DEVIANT

Chapter 31

Chapter 31: Fame!

Alex sighed as he lay on his bed without bothering to check on Silver or anyone. The battle was fought by him and during the short one-sided display of strength, he soon realized his flaws and weaknesses when using his new ability. He kept pondering on ways to improve his strength and fell asleep, not aware of the ragging war on the internet.

Silver had used an anonymous and untraceable account to upload Alex’s encounter with the fresher members of the Tyrant gang. Since no one has ever spoken up against the tyrant gang, many kept quiet and suffered in silence but when someone suddenly appeared out of nowhere and uploaded a video of a mysterious man beating the crap out of three members of the tyrant gang, the internet exploded and in just one night it had over a million views!

Watching the video over and over again, many people wondered what was more impressive about the masked hero. Is it his unique special ability which can be many people are still unable to figure out what it is or his brutal nature!

Watching him break the arms of the members of the tyrant gang brought some sort of joy to all those who watched and many of them gave him the nickname, scourge!

People decided to use such a name since they strongly believed only a greater evil can face the well established tyrant gang!

The next morning, Alex woke up, only to see Silver standing on his bed with a tab, showcasing an uploaded video with over three million views.

Instantly a thought struck him and he slapped his face and laid back down again, not wanting to bother himself with Silver.

.....

“Why the hell would you even consider posting it online?” Alex asked while walking down the stairs in his nightwear and Alex chased after him.

Even if his identity is hidden, he didn’t fight those three just to entertain the general public.

“Don’t be stupid! Do you think doing a little vigilante work at night will stop them? You obviously wish to stop the tyrant group from operating in this academy so this is the best way... As long as people realize that there is someone fighting for them, they are more inclined to fight back” Silver said.

Alex ignored him and took a cup of coffee from the hands of a maid, walking down to the living room in silence while Silver chased after him.

“Come on man, don’t tell me you are really mad about this?” Silver asked and Alex frowned in response.

As cocky as Alex may look he is not dumb. He won the previous fight because they are going against fresher’s who have zero fighting experience, unlike him. Should members of the tyrant gang from higher levels in the academy should get involved, he may not be able to deal with them.

“Unwanted attention... Expectations... Loss of the only advantage I had over them... Of course, I am pissed! You just made my work harder for me” Alex complained as he took a seat in the dining room and watched Silver pull out a seat beside him.

“Before you go about screaming about what you lost do not forget the implications of this move... You are unknown, your strength, unknown, your capabilities unknown, your location and identity also remain unknown... The enemy knows nothing and knowing a hero ready to stand against them has arrived they will be more likely to hesitate before taking action from now on. Also, people like your fat friend who has lost the will to fight will know there is someone out there fighting for them... Knowing they are not alone, simply means there is a high chance that those bullied will probably be more willing to fight back now... You are their hope” Silver said.

Hearing this Alex frowned. As much as he wanted to scold Silver, he couldn’t deny Silver is right. He was about to speak but then the massive doors of the dining hall yanked open and five people walked in. They were members of the god sect and Tristan of the Walker family.

They walked in with frowns on their faces as they gazed at Alex and Silver sitting next to each other on the extremely large dining table.

“Of recent both of you have been spending a lot of time together... Is this an alliance we are unaware of?” Zero asked as he approached.

The others frowned at his words, including Alex and Silver. An alliance between families in the big four will always lead to conflict and chaos. That’s why the Briggs and the Ainsworth family have always tried to keep their cooperation a secret.

“An alliance? No... The only thing I can say is that, unlike you guys, Alex and I refuse to be used by our families without knowing what we are risking our lives for” Silver was quick-witted enough to come up with an excuse so fast it felt natural.

Hearing this Tristan and members of the god set stopped and pondered on those words for a while before taking a seat.

“Go on” Tristan said.

“Apparently, a few years ago, the world witnessed the arrival of a UFO into our world... They call it a Bazza or rather it calls itself a member of the Bazza race... I do not know the details but all I can say is that whatever they have installed for us involves the world... We are in for something too dangerous without even knowing what we are planning to do” Silver said with a frown on his face.

He tried to find more information through the government but this is just how far he could get. He knew this was only thing surface information, making him wonder how deep all of this is.

“I refused to be a tool” Alex said those words so naturally, making it seem as if he too is aware of this.

The big four might be powerful but if it involves other countries, there are groups on par with them! They are only the absolute in the united states!
