Chapter 469 Farming Gems?
-Detected multiple sources of Earth Mana within the Dungeon.
There's really something! Where's the treasure? William couldn't help but grow enthusiastic.
-There seems to be something on the 20th, 30th, and 40th floors. The Earth Mana on the 10th floor seems exhausted.
Shit, 20? Tenningbrew told me to check out up to the fourth floor. Isn't the best group only on the 13th floor? William thought to himself as he checked the Navigation Radar.
The Navigation Talent was able to map out large swaths of the Dungeon in one go, but the floor was too large for the Talent at its current rank. Not only that, but the Radar didn't show where Spirilights and other torches had been placed, meaning he couldn't trace the previous groups' footsteps.
A bonus, however, was that the Radar could see vertically, which helped William to look downward by four floors. From the second floor, William could see the general outline of the larger rooms on the sixth floor. Once he reaches floor 10, he should be able to scout ahead of everyone else.
Better yet...
I can see the stairwell!
"What kind of weapon is that?" Jeron asked as he walked over to William. His gaze was fixated on the Abyssal Weapon Shifter, still in its boomerang form.
William looked over and shrugged, "It's an old family heirloom that I use a lot. Don't be fooled by its appearance, it's only good for the small fry."
"Small fry? I'll take your word on it." Jeron gave William a knowing smile.
It was obvious that the Abyssal Weapon Shifter could compete with an Ascension Realm Cultivator, though he admitted that the tool probably wasn't good for the Initial Deity Realm.
Jeron's companions had a similar thought and were slightly jealous, but no one thought of stealing the item. The Quake Dungeon carried much rarer treasures than a shapeshifting weapon; it wasn't worth breaking up the group over above-average equipment.
Since William was able to effortlessly dispatch the skeletons on the second floor, the group decided to save their energy and allow Will to deal with the enemies for now. Since he was earning Quake Dungeon Gems and some Potential Points, William didn't mind clearing out a few hundred enemies.
It was too bad that William's Beast Slayer Title was at Celestial Rank already and couldn't progress any further. Judging by the size of the dungeon and the level of creatures, this might have been an ideal place to level up the title.
When William and the group made it to the third floor, the level of enemies suddenly jumped to the early stages of the Ascension Realm. William could still destroy dozens of skeletons with his insane physical strength and the Abyssal Weapon Shifter, but he limited his strength and focused on killing two or three at a time to draw less attention.
When they reached the end of the third floor, the space opened up and William saw a massive room with sparse groups of skeletons scattered at random. In a span of ten seconds, William saw multiple bunches of Mana gathering together and forming new skeletons from scratch.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
There were several groups of students in the area, who seemed to use the Ascension Realm skeletons for practice. Their Magic was very precise, targeting weak points on the skeletons and crippling them at the cost of barely any Mana.
Once the bodies disappeared, some students ran forward and gathered all the Quake Dungeon Gems into a large sack that functioned like a Space Ring.

Are they... [1] farming Quake Dungeon Gems? William blinked a few times.
-Looks like it. Students have to earn money too.
William took out a Quake Dungeon Gem and looked at it with his Sales Talent, pleasantly surprised to see that a hundred Gems was equivalent to one Spirit Jade. It was the first item other than specific equipment that could be traded for Spirit Jades.
He took another look around the room, doing some quick math based on the number of creatures in the area and their respawn rate. If he spent an hour on the third floor, William could probably earn a few hundred Quake Dungeon Gems!
"Do you want to far- I mean kill skeletons here for a while?" William asked the group.
Jeron laughed, "Considering you killed the skeletons so easily I thought you had been here before. There are better places to earn D. Gems than the third floor— this place is for the trash."
William's eyes lit up and he nodded, "Sounds good to me. Let's go!"
Having been entranced by the temptations of loot, William agreed to be more proactive and help the group a little more. He didn't show off any more strength than he already had, but William coordinated with the others to clear out groups of skeletons much faster than before.
As a result, Jeron and the others agreed to split the Quake Dungeon Gems four ways, and William didn't have to fight the skeletons all by himself. They reached the stairwell at the end of the fourth floor in less than twenty minutes, completely uninjured.
While William was pleasantly surprised by his stock of 132 Quake Dungeon Gems, he was more impressed with Jeron, Benny, and Jonas' skill and teamwork. They didn't need to consult their map once during the exploration of the first four floors, and they no longer hid their strength.
Every skeleton that entered their range was dispatched in mere moments, either by Jeron's Fire or Benny's Water Magic. Any ranged attacks were effortlessly dealt with by a timely Earth Wall cast by Jonas, and William cleaned up anything else using his Abyssal Weapon Shifter.
The few times that an arrow breached Jonas' walls, William opened tiny portals that sent the projectile back at its attacker, shattering the skulls of any skeleton daring enough to fight them from a distance.
"Are you ready for the boss?" Jonas asked William earnestly. He originally planned for William to deal with the creature himself, but Jonas' perspective quickly changed when their guest covered the gaps in his Earth defense.
Even if William wasn't all that strong, Jonas had to admit that the man was a good asset for their team. He had no reason to ruin his relationship with a talented Space Mage.
William nodded, taking the initiative to travel up the stairwell first. He tread very carefully, making sure to avoid any random natural or man-made traps, then waited at the top in front of a set of elaborate double doors that reached almost two hundred meters into the air.
Stomp... Stomp... Stomp.
The ground trembled as something behind the double doors walked around. Jeron and the others didn't waste any time and cast a pillar of Earth at the doors, opening them from a distance and setting off a few traps in the process.
Immediately afterwards, Jonas cast an Earth Spike and sent it flying towards a hulking white mass that was the source of the footsteps. The Spike glanced off a giant metal shield, embedding itself into a nearby wall and forcing the creature to turn.
