Chapter 154 Return To Forbes Park

There was a set of stairs behind the blast door and when Arlan and Cedrick walked down the stairs, the LED lights above them suddenly lit up, illuminating the dark passageway.

Arlan was surprised by its automatic function, but he continued walking down the passageway. Meanwhile, Cedrick carefully followed him with his right hand holding the handle of his gun.

At the end of the staircase, they saw another blast door in front of them, but this was bigger than the door outside.

Arlan studied the door and saw a fingerprint scanner at the middle-right side. He pressed his thumb on the scanner. After scanning his thumbprint, they heard a 'ka-cha' sound.

Arlan pushed the door, but he noticed that it felt heavy so he added more strength. Based on his estimates, it would take two adult men to fully open this door. Arlan was already strengthened by the Body Enhancing Serum and the Gene Evolution Liquid so this didn't trouble him.

"Boss, there is a map of the bunker here." Cedrick called out to him.

Arlan walked towards him and stared at the map pasted on the wall. The map was quite complicated and the bunker has numerous pathways that leads to another floor.

A large portion of the bunker was the living space which was made up of over twenty floors and these floors were labeled 'Living Zone' on the map. Each Living Zone can accommodate up to a thousand people!

The bunker was also self-sustainable because it artificially produces vegetables and fruits. It also has a water and air filtration system.

"Let's go back. The bunker is too huge and we might get lost inside." Arlan said after looking at the map.

"Yes, boss!" Cedrick nodded his head in agreement.

The two quickly exited the bunker.

"That was quick." Krizia said when she saw them walking out of the door.

Arlan smiled and shook his head. "We have plenty of time to visit the bunker in the future. Anyway, have you looked into what I asked earlier?"

Krizia nodded as she replied. "Yes, Mr. Roa. According to a friend of mine, this area is owned by a mining company under the Rising Dragon Group."

"The Rising Dragon Group? That makes things easier." Arlan chuckled as he grabbed his phone. He then dialed Eugene's number.

"Hello, Mr. Roa!"

"Hello, Mr. Tan. I was wondering if we have a mining company in Catanduanes." Arlan didn't waste any time and directly asked Eugene about the matter.

Krizia stared at him curiously wondering who he was speaking with.

"Oh, yes! We do have a mining company in Catanduanes, but why do you ask Mr. Roa?"

"You see, I want to buy a piece of land in the mountains of Catanduanes, but..." Arlan told him about the land where the bunker was located.

"I see. I will inform the mining company about this, Mr. Roa, and have them transfer the ownership of the land. The Rising Dragon Group will pay for the cost." Eugene generously said.

Arlan immediately rejected it and said. "That won't do. We can't use the company's money arbitrarily. Just inform the mining company about the details and I will pay them."

"I will follow your arrangements, Mr. Roa. I will give you a call after I talk with the mining company."

"Great! Thank you." Arlan disconnected the call and grinned at Krizia. "It's settled."

"Was that Eugene Tan, the owner of Rising Dragon Group?" Krizia asked while looking at him.

Arlan nodded and chuckled as he said. "It's Eugene Tan, the former owner of Rising Dragon Group."

"Former owner? You mean..." Krizia stared at him in surprise.

"Let's go back home first. Eugene will handle the rest. We just need to pay the mining company for the price of the land." Arlan was happy to receive the nuclear bunker. It could accommodate 20 thousand people so he could turn this into one of his bases.

"What about the military equipment?" Krizia asked.

"I'll call Lieutenant General Rivera once we arrive in the mansion." Arlan replied.

Arlan's group returned to the mansion in Forbes Park via helicopter. Upon their arrival, Arlan called the commanding general.

"Good afternoon, General! How are you?" Arlan walked towards Winter's office as he said those words.

"I don't have time to exchange pleasantries with you, Mr. Roa. Why did you call me?" Arlan could tell that the commanding general was in a bad mood after hearing his voice.

Arlan snickered in his heart. He knew that the commanding general must be under so much stress lately after he had openly provoked the president. However, Arlan didn't say anything about this. "General, the weapons and equipment you ordered are ready, but they are still in Catanduanes."

"You completed them ahead of schedule?" There was a change in the commanding general's tone.

"That's right."

"Just tell me the location and I'll ask my men to pick them up." The commanding general's tone became gentler.

"I'll send you the address after this call." Arlan heaved a sigh of relief. Luckily, the commanding general didn't ask him why the equipment was in Catanduanes.

"Alright... Wait! Do you have an appointment tomorrow?" The commanding general asked in a low voice.

Arlan grinned when he heard this. "I'll make time for you, General." He replied.

"I will visit your mansion in Forbes Park tomorrow at 10 a.m. I want to talk with you about something."

The commanding general was probably having it rough after he expressed his opposition to the president. Arlan already expected this to happen. He was already aware of how powerful the Maracas Family was. Lieutenant General Rivera might be an influential figure, but he was nothing against them.

"Alright. I will wait for you, General."

The commanding general disconnected the call.

Arlan kept his phone and knocked on the door.

Knock! Knock!

"It's me." He shouted before he pushed the door open. When he entered the room, he saw Winter drinking a cup of freshly brewed coffee. He could tell from its aroma.
