Chapter 135 Syrian Pirates
The person leading the escort team was a quiet person. He didn't even talk to Arlan's group after introducing himself briefly.
They traveled for an hour before they arrived at the port where a transport boat fetched them. The mercenaries returned their weapons after they boarded the boat.
The crew on this boat was also part of the Legion Military Company.
'These guys seemed to be experienced in handling matters like this.' Arlan thought to himself.
"I am the captain of this ship. We will bring you guys to Istanbul, Turkey. We will stop there for a day to make your passports. After making your passports, our team will escort you to the airport." An African middle-aged man wearing a balaclava mask said.
"How many days until we reach Istanbul?" Arlan asked.
The captain of the ship turned his gaze to Arlan and replied. "3 to 4 days depending on the weather and the situation."
"Thanks for letting me know." Arlan went inside the sleeping quarters together with the others.
Khalon commanded the soldiers to stand guard in rotating shifts. Although the mercenaries didn't reveal any hostility, it was better to be prepared.
There were only a few sleeping quarters in the boat so they had to stay in groups of five or six. Each room had two to three double-deck beds and there was almost no space to walk.
"I'm sorry you. I shouldn't have brought you to Milan with the group." Arlan stared apologetically at Krizia. This girl had experienced many life-threatening situations on their way here.
Krizia shook her head as she squeezed out a smile. "You don't have to apologize, Mr. Roa. I chose to go with you guys. Besides, I'm now your assistant so I have to be with you all the time."
Arlan sighed as he patted her shoulder. "You should take a rest." He then turned his gaze to Ben Hidalgo. The guy had a sullen look on his face and he would sigh every now and then while thinking about something.
"Mr. Hidalgo, you should get some rest. We don't know what will happen in the next few days." Arlan reminded.
Ben Hidalgo raised his head to stare at him. He nodded and replied. "I will."
Arlan didn't say anything after that. He was also tired from the journey so he rested on the bed.

Despite not having an internet connection, he still managed to claim his daily reward from the mysterious app.
Arlan slowly got down from the bed. He then checked on Krizia and Ben. They were still sleeping soundly so he didn't disturb them. He headed out of the room to get some fresh air.
"Good morning, boss!" Khalon and the soldiers on guard duty greeted Arlan after seeing him coming out.
Arlan nodded at them. "What's the situation?" He asked while looking at Khalon.
"According to the captain, we have entered the territory of Syrian pirates so we have to remain alert." Khalon replied in a solemn tone.
"Pirates?" Arlan raised his eyebrows.
Khalon nodded. "Although Syrian pirates aren't strong, most of them are armed with automatic rifles and RPGs. We have to be careful if we encounter them."
Arlan didn't feel good when he heard that. His soldiers were only equipped with stolen guns from the Cassano Family. It would be dangerous if they encounter pirates who were equipped with RPGs.
"Boss, the crew of this ship are experts in this area. I observed them last night and I discovered that they are very well-equipped. Even if we encounter those pirates, they should be able to handle them." Khalon said when he saw Arlan's expression.
Arlan nodded. "Keep your eyes peeled and inform me immediately if you notice anything suspicious."
"Yes, boss!" The soldiers answered.
Arlan headed to the comfort room to take a dump. He felt a bit seasick and his stomach was upset. Arlan brought the blue cane with him and there was also a pistol strapped on his leg. He didn't feel safe knowing that this part of the sea was the territory of Syrian pirates.
After thirty minutes in the comfort room, Arlan headed towards the deck of the ship to see the situation. On his way there, he passed by Khalon and the soldiers. "Follow me."
There were some crews at the deck playing card games while drinking beer. They were laughing and talking as if they were not in a dangerous environment.
"Please pardon my crew's attitudes." The captain said as he walked towards them.
"Sir, it seems like your people aren't worried at all." Arlan chuckled when he saw the embarrassed expression of the captain.
"The pirates are nothing to worry about. They usually avoid us if they see the flag on our ship. We have traveled this sea for many years and we have lost no battle against them." The captain smiled proudly while pointing at their flag.
Arlan stared at the fluttering flag.
The captain was a bit talkative and he told them about their experiences in the sea. Of course, he didn't tell them anything about their past missions. Arlan didn't feel bored listening to him. He didn't even notice that more than an hour had passed by.
Ben Hidalgo and Krizia had already woken up. They were sitting beside Arlan as they listened to the captain's story. It was the only thing they could do on the ship and it save them from boredom.
When evening arrived, the group saw a flickering light ahead of them. It looked like a signal light of a ship.
"It's them!" The captain frowned. "Men, take out your weapons!"
Arlan also gave a signal to Khalon and the soldiers. He grabbed two rifles and handed one to Krizia. "Stay behind us. You know how to use this, right?"
Krizia was nervous, but she nodded her head. "Yes. I've practiced firing them before..."
"Good. There is no need for you to actively fire. Just keep yourself safe." Arlan reminded her. He then asked one soldier to protect her.
