Chapter 379 - 379 Before Alex Briggs, I was!
379 Before Alex Briggs, I was!
Rimuru Tempest!
The golden figure held its blade tightly and slashed down, it seemed like the world split while the sword light from the attack was like a ferocious storm eager to displace and dismember everything on its path.
Hmph!
The deity seemed disgusted by Little Alex’s attempt to get rid of it. Only angel realm beings can be defeated easily since gods descend and restrain one’s power. The stronger a deity is, the stronger the power it can manifest during God’s descent. Right now his strength is not something any mere mortal can dream to challenge!
He made a single-hand seal and his body revealed a golden light.
Divinity core: Wings embrace.
A mighty golden energy version of his wings which wrapped around him like a piece of a mother’s embrace, shielding him from everything directed his way.
Bang!
The deity frowned as a web-like crack spread across the surface of the shield, creating powerful shockwaves that sent shivers down the spine of everyone watching.
.....
Within the storm was a golden figure with blood-red eyes yet glowing silver symbols. The sources of each power he used are so different from the others even the deity was confused. How can one have more than one core ability?
“What the hell are you?” the deity couldn’t help but ask.
“The first son of the absolute! Don’t worry, the one who will kill you over there is my father!” Little Alex said coldly as a fierce heart beating sound could be heard as he threw a fist forward.
Demon-kin secret technique: Kill!
Boom!
The golden energy wings shattered and a bloody hole could be seen on the chest of the angelic being. It gazed at Little Alex with shock in its eyes while the other dirty of lowered realms who saw this were instantly stunned and discouraged.
The strength of these humans surpassed theirs even before they became gods. If these mortals become gods, one thing is certain, even they will find it hard to deal with them.
.....
Danny Ainsworth stood with a cold look on his face but all this was hidden within the mask. Before he stood a seven feet tall figure with an indifferent look on his face. The being seemed proud and didn’t necessarily see Danny as his opponent instead he saw a child trying to prove his strength to his father just for the sake of recognition.
“I am Dandian, God of sword and the leader of the Paragon faction…. A God at the principality realm… not even your leader would be able to win against me in the other world, talk less of his minions” Dandian God said with an indifferent look on his face.
His indifferent gaze pinned on Danny was one of contempt and disgust. In his opinion, Alex and his crew were just a bunch of clowns trying to replicate the achievements of the black flame emperor, a deity at the level of the Dominion who grew so fast in a space of a century, the entire world of gods was stunned.
Yet, even a talent and genius like him was killed off.
Talk less of these failed imitations!
“Imitations? That’s a strong word to use” Danny’s calm voice broke the silence and a cold bead of sweat ran through the face of the deity
How could he tell what he was thinking?
Can he read minds?
Impossible! A mortal should not be able to peer into the mind of God!
“A mortal shouldn’t be able to do that, yet here I am raring your mind like an open book… tell me how do you explain this?” Danny asked as his eyes revealed a terrifying glow. All those who witnessed this frowned at the thought of it but that was all they could do.
Dandian God seemed disturbed by his words especially since these words were true.
“Before you all became gods you were once a man. You seem to forget this is all just another evolutionary process of man. Man can become God therefore man can fight God because man is God… as soon as these mortals understand this concept, they will never be subdued by fake deities like yourself” Danny’s eyes shone with murderous lights.
Buzzz!
His words were like a mountain falling upon this deity causing him to frown slightly.
The Dandian God was in the body of a human dressed in a white robe. At this point when he began having doubts about himself just by listening to Danny Ainsworth, he realized if he continued this discussion he may never stand on his feet.
SWOOSH!
His figure vanished and reappeared ahead of Danny with his blade raised.
Divinity core: Sword god!
Rendan!
His slashed vertically tearing a hole in the void and space, shattering everything in its path while it raced towards its target!
Hmph!
Danny’s eyes flashed with disdain as he threw an open palm forward.
Bang!
The deity frowned as he watched his attack vanish as if it just never existed. He watched Danny adjust his gloves as he casually walked forward in space as if he was stepping on solid ground.
“Silver Ainsworth was known for his brains…. Alex Briggs was known for his strength… do you know why I am the only member of our family outside these two that has survived? Do you think someone weak and incompetent would be able to live this long and not get overshadowed by the two? Hahahahahahahahaha! Before Alex Briggs I was, after Alex Briggs, I am… in my opinion, a mortal who has achieved immortality during his mortal days is far greater than a god of any sort… if you doubt me, come at me, let me show you what true strength looks like” Danny said with a tone void of emotions.
This made people wonder, what kind of face was hiding behind that mask.
The Dandian God frowned and didn’t know how to respond to the words of this human. Although the logic was slightly correct, all that is needed to back it up is strength.
From the looks of it, this human has the strength to back up his words…
