Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 141: Steamrolling The Gauntlet

Armed with a full set of bronze-tier armor and a bronze-tier katana as a weapon, Allen took his time as he slowly circled Siegfried, looking for any small openings he could exploit.

As for Siegfried, he stood still, calmly observing Allen's movements, hoping that this underdog could give him a good fight.

'As expected, these guys are underestimating us…' Allen inwardly thought as he prepared to go all out.

Siegfried was starting to get bored so he purposely showed Allen an opening which Allen immediately took advantage of by instantly activating three buff skills, [Enhanced Agility Lv.2], [Enhanced Strength Lv.2], and [Enhanced Dexterity Lv.2], fully showing his prowess as a representative.

He then immediately used the common warrior combo [Dash Lv.2] + [Power Slash Lv.2] to instantly close the gap between him and his opponent.

"Tch, even Noah or Jean can easily defeat this guy…" Siegfried clicked his tongue in regret as he easily avoided the combo by simply moving his shoulders and leaning to the side.

He wanted to have a nice fight but it seemed like the academies fighting for a spot in the knockout stages were too weak. Thus, he decided to simply end the match as quickly as possible and move on to the knockout stages.

"Oh no!"

With a fully extended wide swing, Allen was wide open and to make things worse, Siegfried was in a prime position to punish his mistake.

As if simply swatting a fly, Siegfried used the pommel of his sword to gracefully strike Allen's neck, knocking him out cold as his body limped to the ground making him fall face first towards the cold-hard ground of mini arena 1.

The curious audience who came to watch their match out of curiosity due to their earlier staredown with the Eusford Academy representatives were stupefied by how easily he defeated his opponent.

They were so impressed that they went silent as they pondered whether this guy could carry the entire Colzen Academy on his back until they made it to the top 32 matches in the knockout stages, automatically assuming that he was the strongest student in the group.

However, just after Siegfried jumped down from the stage, Shye immediately jumped up, not even giving the other representatives any chance to argue.

Heck, even Siegfried was surprised, he didn't think that Shye would be interested in such low-level opponents so all of them couldn't understand why he decided to participate.

In the end, Siegfried simply thought that Shye's passion was ignited by his display of skills, making him feel proud to be recognized by the legend as a rival.

Unbeknownst to Siegfried, his thoughts couldn't be farther from the truth.

Shye was simply running low on points so he decided to participate in every battle he could to replenish his stock of emergency points just in case he needed to use them in the matches against the top-tier academies.

"Emerson Grayfield, fourth-year scout student from Aritha Academy!"

"Shye Crowley, fourth-year warrior student from Colzen Academy."

"Begin!"

*PAH*

Under the dumbstruck faces of what small audience they had, Shye simply moved way faster than the scout student, disappearing and reappearing behind Emerson, easily knocking him out with a blunt blow to the back of his neck.

[Congratulations! You've earned 620 points!]

Before the audience could even react, Shye already jumped down the stage with a slightly disappointed look on his face.

'Tch…You mean only 620 people were watching? Well, points are points…I should be glad I earned some. Yes, 620 points are almost equivalent to three kobold militias! I shouldn't expect more from such an easy fight…'

Shye consoled himself as he sat back down inside the academy station, feeling slightly better.

Although only a small part, the audience who watched their matches was starting to acknowledge their strength.

After two matches ending in a single blow, those who were watching would surely deduce something.

According to the estimates of the 620 people who watched, the current Colzen had the capability to at least achieve a top 64 finish, making some of them who shouted mockeries shut their mouths for good.

Still, two people carrying an entire academy to the championship stage was nigh impossible so it was still too early for them to decide if they should consider Colzen Academy as a dark horse.

Thus, they decided to closely watch the remaining matches of Colzen Academy.

Who knows? Maybe they could become rich by betting on Colzen Academy's victory until the odds correct themselves.

As of now, only a few of them knew how strong Colzen was and most of them were thinking of the same thing: bet on Colzen Academy in the knockout stages without letting too many people know about their true strength.

Instantly, the haters turned into fans, looking at the Colzen representatives like a bunch of golden geese.

Now, if the other representatives could at least show half the level of skill of the first two representatives, then they would be willing to bet a sizable part of their fortune for a chance to make it big.

As the former haters now fans waited for the next match while breathing heavily, the next two representatives who walked out from the Colzen Academy station, made their brows furrow, seemingly confused about the weird decision to send a priestess and a mage in the two on two battle.

Unbeknownst to them, Colzen only wanted Wendy to experience a match so they sent her to fight while the ultimate loverboy, David Houdini, simply refused to allow anyone else except himself to team up with Wendy, hence, the weird duo of mage and priestess stepped up to fight for Colzen Academy in the two-on-two match.

'Nice, if the opponents are these two then our duo of scout students could probably win! Easily at that!' Aritha Academy's dean inwardly thought, feeling good about the next match-up.

Scouts were considered as a hard match-up if one is a mage or a priest so it was understandable why the dean thought this way.

Unfortunately, his hopes and dreams were crushed as an enormous barrier suddenly appeared and enveloped the two, protecting Wendy and David from the scout students' [Blink Strike Lv.2].

Then, before the scout students could even react, an enormous fireball appeared from David's elemental staff, blowing the two scout course students out of the arena as a burnt smell permeated the air.

Thus, with an easy 3-0 win, Colzen Academy advanced to the next round. If they can win the next match, then they will qualify for the knockout stages.

Meanwhile, the audience who were watching the match was on cloud nine. Forget the top 64, they were sure that this lineup could make it to the top 32!

"Crap…Did you see that? We're definitely going to be rich if we vote all our fortune on Colzen Academy!"
