becoming a proficient mage, should he decide to pursue it.

"I appreciate the offer," he replied, "but I don't think I need it right now."

He shifted his attention to the blueprint Starfall had provided. He was impressed. After working on Livelywood's sword and now seeing Starfall's project, he admired the precision and suitability of the blueprints for their respective classes and skills.

"You have access to many elements, don't you, Starfall?"

"Yes," she replied, a slight smile playing on her lips. "I'm an Elemental Mage. I can wield multiple elements simultaneously, though I'm still limited when it comes to advanced elements."

"That versatility must be incredibly valuable in combat. This blueprint reflects that perfectly. It's almost like an extension of your abilities."

"It is, but I still have a long way to go before I can master the advanced combinations. That's why this weapon will be a crucial part of my growth."

Starfall smiled warmly. "I must admit, I'm a bit jealous that you have access to the dark elements, and even their advanced form, shadow. It's truly extraordinary."

"Really?"

"Yes," she replied. "The Dark and Light elements are far more powerful than the basic elements-wind, water, earth, and fire. If someone masters them, they gain a huge advantage."

She paused briefly, "Especially when it comes to your Eternal Flame form. I'm curious... Do we have the same chance to acquire something like that?"

"Uhmm..." Broken mused. "I'm not entirely certain. I gained my Eternal Flame form because of this ring." He held up his hand to reveal the Legendary Ring adorning his finger. "It

requires a few specific conditions for it to activate."

Broken swiftly brought the materials to his forging station, positioning himself with precision to begin crafting. His eyes remained intensely focused on the blueprint, checking each material to ensure everything was ready.

Starfall approached slowly, observing his focused expression as he immersed himself in the task.

"Broken..." she spoke hesitantly.

"Yes?" he replied without looking up.

"Could I stay in the room with you?"

"Yes, that's fine," he said, glancing at her briefly. "But it may take a while. Are you sure you want to wait?"

"This is a very special moment for me," she replied. "I want to savor the process and watch until my new weapon is finished."

Broken smirked slightly and asked, "Didn't you say you were very busy? Are you really a celebrity?"

Starfall chuckled softly. "You can confirm it yourself if you don't believe me."

"I've watched the K-drama you acted in," he said casually. "I haven't finished all the episodes yet... but my sister really enjoyed it."

"Really?" Starfall responded enthusiastically. "I would love to meet her one day."

"I'm sure my sister would be the one saying that," he added with a faint smile before turning back to his work.

Starfall smiled warmly but decided to hold her tongue, not wanting to disrupt his concentration as he began crafting her item. She took a seat nearby, her gaze fixed on the forging process, savoring every moment of this significant occasion.

The next day, Leon, Freya, Ronald, and Melliandra all found themselves riding in the same car as they headed to meet their next potential recruit.

Fortunately, the person they were seeking lived in the same city as Melliandra, making it convenient to stop by and pay them a visit.

As the sleek black car entered a more densely populated area on the outskirts of town, the surroundings shifted to rows of modest houses. The car slowed to a halt as a group of young elementary school children crossed the road.

Leon glanced out the window, lost in thought, contemplating all of the tasks he had to complete.

"We've arrived," Melliandra announced as the car came to a stop in front of a kindergarten

school.

Leon turned to his companions. "Who am I supposed to meet? I don't recall having any

kindergartners in the guild."

Freya chuckled softly, raising her fists in encouragement. "You can do it, Leon."

Ronald, grinning widely, joined in. "Go, go, go, Master!"

Melliandra added, "Just don't take too long, alright? I don't have all day to keep you

company."

Leon stepped out of the car, his footsteps deliberate as he made his way toward the

kindergarten gate.

The lively scene before him was one of joy and chaos-children laughing and running past, holding hands with their parents.

His gaze swept over the crowd, yet no face struck a chord of recognition. He lingered for a moment, watching the children's carefree smiles, and felt a pang of nostalgia.

I don't even remember my parents picking me up from school.

I don't even have their pictures...

Lost in his thoughts, Leon stood still, his reverie interrupted by the sudden approach of a

man. The man was taller than him. In his arms, he carried a young girl who clung to him with

wide, curious eyes.

Leon instinctively raised his gaze to meet the man's. Their eyes locked for a moment before

the man offered a warm smile.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
