Chapter 89 A Lot Of Questions.

He said, "So you are female? You don't look like one. You don't look like anything. And what's this about you being created by Icon? Did you know that Icon is still alive? Where is?

Are you hiding him somewhere? Am I standing on you right now? Can you feel everyone walking all over you? How does that even work? What does it..."

Wrath had to interrupt him. "Will you calm down, please? One question at a time."

"Let me start from the top. I am indeed female. But that's only because that's what humans think of me when they refer to this planet. As for me not looking like anything, that's just because this is not my true body. This is just a shadow of my body."

"And no, my true body is not the planet. I am just its spirit for now. I won't gain control of it until there is a god king. So I don't feel anything when people walk on the ground or fly through the air."

"My situation is pretty special because I shouldn't be alive yet. I should only come into existence as a titan after a god king has been crowned. But Icon gave up his divine spark to give me life."

"He did so to make sure that the next paragons must kill Raijin before they can become god kings. He also did it so that no one entity will be able to have total control of the destiny of Earth-11. We will share that power when you become god king."

Kelvin ground his teeth. Then he said, "I am beginning to see why so many people hated Icon. His former fans hated him. His former friends tried to kill him. Even the god kings of the other earths don't like him. I didn't care about him in the past.

I just thought he was stupid and naive. But now I hate him."

Wrath said to him, "Calm down. Don't be cross about a power that you might never gain. Who knows? You might just die."

But he didn't calm down. He continued to rant, "They asked him to give up his divine spark to save earth, but he didn't. But it turned out that he is willing to give it up to screw me over."

Wrath explained, "Don't be like that. It wasn't anything personal. He gave me life because he had been pushed up against a wall. His family had been murdered, so he had very little to live for. He was willing to die at that time to make sure that Raijin would be killed. He didn't even plan to live, but he survived the process."

Kelvin nodded. "It is good that the bastard is still alive. It means that I can kill him. Where is he?"

Wrath sighed and replied, "He is not on earth anymore. He left through an incursion."

Kelvin scoffed. "That would explain why he isn't dead by now. I'm sure I am not the only one who has it out for that troublemaker."

Wrath laughed. "You are right about that. But what he did is not completely bad. If he hadn't given me life, a demigod would have captured the ring of Paragon many years ago and became the god king. I wouldn't have found you, and it wouldn't be your turn to bitch about losing half of your power. Half bread is better than nothing, right?"

Kelvin finally calmed down. He stopped frowning, and the tone of his voice returned to normal.

He said, "Fine. But I am still going to kill that guy. He is too dangerous and meddlesome. He is two-faced. He wanted a paragon wicked enough to kill one of the greatest heroes of our time, but he doesn't want the kind of paragon to gain control of earth. I can imagine that he will interfere in the future.

Besides, I like his ability. I think I should take it for myself."

Wrath could see that he wasn't going to change his mind about that, so she didn't bother. Not that she cared if Icon lived or died. What she cared about was her relationship with her current paragon.

So she tried to placate him. "Don't worry about me. I am your true partner. Actually, I won't weaken you. I will make you stronger. Two good heads are better than one.

It will only come at the small cost of basic human rights for the inhabitants of Earth-11."

Kelvin was silent as he considered her words. Wrath saw that he was contemplating what she said, so she struck while the iron was hot.

"You can still kill anyone, but no mass murder unless warranted. I will also be bound by you as our influence goes both ways."

Kelvin scoffed. "I don't like talking to you now that I know that this is not your true body. Where are you? Why don't you show yourself to me?"

Wrath replied, "I am with you. After all, I am the ring. You won't be able to see my true body until you trust me wholeheartedly."

Kelvin shook his head and said, "Continue with what you were saying."

But Wrath didn't continue. She shifted the conversation to something she preferred. "We are meant to empower each other. If you trust me, for instance, you will be able to see more than my true body. I will be able to interact with the world with my shadow, and you will be able to use some of my abilities."Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"My shadow will gain the tangibility of your physical body, and you will gain the stealth and eyesight of my shadow body. You will also be able to put items in the space in the ring and we will be able to speak directly into each other's mind."

Kelvin didn't take the bait. He couldn't take the bait because he couldn't trust Wrath unconditionally. At least not yet.

The fact that he met someone in the tower of destiny who claimed to be a god doesn't mean that they are a god. Even if they truly are a god, what they said might not be the truth.
