Global Awakening: Monster Taming Necromancer

Chapter 121: Multiply

Thayer smiled and his eyes shone. "I will gain favor from three Awakeners who will be one of the strongest here in this Tower."

Kaelith blinked. That wasn't what he was expecting, he thought he would say the Necromancer and his team has joined his guild or he's doing this for sense of loyalty or shit. So this is the mind of those who cimb the Tower's power with not their own strength.

He hated it that some are considered powerful just because they are one of the richest. But this boy before him have the money and the power. He's going to be dangerous. 'Should I just kill him? But his father, he'll turn the whole Tower against me and not even the Cult will help'

He laughed. "So that's how it is, you are investing on their potential. The same thing that want me to make them into my sacrifice."

Thayer smiled. "Seems we are on the same page, we have eyes to see those who shine but your sight is still limited. If you see far then won't be here, in this party while you left your hostage behind."

Kaelith accepted that. "It was foolish of me. I know you are helping them but not to this extent. But don't you think you have underestimated me?"

"How? You will be in this shield till I let you go and they will be long gone then."

Kaelith looked at him with amusement. "Then what if I just kill you here and now?' His was mild, as if he was considering it.

Thayer laughed. "But you can't! Not in front of all this witness. You'll be torn to shreds by those who want to curry favor with the Argent and the cult's enemy will use my father's anger and influence to attack your cult. You might escape here tonight but you'll be found eventually. My death won't benefit you tonight, Kaelith.

Unless you truly have no card to play."

The Blood Necromancer smiled tightly behind his mask. "Ahhaha. You have really cornered me, but do you really think your people will be able to save her and get out of there alive? You are not so naive are you."

He narrowed his eyes. "What did you do."

"Let's say I left a surprise behind," Just then Kaelith flinched. "I see, so Kaidos is dead. Then it won't be long now. Enjoy this sense of victory for yourself now because it won't last long."

Thayer watched him break the shield and turned, leaving him confused, he frowned deeply. "You'll be able to counter any trap, won't you guys?"

With Jael supporting Litha they made it to the door with Temur before they felt it. An aura that brushed against their senses and made them flinched. "What is it again?" Jael growled.

They turned and then saw Kaidos body twitching, his stomach swell and his skin squirmed as if something was moving beneath.

"You killed him right." Litha said.

"Yes, he's dead for sure." Temur said flatly, there was no doubt about that. But what's happening?

"Don't tell me he can come back to life!" Jael shouted. There's nothing worse than an opponent with a powerful regeneration power, not to talk of coming back to life.

Kaidos stomach busted and blood erupted upward, followed by the largest worm they had ever seen. The worm turned in their direction and hissed then burrowed into Kaidos flesh once more, slurping on liquefied flesh.

A wave of disgust washed over them. Jael grimaced. "That looks like one the blood worms that Kaelith uses but what's it doing in that guy's stomach?"

Litha grimaced. "I think Kaidos might just be a source of food right now. If this is something left behind by Kaelith then we have to exterminate it before it does whatever it's planing."

"I'll do it." Temur said.

But Jael won't hear it, he helped Litha to the ground and walked towards the body. "Let see, Onus." He felt power flowed into him and he spread his hand over the body then he pressed down, hard.

The air above the body shuddered but just before his force slam into the body shot out and jerked back to avoid what came at him. It was a hand, black and shell like but with long claws and jutting black spines in the joints.

Jael moved back even more then he watched the whole body exploded, splattering chunk of meat into the air. "This is different from what I'm expecting."

A monster crouched in front of him and the first thing Jael thought of was that the monster looks like a cockroache but in the form of a man. Black shining shell with a flat head and even two wings.

The monster shook the wings and it rang like metal rubbing again metal.

"Let's see if how to kill insects is still the same, stomping them hard!" Jael shouted and then he brought his hand down. His force came down with all the weight of a charging bull.

It slammed into the monster and they heard a sharp crack as the monster was squashed. "Ahah! I was afraid for a while there but seems you are not that strong! Come on guys, let's get out of here."

He turned back and watched the other nodded in agreement then suddenly they froze and stiffened. Jael heard a sound behind him that made him hesitate then he looked back.

He saw two worms on the body of the one he just killed and before he knew it, two monsters are standing in front of him. They look exactly and like the one he just killed. "Shit, did they just multiple? What type of magic is this."

He shuddered, they don't look strong but they are able to multiple, is that it, the trap that Kaelith left behind? "I've said it countless times but I really hate cockroaches!"

He thrust his right hand out and then bang! He sent his force out and the two monsters were sent flying, crushed against the wall with a pop!
