Chapter 152 Meeting Paolo De Luca Again

Paolo De Luca was in a bad mood. The high-ranking members of the De Luca Family have been causing trouble for him lately because of his recent altercation with Arlan Dominic Roa. They admonished him for making enemies with a mysterious and powerful person. His father even asked him to personally lead the transportation of Arlan's weapons as punishment for his foolish actions. "Dammit! If only I hadn't listened to that bastard Eduardo Cassano!" He cursed under his breath while looking at the boundless ocean.

"Boss!" The urgent voice of his subordinate echoed behind him.

Paolo De Luca frowned while looking at the man. "What is it?"

"Boss, someone contacted us!" The man said anxiously.

"Why are you so anxious? Just tell them that we are transporting items. We already prepared fake documents for matters like this." Paolo De Luca glared at his subordinate.

"We already did that, boss. However, they mentioned your name! I think those people are Arlan Dominic Roa's subordinates!"

"So it's just them." Paolo De Luca nodded his head.

"Boss, we haven't located their ship on our radar!" The man wiped off his sweat.

"What do you mean?" Paolo De Luca stared at him in shock.

"That means their ship has a stronger radar and communication system since they could establish contact with us when we can't even locate them! Boss, I think their ship is a battleship..."

Paolo De Luca turned silent at his words. He then pushed the man aside as he headed to the control room with a solemn look on his face.

"Boss, you're finally here! There is someone who wants to speak with you."

Paolo De Luca grabbed the communication device from his hand and spoke. "Hello. This is Paolo De Luca speaking." He stared at the radar as he said those words, but there was nothing to be seen.

"Hello, Mr. De Luca!" A teasing voice drifted into his ears.

Paolo's face twitched when he heard Arlan's voice. "Mr. Roa!"

"I thought you had already forgotten about my voice..." Arlan chuckled.

"How could I? I'm just surprised that you are here to receive the goods in person." Paolo De Luca tried to hide the agitation in his voice. This guy caused him major losses, but he couldn't even do anything about it. He might not be able to inherit the De Luca Family's businesses if he caused more trouble for them.

"I got bored at home so I decided to come here... Anyway, tell your men to stop your ship. We will be there soon."

Arlan's commanding tone displeased him but held back his frustration. "Alright." He replied before he ended the conversation.

Soon, their radar finally discovered a ship moving towards them.

"They are moving so fast!"

"Boss, it's a battleship!"

"Oh, sh*t! Are they planning to kill us here?!"

"Shut up!" Paolo De Luca shouted. He was also nervous, but he had to remain calm in this situation to stop his men from panicking.

Paolo grabbed a binocular from a dumbfounded subordinate and aimed it towards the approaching ship. The intimidating battleship made his scalp turn numb. 'How did that bastard get his hand on a battleship?!'

The battleship slowed down after reaching a certain distance and this somehow lessened the tension in Paolo's crew members.

They noticed that the other party dropped three speed boats and a group of soldiers jumped on them. They were still quite far so it was hard to see their faces even through the binoculars. Paolo De Luca didn't know if Arlan was among them.

"Prepare the goods!" Paolo shouted to his men before he left the control room. When he left the room, he noticed that his men were aiming their guns at the incoming speedboats so he quickly shouted at them. "What are you idiot doing?! Lower your weapons you bloody bastards! Do you want us to get killed?! Can't you see their f*cking ship?!"

Paolo smack the heads of his subordinates and he even kicked one of them in the ass. "Stupid idiots!" He cursed angrily.

The three speed boats arrived beneath their ship and Paolo's crew lowered a ladder for them to climb up.

Paolo and his subordinates nervously stared at the climbing soldiers. They didn't even dare to grab their weapons, afraid that the other party would misunderstand.

The first person who climbed up was a tall and muscular soldier with blonde hair and more people arrived after him. All of them looked incredibly intimidating which made Paolo's subordinate even more nervous.

These guys were wearing complete body armor, looking like soldiers from the future.

"We meet again, Mr. De Luca!" A familiar voice echoed in Paolo's ears. He immediately turned his head and saw Arlan who was dressed in the same armor, walking towards him. Arlan was holding a helmet in his left hand and a dark blue cane in the other. He felt weird when he saw the cane in Arlan's hand.

"Mr. Roa, I'm glad to see you in good shape!" Paolo De Luca forced out a smile as he extended his arm.

Arlan chuckled at his words as he shook the other party's hand.

"Why don't we sit and chat while our men are transferring the goods?" Paolo said as he pointed at the seats nearby.

"Alright." Arlan nodded his head. He then gave his helmet to a soldier behind him before he walked with Paolo De Luca. Cedrick and Krizia followed them silently.

"Mr. Roa, I sincerely apologize for offending! I'll drink this entire bottle to atone for my ignorance." Paolo De Luca said before he chugged down a bottle of strong alcohol.

Arlan didn't stop him. He just stared at Paolo with a look of amusement.

Paolo wasn't a weak guy by any means. He actually managed to finish the entire bottle in less than a minute! His face turned red and his eyes looked sluggish. "P-Please forgive me, Mr. Roa!" He lowered his head.

Arlan grinned as he replied. "It's all in the past."
