I Killed The Main Characters

Chapter 27: First Act: Bloodbound Summoning [5]

The beam that shot into the sky was visible from all corners of the academy.

"What the-"

Professor Sharon exclaimed.

Professor Jacob who was sitted hurriedly rushed next to her as they peered through the window to fully take sight of the huge red beam coming from the top of Starlight Manor.

"...aren't those the students dormitories?"

Jacob asked.

"It is, somethings e one."

Sharon exclaimed as she dashed out the door of the staff offices.

Jacob followed closely.

"Where are the other professors and most importantly guards!?"

Jacob asked.

"It doesn't matter, we should atleast be the ones to get there and deal with what's happening!"

Sharon replied clenching her teeth.

Making their way out of the Tuition Cube completely they were now running through trees and shrubs.

At this rate there was no way they were going to make it to the dormitories let alone the town centre that was miles ahead.

Whilst running Sharon tied her orange hair in a ponytail as a being materialized before her.

Something that seemed to be a large Owl.

But Jacob knew all too well what it was.

Ofcourse he would, he had seen it countless times.

Spirit summoning.

And at the moment Sharon had summoned her most trusted one.

It was orange and fiery in nature almost like a hybrid between an owl and a phoenix.

The owl spirit was opaque and transparent in a way as it spread its massive wings that stretched across trees.

Sharon climbed on and immediately took hold of Jacob's collar.

"Hop on...hurry."

Sharon said as the owl took off to the sky.

Jacob was hanging and single-handedly being held by Sharon by his shirt collar.

Sharon strained.

But Jacob took hold of some feathers and used wind magic to kick himself off the air and onto the owl's back.

He lay there breathing heavily.

Only to notice that he was on top of Sharon.

For a moment he could swear that Sharon's face had turned red but the embarrassment drove him to quickly get off her.

Both didn't say a word.

Jacob dusted some feathers off him that dissappeared into magic dust.

"I don't know what is going on, but I can tell that red beam isn't just a party light show..."

Sharon stated.

Jacob adjusted his glasses and pushed back his blonde hair.

He squinted his eyes into the distance that after a while they widened.

"...wait the aura leaking out of there?"

Jacob stated.

"What about it?",

Sharon asked only for Jacob to keep quiet.

"Do you know something?....

Jacob!"

Jacon snapped back but his eyes were almost dry staring into the distance.

They were making their way closer and closer to the Ravenwood manors.

When the owl arrived metres from the Starlight Manor Professor Sharon was able to make out two figures at the top.

One was dangling and the other was trying to hold on to the one who was about to fall.

The one helping was a boy with jet black hair that flattered in the air, his teeth were clenched.

The shirt he was wearing was torn in pieces and bloody at certain places especially the arms.

The red academy tie he was wearing was surprisingly still intact, just loosely tied and flapping wildly through the intense wind.

The other figure dangling was wearing a black hoodie.

The hood dropped from its head and revealed long lustrous hair that flattered in the air as well.

Red hair and eyes of a similar colour that glowed intensely.

Sharon wasn't able to make out who the girl was but she could tell who the boy was.

Without warning, the girl plummeted down.

To Sharon it seemed as if the boy had let go of the girl's arm on purpose.

Further and further down, the girl was eventually going to make her way to the ground.

But they all knew it would be the end of her.

What awaited was nothing but Death!

"Kase...move down, we need to catch her!"

Sharon instructed her spirit owl.

"Roger that!"

The owl responded but could only be heard by professor Sharon who was the contract holder.

With one swift motion, the owl swooped downwards.

Faster and faster.

Jacob who seemed like it was his first time flying on a spririt animal could only hold on tightly as the hush wind slapped his face.

Jacob tried to hold his glasses but it got swept by the wind.

He looked back to see where it had fallen but couldn't tell.

All he could do was hope that at such a perilous time, he would be able to see clearly.

Replacing them wasn't an issue, he would do it once everything was taken care off and peace was restored.

But first, catching the falling student was top priority as of the moment.

The owl swooped down and Sharon was ready to catch her.

"...just a bit closer..."

Inches to the ground Sharon caught her by the hoodie she was wearing but the force and momentum made her hit her head on the ground.

Sharon hopped off Kase and gently held the girl.

Pushing back her hair she could see blood streaming down the girls forehead and even covering her eyes.

"...no...no, no, NO!"

Sharon muttered.

She felt the girl's arm only to find no impulse, on top of that the girl's body was getting colder and colder.

Jacob got off Kase and hurried next to Sharon.

Sharon gazed up at Jacob and slowly shook her head.

He didn't want clarification it was evident.

The red haired girl was dead.

Professor Sharon's gaze shifted back to the top as an explosion of immense red energy

Went off.

The result caused a massive wind that had them cover their eyes from the dust and debris.

Suddenly the air was chill and cold with what seemed to be snowflakes in the air.

But it was different, the snowflakes were red.

Sharon looked up again and muttered under her breath.

"...Noah, what have you done?..."

[2 Minutes Earlier]

"Come on everyone...just a few more steps."

Ariana said as she looked back to see Rylan and Noah's assistant helping Xander up the stairs.

It wasn't too long ago that the barrier completely went off and now they had to head up as Noah had said.

They reached the door and Ariana opened it.

As soon as she did, there was a sudden explosion of energy that caused a mighty wind.

It had them hold on to the rails intensely.

With all they had they forced their way in and stepped through the door.

Ariana noticed a blue haired girl whose eyes were teared up on the floor.

Her expression was one of fear and confusion.

Noticing her she hurried to her side

"Amy..."

Rylan, Maya and Xander made their way to the top as well.

They lay Xander by a wall who had passed out some minutes ago due to severe bleeding.

The red beam that was still causing intense wind died down and was no longer there.

It had completely dissipated.

But what it left made all 4 quiver in fear.

Ariana who couldn't take in the pressure immediately vomited as she dropped to the ground.

All 4 looked up to see a being.

A being who wore the academy's white shirt and red tie.

But what caught their attention were the two holographic like red horns on his forehead.

On top of that there were two wide red icy wings protruding from his back.

He was suspended mid air, a massive red magic circle etched and glowing below him.

The air was cold and chilly with Ariana noticing red snowflakes in the air.

All they could do was widen their eyes in fear whilst sweating.

Then as if in sync, all 4 of their systems appeared at once displaying the same message.
