I'm A Baller

Chapter 82 - Hugs And Kisses

Chapter 82: Hugs And Kisses

Lin Weiwei turned around and left. Wang Yan wasn’t worried about her leaving in anger either. She was someone who could take a joke. Wang Yan would not let such a good chance of teasing her slip away.

Served her right for scaring him just now!

Wang Yan was sincerely afraid of fermented soy milk. Countless tourists had thrown up after tasting just a sip of the drink. Their examples served as a painful lesson for everyone else!

While Wang Yan was happily following Lin Weiwei, he observed her from behind with an unscrupulous gaze. He suddenly noticed something.

Sister Weiwei’s walking posture…

Tsk…

Her walking posture was graceful!

Wang Yan couldn’t describe in detail what exactly he noticed, but he could sense the difference.

Her upper body was extremely stable. Her back was always perpendicular to the ground; her steps were light and smooth.

Ordinary people would first take a step before they shifted their upper bodies forward. However, she wasn’t like that. She would first shift her upper body’s center of gravity and then used her waist to propel her legs forward.

Both her hamstrings and calf muscles were stretched every time she took a step forward. She would traverse at least 90 centimeters with each step.

Her agile posture and the aura she emanated from taking such large strides were both sexy and handsome.

Moreover, she tied the bottom of her t-shirt in front, revealing five centimeters of her tiny waist. Wang Yan could see the muscles around her lower back. He could clearly see her erector spinae muscles as she moved. It was as though there was a flow of energy moving up her body from her feet.

It was f*cking sexy!

When this thought flashed past Wang Yan’s mind, even he felt somewhat puzzled by his own observation.

Instead of admiring a girl’s fair, long legs, he was mesmerized by her erector spinae muscles?

Had he gone mad?

However, in reality, fair and thin long legs could be found everywhere. On the other hand, beautiful yet toned muscles were hard to come by.

Wang Yan was able to appreciate this beauty, which proved that his aesthetic taste was improving rapidly.

He glanced at her, again and again.

Women were naturally sensitive. Lin Weiwei suddenly turned her head and looked at him suspiciously. “What are you thinking about behind my back? You’re dawdling like an old lady.”

Wang Yan took two quick steps and walked beside her. He asked curiously, “Sister Weiwei, why is it that you walk differently from a normal person? Your gait is different from that of Sanwan too.”

Wang Yan was frank about observing her and he openly asked her about her posture. Lin Weiwei revealed a relieved smile.

“Yo, you’re quite observant. Of course it’s different. Little Liu Li is trained in the classical dances while I’m trained in the International Style. We use different groups of muscles as our cores.”

As she was explaining with a smile, she suddenly frowned. “Huh? That’s not right. Judging from your posture and gait, you have obviously been trained before too. How is it that you don’t understand this?”

He had been trained before? Tell him another one!

He had his current achievements only because he was assigned a system.

Wang Yan sheepishly changed the topic, saying, “I’m not as professional as you girls.”

Lin Weiwei did not take his words seriously and explained casually, “International Style dancers like me view our torso as a shaft and our pelvis as a bearing to support our legs when performing movements. Our back muscles are always exerting forces, so it’s easy for us to develop a thick back, large waist and thighs.”

Wang Yan glanced at her shoulders and back. Then, he smiled evilly and commented, “If that’s the case, you definitely haven’t worked hard.”

Lin Weiwei had toned shoulders and a slim waist. Her lines were very delicate and she was not thick at all.

Lin Weiwei admitted frankly, “I’m a little too tall. My muscles are long but not thick. I don’t have enough explosive power. No matter how much I train, I can’t reach the top level. Hence, I’m not that ambitious. I enjoy dancing but I don’t expect to achieve a lot out of it. ”

She paused for a moment. Suddenly, she turned her head and stared at Wang Yan, saying, “But Liu Li is different. She still has room for improvement.”

“I know.”

Wang Yan smiled and looked back at her with a crystal clear gaze.

Lin Weiwei’s lips quivered slightly as she swallowed her initial response of “as long as you know what you’re doing,” She responded to him with another sentence, “The rest of us are not in the position to meddle in the affair between the two of you. She has plans for her future, but you probably don’t know her well enough yet.”

Wang Yan didn’t quite understand her words and blinked in confusion.

After a moment of contemplation, he softly replied, “We each have our own path. We’re just a more important part in each other’s lives. In this modern world, nothing will be everything for a person.”

Lin Weiwei chewed on Wang Yan’s words. After a long period of silence, she still hadn’t found a suitable reply for him.

A 15-year-old teenager often thought that love was everything in life.

A 25-year-old young adult often thought that their career was everything in life.

A 45-year-old middle-aged man often thought that family was everything in life.

Some of them could not comprehend other possibilities while some of them were merely deceiving themselves.

Regardless of the reason, people in every age group would have their own experiences, knowledge, and mentality which corresponded to their ages.

A person’s growth path should be a continuous line. Without the aid of a strong external force, it was impossible for a person to experience a leap in growth.

However, Wang Yan…

Woah!

Even as they were eating breakfast, Lin Weiwei was still contemplating about how Wang Yan was raised in order for him to have developed such a mentality.

They were eating Xi Si stuffed steamed buns. When Lin Weiwei saw Wang Yan gorge on buns, she was a little speechless. Wang Yan obviously still behaved like the stupid son of a landlord!

She really couldn’t get a read on him.

After eating and drinking their fill, Lin Weiwei asked Wang Yan about his plans. “Where do you want to go? Do you want to go to the Temple of Heaven and the Forbidden City?”

Wang Yan wanted to visit those two places, but unfortunately he couldn’t. It was almost time for him to study.

Perseverance was the key to building a habit.

After thinking for a while, he suggested, “Why don’t I bring you to the library?”

Lin Weiwei rolled her eyes as she objected, “The National Library is right across from us. I go into a daze whenever I see that building. Are you asking me to sit in there for the entire morning?”

As she spoke, it was as though she had recalled her identity. She was filled with righteous indignation.

She slapped her thigh as she said, “Look at my legs!”

Then, she put her hands on her waist. “Look at my waist!”

Next, she lifted her head high. “Look at my face!”

Finally, she concluded, “Park, amusement park, bar, KTV, nightclub, and tourist attraction. Anywhere you bring me to, I will surely be the center of attention. You can thank me for the honor. But you actually want to take me to the library? What the heck?!”

Wang Yan looked at her legs, then at her waist, and finally at her face. He then grinned as he begged for mercy perfunctorily.

“Sister Weiwei, I’m in the wrong! Don’t be angry. Let’s go read some books to calm down!”

(⊙_⊙) !!!

Why did he insist on going to the library?!

Lin Weiwei couldn’t do anything about Wang Yan. She bit her lower lip and mulled over it for a long time, but Wang Yan didn’t give in. In the end, she could only wave her hand angrily and turn around to leave, succumbing to his suggestion.

Wang Yan didn’t want to upset her, so he followed behind her with a smile. He kept asking about her well-being and looking for something to talk about.

As they were bickering, they arrived at the library. Wherever Lin Weiwei’s long legs passed, she indeed harvested the attention of all the bookworms.

Of course, her arrival wasn’t enough to cause a ruckus. However, wherever she passed, numerous single guys had their eyes glued onto her. Today was Saturday. The only group of people who would come to the library today were all single guys from the science and engineering schools nearby!

Wang Yan withstood countless resentful gazes and went to the journal area. Then, he left Lin Weiwei, the cause of others’ resentment towards him, at a side and went off to read by himself.

Lin Weiwei walked around and found an art journal. She sat next to Wang Yan and skimmed through the journal. She was extremely bored.

When her gaze inadvertently swept past Wang Yan’s face, her heart was suddenly in a trance.

Was this Gouzi really that serious about reading?

She observed Wang Yan from the side. The youth’s eyelashes were very long and there were some fine hairs on his cheeks. His stubble was fresh and he gave off a youthful vibe.

His face was not considered handsome. Since his jawline was not chiseled, his look didn’t leave a strong impression on others. One’s side profile was said to best hide one’s flaws. Even so, aside from his tall nose, there was nothing worthy of being mentioned about Wang Yan’s side profile.

Yet, there seemed to be a kind of solemnity which emanated from the youth’s extremely focused gaze. This unusual temperament could be sensed as soon as someone laid their eyes on him.

It was said that a man was the most attractive when he was immersed in his work. Someone who was immersed in reading… didn’t seem too bad?

Face-judger Lin Weiwei was still her usual self. She wasn’t attracted to Wang Yan, but she was slowly impressed by him.

She stopped flipping through the journal to pass the time. She rested her chin on her hands as she observed Wang Yan with great interest.

An hour later, she suddenly sighed and looked away.

If she hadn’t experienced it for herself, she would never have believed that Wang Yan really meant it when he said he wanted to read a book to calm down.

Lin Weiwei had mixed feelings. Her feelings were simply too difficult to be described with words.

After hesitating for a moment, she took out her phone, which had been set to silent mode. She played with it as she rested her head on the table.

She first sent a message to the private group where she and her besties were in.

“If I ever go out alone with Gouzi again, I, Lin Weiwei, will be a freaking husky. A purebred one at that!”

Lin Weiwei gnashed her teeth in annoyance. She ignored her friends’ replies and clicked into her WeChat private chat with Liu Li.

She sent a second message to Liu Li alone.

“You decide what you want to do. I will always support you and give you my blessing.”

There were two more messages above her latest message. They were the conversation between Lin Weiwei and Liu Li yesterday.

“Wang Yan is pretty good, but I don’t recommend giving yourself to him too quickly. People are fickle. We are all too young and you are particularly simple. It’s best for the two of you to spend more time together before you make the decision. You should wait until winter vacation.”

Liu Li’s reply was: “Being simple does not equal to being stupid. But thank you, Weiwei darling. Hugs and kisses!”
