I Became A System

Chapter 51 - Inventory

As Ellena was killing some mutated animals, inside the forest, Aaron was helping her with attacking by his advantage being invisible. Since he has less strength, he just kicks the eyes to remove their vision for a short time.

"Can mutated fox really hurt you, Ellena?" Aaron jokingly uttered.

Ellena was just a bronze ranker, but obviously, she has the capabilities of being a silver ranker or even higher.

However, since she has to rank up, she must suffer being in this tier.

"It's still a nice practice. I am enjoying fighting this kind of monster."

Ellena was just keeping her pace in slaying the monsters. Even the quota in the quest was just 3 monsters, she almost slew 15 since she is on the way to her next quest.

2 hours have passed since she started her quest, she already finished 5 of them.

"I suggest buying Inventory ability. It's convenient." Aaron commented, seeing Ellena carry a huge bag of materials from the monsters.

"How much is it?" She asked. As Aaron heard it, he excitedly announced it.

"Just 10 points! This will save your energy too since it is an indefinite dimension, the use of stamina is just for access to that dimension." Explaining things, even though Ellena can't understand it, she just instinctively nodded.

"Let's buy it, I'm getting tired of carrying this much stuff."

Excitedly, Aaron requested the book then took out the Inventory ability. As soon as he found it, he initially installed it on Ellena.

Ellena felt something added to her. Just after receiving the ability, she called it out then in the thin air, before her a transparent screen window like the status board appeared. There are slots on it that unconsciously she understood how it works.

"I see." She lifted the bag then throw it in the inventory.

Just after it got in, an icon appeared on the screen, a bag icon just the same as she carried.

[Material Bag, 25kg] <1x>

Ellena nods more as she gets more grasp into it. "Let's go. I'm getting hungry, I forgot to bring food."

As Ellena said that, Aaron followed her going back in the direction of the city.

Inside the city, they searched for a restaurant or just a diner in the merchant district. They found a pleasing, presentable restaurant that even average people enter.

"This sounds good." She commented before entering it.

"What meal would you like to have, esteemed customer?" As she got in, a lady just like her age greeted her. She was apparently a servant.

"Can I have the menu?" Ellena asked before she sat in a chair.

"Yes." She handed out an unconditioned parchment paper.

Ellena browsed the menu then finally selected a meal for her.

"Please one order of Braised Pure Pork," Ellena ordered.

"Right away." Then the servant left her.

Aaron was curious about the food. As he didn't really know what food is in this world, he instinctively asked her since he can't eat it himself.

"What's Braised Pure Pork?"

'It's a meal from pure pig pork. Not a mutated animal.' Ellena answered in her head.

"Oh... So it was just like that. Nothing is special in it anyways."

The food finally arrived. Since Ellena was hungry, she initially ate the food at a speed, but with a class.

"You're hungry?" Aaron asked.

'Can't you see?' Ellena sarcastically answered him.

"Good for you, I don't eat so I was imagining the food."

Ellena just felt pity for him. 'Sorry.' She said.

"Huh? What's with you. It's not even a deal for me. I'm almost 17 in this world just like you so I get accustomed to it."

'Hah... I understand.' She continued eating the food.

After some time, Ellena left the restaurant, paying with the money that Lushana gave her, she continued her quest, going back to the forest.

As she entered the forest, her next quest was common among the quests. She already fought this kind of monster. "Mutated wolves again."

Since Ellena already know how to kill some mutated wolves, she took out her sword as she encountered one of them.

Aaron who has nothing to do enjoyed watching Ellena fight with the monsters.

From her training in the mansion, her fighting style drastically rose. She doesn't depend on her abilities, and right now she can fight them by just using pure skills.

After some minutes, she finally knocked down the last monster in the vicinity.

"That makes 18! Let's move to the last quest!" Ellena excitedly exclaimed.

"Ellena, I have a suggestion, would you like to leave this city after these quests?" Aaron asked.

"Why? I find it enjoying here."

"Well, it's still near the mansion. Obviously, how can you build a reputation and connection if you don't expand your location."

Ellena nods as she understood Aaron's sentiments. It is true that whether she builds a connection here, it's still useless since it is under her grandmother's connections.

"I understand. Then where do you suggest?"

After reading plenty of books, Aaron has a small grasp of the geography of the dukedom. Since he knows which places are best to have a connection or relationship, he suggested it to Ellena immediately.

"I recommend some neutral territories in the dukedom. It will drastically help you to have a backing when you went to the academy."

"That's wise. I had thought of it but I didn't pay much attention since I really find it hard to execute. Do you have any suggestions?" Continuing, Aaron used his backup plans appropriately.

"Then I suggest becoming lowkey or anonymous. It is also a good way to increase your intimidation level and mysterious aura and they would be wary and curious of you."

"That's convenient, huh. I agree. Then let's start our journey after this."

A few minutes later, Ellena finished her final quest. Since the bag is almost full, she decided to use another bag.

They went back to the city and to not raise some suspicion, Ellena took out the bag then manually carried it to the adventurer's guild.

As soon as she set her feet inside, everyone's attention was moved to her. They wonder why a young lady is carrying such a huge bag of materials.

One of the staff inquired to Ellena immediately, also to know who was her.

"Do you have any business with us, young lady? Are you here to sell?" The staff asked.

"Huh? I'm not here to sell. I'm here to surrender these materials for the rewards of my quest." Ellena said in a disbelieving tone. She ponders why these people are looking at her in a dazed manner.

"Can I ask for your guild card?"

Ellena handed her guild card, leaving the staff dumbfounded as he read the history of achievements and contributions in the card.
