Chapter 124: Blood works
Kaelith laughed. "I admit, I now consider you a threat worth fighting. Answer my summon, My Blood Children!"
The blood pool ripped, and creatures began to come out: blood worms bigger than humans, monsters of different kinds, and even humans and beastmen.
Thayer saw elves and dwarves and all kinds of races, and the one thing that was constant among them all was the rose blood they had for eyes; their sockets were covered in a rose bloom.
And then behind them all is a monster that stands bigger than the others; it matches the golem Thayer was standing on. "I guess you won't be a Necromancer if you don't have an army. Ah, now I have to fight and get armor dirty, a shame,!"
Kaelith gave an order to his horde. "Destroy all his artifacts and any who stand in your way, especially for that portal pole, then kill them! But leave that brat to me!"
Thayer didn't have to send commands as the golem army was connected to the d of the golem and said. "Right, come at me....!!"
Kaelith was already in front of him, and his eyes blazed with fury and red light; his aura pressure slammed into Thayer, powerful enough to make him pass out or fall to his knees.
But Thayer only grimaced. "You're so fast! But can you tone down the pressure? It's scraping against my soft skin."
Kaelith's anger rose. To think his presence had no effect did affect him. He smiled, but then he's no ordinary Iron rank, is he? Instead of trying to intimidate the arrogant bastard, I'll just beat him until he passes out!
He reached out for his head and he was shocked when Thayer avoided him with ease. "W...what is that armor you are wearing?"
The gap between the ranks isn't something that can be sneezed about. Leaving out the level of Codex, the body will get strengthened so much so that based on strength alone, silver can crush Iron with only their right hand.
So is he fast because of the armor? Or something else? Kaelith realized now that he put in the effort if he wanted to defeat Thayer, and it rubbed him the wrong way.
"That's good too, close and personal!" He leaped straight at him, hand drawn back, and bam! His punch carried its supersonic boom that split the air.
It stirred Thayer's air and even though he dodged it, he felt a chill as if the blow did touch him. But before he could even blink, he was in front of him again, kicking out this time, and he got it right in the gut!
Thayer grunted as he slammed into one of his golems; the reason he was able to keep up with Kaelith's speed was before of an ability he's using, and it's called short teleportation; it's part of light magic.
So each time Kaelith attacks, he'll use it to move a short distance away. But one thing he forgot is that the person he's fighting isn't a warrior but a type of mage.
He realized his mistake too late.
Kaelith laughed. "You are now my domain, I can take my time beating the shit out of you now." He didn't need to point at the blood pool that those of them were standing in.
"Tch." Thayer was already feeling the effect; it interfering with the light magic he had ought. He must get out of this puddle of blood that spread half of the room, and there's only one way to do that. Run!
He took off, sloshing in the pool but then he suddenly dodged sideways a whip that cut like a blade sliced through where he was previously. His heart was beating like a small bird trapped in a cage; this is dangerous; how will this bastard attack?
He jumped just when blood spikes jutted out like the fangs of some monsters, then more whip blades rose, and all he could think about was move sideways, jump, crouched! He moved like a machine, bending this way and that.
"You are impressive, Thayer. But do you know how many times you'd be dead now if I want to?" Kaelith watched him dance between his attacks and wished he could kill him, but then he'd have nothing to bargain with.
"I'm getting tired of this!" Thayer pointed and sent his will into the blood pool. A giant's hand, made entirely of blood came out and caught Thayer, folding him into its fist. "Now then, let me clean up here and destroy that portal..."
He turned his back, took three steps, and then the blood around him erupted up to form a shield around him before the attack slammed into him.
Thayer Argent, already free from the giant's hand blood, was standing on a flat, compressed yellow light. Blades made of light surrounded him and seven spears hovered above his head. He smiled when he saw Kaelith's furious expression. "The reason I get the light magic is because it deals a lot of damage to your kinds."
Kaelith felt like the time of talking was over; when he spoke, the pool of blood spoke with, and then ripped passed from him until the whole pool was moving like waves from the sea. "Poison fog."
The blood pool heated up so fast that the steam rose into the air above it, surrounding Thayer in what should have filled his lungs and killed him. But the light magic saved him.
That made Thayer Argent rethink a lot of things. This man is now trying to kill him. And one thing came to him then, 'I have to leave this pool'
If someone like this wants to kill you, then it's easier in their zone, like the pool of blood. He began to run, his light magic shooting him forward that he was a blur of yellow and golden.
"It's too late. See the power of silver rank. Blood works!" Kaelith shouted.
