Chapter 133 The Power Of The Sword
Arlan told the group to get inside the abandoned buildings and instructed them to find a spot to ambush the enemies.
"Eduardo Cassano's group is taking the western alley. They are 200 meters from your location." Winter reported.
Arlan gave a signal to Khalon as he pressed his blue cane.
Ka-cha!
It soon transformed into a blue sword.
"Everyone, stay sharp!" Arlan communicated over the radio as he looked through the broken gaps in the wall. From here, he could see the western alley where Eduardo's group was headed.
Soon, Arlan heard the sound of several vehicles.
Arlan narrowed his eyes as he unblinkingly stared through the gaps in the wall. He was hiding on the third floor of an abandoned building. The others were strategically hiding in different locations.
Soon, Arlan saw more than ten people searching through the nearby buildings.
"They moved in three separate groups. Each group has at least ten people. Their locations are..." Arlan and the others received Winter's report.
Arlan tightly held the handle of the sword as he muttered in his heart. 'Let's see how strong you are against humans...'
Three people wandered on the first floor of the building where he was hiding. He was looking for an opportunity to strike.
"They left their cars outside. They shouldn't have gone far from here. Look carefully! They should be hiding inside these abandoned buildings!" Someone shouted.
Arlan was now hiding behind a pillar on the third floor of the building. He could see that one enemy was moving in his direction. The guy was holding an automatic rifle and he was even wearing a protective vest.
The other party still hasn't noticed him as he warily observed the surrounding. His back was currently facing Arlan, leaving him completely exposed.
Arlan quietly moved towards the man and slashed diagonally with his sword.
Shua!
As if he was cutting through vegetables, the man's body was immediately cut in half! There wasn't even any form of resistance as his sword's blade slashed through the man!
'What the hell! This thing is so sharp! I didn't even feel anything when I cut him!' He thought.
The man didn't die immediately. He stared at the decapitated lower half of his body and the internal organs spilling out of his stomach. "Erghh!" He groaned painfully as he coughed several mouthfuls of blood.
Arlan cut off his head to relieve him from his misery. He then grabbed the man's weapons and transformed the sword back into a cane.
There were still two more enemies in the building, but Arlan quickly eliminated them.
"Three hostiles down..." Arlan reported over the radio.
Khalon and the others also managed to dispatch their enemies. They were the best soldiers under Arlan and their skills were on a whole different level compared to Eduardo's men.
Everyone was killed before they could alert their comrades so Eduardo's group was still unaware about their deaths.

"Boss, something isn't right. Team 1 and Team 2 haven't reported back yet. I tried to contact them, but I received no response."
Eduardo frowned after hearing this. They came here in a hurry after receiving a piece of information that Arlan's group met the De Luca Family's heir for a business transaction. They were sent here by the leader of the Cassano Family to eliminate Arlan's group.
"Inform our men to regroup with us. I don't believe those guys already eliminated Team 1 and Team 2. They might be using a device to disrupt our communication within a certain distance." Eduardo muttered.
Soon, Eduardo's subordinates returned, but among the forty people that came with him, only less than twenty remained.
"What's going on?!" Eduardo flew into rage. He couldn't understand what was happening. The people he brought were not the elite soldiers of the family, but they were still proper soldiers. They shouldn't have gone down so easily even against special forces.
"Boss, it looks like the soldiers in Team 1 and Team 2 are dead. The enemies this time must be the elite soldiers under Arlan Dominic Roa. We should return to the headquarters and ask for more support. We will only be killed if we remain here." One of his subordinates suggested with a hint of anxiety in his tone.
Eduardo didn't want to admit defeat, but the disappearance of Team 1 and Team 2 made him fearful of their enemies. He didn't think that they could actually take out their soldiers without alerting anyone.
Eduardo gritted his teeth as he gave the order. "Retreat!"

"Eduardo's group has retreated." Winter reported.
Arlan heaved a sigh of relief after hearing this. He gathered everyone in front of their vehicles.
"Boss, they destroyed our cars." Khalon reported.
"I figured they would do that. Let's leave this place first. They might come back soon." Arlan muttered while staring at the vehicles with flat tires.
The group headed to a different location. They now had weapons so they had to stay out from the public.
"The Cassano Family filed a report to the local police and told them to barricade the entire city." Winter's report made Arlan feel a sense of urgency.
"Dammit! They are really determined to kill us!" Ben Hidalgo cursed angrily. "Mr. Roa, do you want me to seek help from the De Luca Family? I don't think Paolo will sit still if he knows that we are in this situation."
Arlan shook his head. "We can't. If I'm not wrong, the De Luca Family already knows about this. They might even be the ones that gave the Cassano Family a tip-off."
Ben Hidalgo's face changed. "No! Paolo wouldn't do that to me!"
"Mr. Hidalgo, Paolo is the heir of the De Luca Family. He will do anything to gain profit for his family. He must have gotten a huge payment for giving our information to the Cassano Family." Arlan muttered solemnly.
"This can't be..." Ben grabbed his head with a blank look on his face. The betrayal of his long-time friend was a huge blow to him.
