Chapter 81 Closed Eye
Bam. Bam. Bam.
The massive cleaver came down quickly on the shield, trying to break through the flawless defense, but Geir had no trouble withstanding each attack.
"Hey... Big guy, where did you get so much strength? Don't you need any rest at all?" Geir muttered with a slight smile as he blocked another attack.
After Geir knocked Turgan down, the Orc Leader went into a real rage, he realized that if he didn't get rid of Geir, there was no way he could win.
'Zayne and Roland are fighting their opponent...' Geir inwardly muttered, 'Honestly, my strength is slowly running out, I need a rest, but this Orc is absolutely unstoppable. He's just a wild beast!''
"RAKA!!!" Turgan exclaimed furiously, the symbols on his shoulders lit up in red flames, and he brought his cleaver down on Geir with all his might.
Tremble.
A shockwave went off from the impact as a powerful recoil went through Geir's entire body, causing his arms to go slightly numb.
"Damn, that was strong." Geir said with a light sigh, then his eyes went wide, "What the hell...?"
A splinter from his shield fell away, Geir couldn't believe it, his shield had never broken before, not even partially. Then, a shiver ran through his body, since just as the shard fell to the ground, a massive red fist rushed toward him.
"No!" Geir exclaimed, trying to defend himself, but Turgan's fist had already slammed into his stomach, crumpling his bulky armor.
"ARGH!!!" Geir's mouth opened wide in pain as blood rushed out.
Whoooooooooooooosh.
At the same moment, Turgan swung his cleaver once more. Geir's pupils narrowed as he managed to block at the last moment, but the shockwave tossed him aside, making him roll over the ground.
"Rafafafafa!" Turgan smirked, stepping forward confidently with a menacing stare that could frighten anyone.
"Bastard... That shield was picked up for me by Liza..." Geir frowned, looking at his damaged shield, "Well... Looks like today is the last day I'll use it... so no point in holding back, right?"
Geir rose to his feet and took the shield in one hand, though he had used two before.
'Though I didn't want to take a shield with sharp edges, it's not my style at all, but it looks like I could benefit from it now, right? Liza, you always think ahead.' Geir pondered as he glanced at the edge of his shield, where a dangerous glint passed over it.
...
"What shall we do?" Zayne asked looking at Hand Phantom who had already opened his eye, "Apparently its ability has limits and recharge."
"That's a stupid question! Will slash and attack until not even a speck of this thing is left!" Roland spoke confidently before rushing forward.
Whooooooooooooosh.
Roland's ferocious sword wind, ripped Hand Phantom into several pieces, however, it effortlessly recovered and stared at Roland again.
The jaw-hands headed towards him, but Roland was not afraid at all, on the contrary, he had a confident smirk on his face since it was part of his plan.
Zayne appeared in front of Roland, with a smooth swing of his sword cutting the jaw-hands into pieces.
'Great, now we can attack it without harm.' Roland smirked, preparing to attack, but as he clutched the hilt of his sword his eyes went wide with shock.
"What!? Why doesn't its eye close?!" Roland exclaimed in disbelief.
"This time it didn't start looking at me, this monster seems to understand that it doesn't work on me and tries to save his powers. I have to admit that we're up against a pretty clever opponent." Zayne muttered with a serious expression, "However, we still need to get rid of its eye somehow."
Roland's head snapped up sharply, coming to his senses quickly, and a glint came to his eyes. He lunged forward, one hand holding his sword, the other raised as if to give an order.
Whooooooooooooosh.
The jaw-hands pounced on him, but this time Roland didn't back down as he put up blocks and let the creepy jaws chew on his sword.
"Bastards, you think we're your only opponents, don't you? You are sorely mistaken!" Roland smirked with a glance to the side.
At the same moment, a long, crystal arrow pierced the eye of the Hand Phantom and exploded with bright light, completely blinding the monster.
"Elin, good work!" Roland exclaimed in excitement as he rushed forward with a smooth swing, slicing the hand-jaw apart.
The wind around his sword gradually grew faster and sharper, turning into a kind of whirlwind that descended on the Hand Phantom, tearing it into dozens of shreds.
"Hmm...? Wasn't that enough?" Zayne muttered, looking at the parts of the Hand-Phantom that were trying to become one.
"No... We definitely got it right this time. Maybe it's invulnerable to physical attacks, but my wind is magic, and without its eye, it can't recover." Roland said confidently, watching the blue hands gradually disappear.
Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.

"Commander, it looks like it's your time to receive your reward." Zayne said with a slight smile while looking at the Treasure Box.
"Agh...? Are you sure? If you hadn't saved me, I wouldn't have been able to kill it..." Roland muttered, hesitantly.
"Well, I already got my little reward and I don't have time for this. I must help my mate." Zayne replied, tearing sharply toward Geir and leaving Roland no other choice.
'Hah... Well... In that case, I must hurry, right? The situation is unusual, but I must admit that I'm really worried...' Roland inwardly sighed with a sparkle in his eyes, looking at the Treasure Box.
[You've used your Status Points!]
[Agility: 14 -> 17]
Whoooooooooosh.
Zayne without hesitation, attacked Turgan, who all tried to break through Geir's defense. Zayne's sword went through Turgan's knee in a scarlet flash, slicing through his tendons.
"ARGHHHH!!!" Tugran roared in pain, as his yell echoed through the hall, causing everyone to shiver slightly at the agony he was suffering.
"That's not all!" Geir exclaimed, bringing his massive shield down on Turgan's chest with a sharp edge, thrusting it deep.
A stream of blood erupted from Turgan's mouth as the crimson sword rushed toward him. Zayne, with a cold stare, aimed his sword directly at Turgan's neck, intent on ending this fight with his next move.
"RAFO!" Turgan shrieked, swung his cleaver in panic, blocking Zayne's attack, and ran back a few yards, standing at the stone pillar.
"Zayne! Have you defeated your opponent yet?" Geir asked with joy.
"Yeah." Zayne nodded as a slight smile appeared on his face, "Commander Roland will still be busy for a while, but I think two of us will be more than enough, don't you? Although... There are three of us."
Geir grinned broadly, preparing for the final act. During the fight with Turgan, he had managed to get a few wounds as his entire body was covered in bruises, but that was more than normal for him.
Crackle.
Rea tossed aside the empty vial and walked over to Elin, who was ready to fire a shot at any moment.
