With his shield up, Choo Qin boredly activated his taunting skill once more.

Emerald’s eyes grew sharper as she fought, yet within that sharpness, a touch of bewilderment began to emerge.

She was convinced that it wasn’t the shield that was indestructible, but rather that her arrows lacked strength.

If only she had the legendary Nine Star Pearl, she could surely defeat Choo Qin in an instant!

“Keep it going, keep it going.”

After another barrage, Emerald finally ceased her assault. As she attacked, the Wind Dragon also made a fierce attempt to strike, but to no avail.

“Hmph! I refuse to believe you’ll hide behind your shield forever, you despicable human, you lowly creature!”

Emerald spoke more than she ever had before. Even though in the Elf Clan, cursing was seen as the most impotent of acts, she couldn’t resist the urge to scorn this human’s shamelessness.

Emerald felt a growing frustration. This ‘turtle shell’ was excessively tough. She wondered how Choo Qin had managed to cultivate such a formidable defense. It appeared she wouldn’t be able to fulfill the task her mentor had assigned her this time.

“Are you certain that you could kill me if I stepped out?”

Choo Qin’s lips twisted into a smirk. This elf was overly confident.

He hadn’t even resorted to using a Small Spell, and she couldn’t handle the most elementary Mage Shield. Where did her confidence come from?

“I’m not boasting, but if I wanted to, I could take you down in a matter of minutes.”

“However, I, Choo Qin, have never been one to engage in combat with women. Even though you’re an elf, in my view, anyone who can be slapped is deemed a woman.”

Choo Qin glanced at the emerald with a playful smirk, loosening his wrist. It seemed he had mastered most of the skills already, and there was no fun in waiting any longer.

“Enough of this. The Red Devil outside is probably watching us now, isn’t he?”

“I’m not sure what beef you have with Brother Cheng, but don’t drag me into it. Do you really think you’re tough just because you’ve dyed your hair?”

“This is a fight to the death. I won’t kill her, but if anyone else dares to provoke me again, I won’t show any mercy!”

With those words, Choo Qin instantly dispelled all of his Mage Shields.

The emerald was taken aback by Choo Qin’s abrupt move. Didn’t he realize that without his shield, he would be doomed?

But in the next instant, Choo Qin’s hand held a fiery red bow, one formed from the Fire Element.

“What’s he up to? Could he also be a master archer?”

Choo Qin closed his eyes and mimicked drawing a bow. To the emerald’s astonishment, he conjured nine arrows.

“This… What is this?” The emerald was incredulous, recognizing the stance as identical to his own.

“Yeah, this technique is called the Nine Star Pearl, though I’m not sure about the ‘Nine Star’ part.”

Choo Qin, noticing the emerald’s daze, kindly offered an explanation.

The nine fire arrows were swiftly drawn and transformed into eighty-one arrows in the sky! With the blazing red flames, they were a hundred times more powerful than the Seven Star Pearl!
