Chapter 27
Chapter 27: Silent Night
After leaving the nightclub, Kota was speeding in the night with Sikal.
She was as if a red fairy, squinting her eyes as she faced the wind outside the car window.
High-rises were on both sides of the road.
Those expensive office buildings were still brightly lit.
It was almost midnight, but the people in this top city in this world were still fighting for their future by working overtime.
They still had their purpose in life, but Sikal did not know what to do next.
She was confused and helpless.
The emptiness in her heart and body intertwined, almost tearing her apart.
“You drank too much, I’ll send you back.” Kota glanced at Sikal.
“You want to send me back? Just send me back?” Sikal looked at Kota impudently.
She did not want to know who Kota was, and she couldn’t care less about his identity.
Since the feeling was right, and that he could give her that kind of excitement, having something happen was better than tossing and turning in the bed alone.
Perhaps she would feel better that way.
He would not know who she was after tonight.
Nothing would remain in memories after tonight.
“The room in the second row of the New York Construction Zone.” She gently twirled her hair around her ear and looked at Kota with interest.
He was a wonderful choice as a one-night stand partner.
Kota glanced at Sikal’s desire list.
The first item was, ‘She needs excitement. The stronger the better. Only then will her attention be diverted.’
“Construction Zone?” It was not far away from here.
Kota stepped on the accelerator.
The car went from 60 km/h to 120 km/h almost instantly.
Ahh..
It caught Sikal off guard, feeling herself being pushed back in the seat by the insane acceleration of the world’s top supercar.
Night wind blowing into the window messed her hair up.
But she felt a sense of relief in her exhilaration.
“Go faster!”
Sikal closed her eyes.
She was scared as the car sped up, but she enjoyed that feeling.
Fifteen minutes later, Kota held Sikal and opened the door of her apartment.
The environment around her apartment was great, as there was greenery all around. Most of the apartment units here were small.
The monthly rent was around $3,000 to $4,000.
Monthly rent of $3,000 was almost unimaginable for Kota in the past.
Sikal shook off her high heels as soon as she stepped in and padded into the house on the wooden flooring.
She threw the house key in her hand onto the desk near to the door.
There was no light.
The small apartment was only about 170-80 square meters.
The decoration was simple, with a double bed on the first floor and a piano on one side of the living room.
Other than that, there were no other big pieces of furniture.
The moonlight outside the window fell into the room and also Sikal’s perfect body.
Her soft fair skin and dark shadows were intertwining with each other.
“Do I look good?”
“Not bad.” Kota did not say it, but quietly marvelled at her beauty.
At first, he was only drawn to Sikal because he saw Catherine’s name in her desire list.
But the subsequent events had developed to this extent.
If he wanted to find out about her relationship with Catherine, he could only wait until this was over.
Sikal had not been so excited and happy for a long time.
As an elite woman in the workplace, she was a typical career woman and had been keeping her virginity for over 20 years. Unable to satisfy her normal desires as a woman and coupled with the enormous professional pressure, things started to drive her crazy.
She looked at Kota with her crescent moon-like beautiful eyes with light flickering in them.
She suddenly smiled and dragged Kota’s collar back.
No one said a word, and there was no need to.
Kota had no hesitation.
He mercilessly pressed her against the piano in the living room.
“Bang!”
Her hands were forced onto the piano keys. The loud sound rang out in the middle of the night in the house.
This sound also hit the depths of Sikal’s heart.
It seemed to have broken something inside her.
“This guy is definitely a veteran.” A thought flashed through Sikal’s mind.
Time passed quickly.
‘It was four in the morning.
Deep sea, suppression, breathing…
Mountain villa, naked, confused, scared…’
These words meant nothing when joined. It just seemed chaotic.
It was as if she was having a very chaotic dream right now.
Ever since he came into contact with Sikal, he knew that something must have been bothering her, although he did not know what she had gone through.
That was the reason she desperately tried to get herself drunk in the middle of the night. Otherwise, she could not fall asleep.
As the dynamics of Sikal’s heart kept changing, Kota finally thought of a possibility.
‘This woman is probably suffering from severe depression.’
Kota’s gaze swept over the piano. When he recalled the scene where he and Sikal were doing on the piano, he suddenly stood up.
‘It just so happens that I just won a piano skill in the lucky draw, maybe I can try it.’
He gently sat on the edge of the bed, and his hands once again touched the piano keys.
Kota did not know how to play piano. He had not even touched such an elegant instrument, but he had won piano kill in the last lucky draw.
When his hands touched the piano keys, he had a wonderful illusion.
It was as if the keys in his hands could talk and express themselves.
Gently, Kota played a piece of music he did not know its name.
As the notes continued to flow into his mind, he played slowly with no hesitation.
Sikal was in a dream where she sank into an endless dark sea. She was struggling to breathe, but it was useless, as if her body weighed a thousand pounds in.
She heard the arrogant laughter of the socialites in the mountainside villa that day, and their lewd whispers over the clinking of wine glasses. All these voices suffocated her.
At this moment, a burst of music rang from the depths of the pitch-black sea.
It lifted her heavy body and brought her up into the air.
Sikal’s empty heart and repressed feeling suddenly were suddenly relieved.
