Chapter 88 Preparation For The Game.
Kelvin didn't see Hermes leave. The boy was there one moment, and the next he was not. He didn't feel that it was strange. After all, the boy was supposed to be a god. He hadn't seen Hermes arrive, so it was not surprising that he couldn't see him leave.
Besides, he had other things on his mind to worry about. He had received a lot of information about things he didn't even know were possible.
He wondered to himself, "A planet can be given life? Wait a minute. So a planet has a consciousness that can be given life? Does hat mean I am standing on her body?"
It was a concept that was a little difficult for him to wrap his mind around.
Eventually he sighed and said, "An artifact can have a spirit. What's one more planet to the list of non-living things that are sentient?"
Besides, it was the least of his concerns right now. Apparently, Icon was still alive somewhere and Wrath would reduce the amount of authority he would have as a god king.
He doesn't know the full implications of the two things so he would like to return to have a serious conversation with his so-called partner. But he can't leave yet since he has to sort out the preparation for his advancement game. Apparently, he couldn't delay it.
The tower of destiny went ahead with enlisting him for advancement. It added his name to the list of individuals who had decided to advance and then grouped them into different games.
Then it sent him the information about his advancement game and a list of every participant that will take part in the game.
Destiny Game 10
-Title: Cat and Mice
-Objective: Survive or Hunt.
-Description: 100 participants will be dropped into a forest teeming with strong beasts. All they need to do is survive the pursuit of these beasts and encounters with other participants. You can run, hide, or fight. It all depends on if you are a cat or a mouse.
-Rule 1: The game will start after the moderator gives the go-ahead.
-Rule 2: The game will end after one hour.
-Rule 3: Only those who survive till the end of the game or acquire 3 kills, be they humans or beasts, will pass the game.
-Rule 4: Every participant can use any method to complete the objective.
-Rule 5: Game weapons and artifacts can be used.
One main difference between the amateur and professional leagues is that information about the game will be provided one month in advance for the participants.
They will know what kind of game they are to play, the challenges they will face in it, and even the other participants that will play the game with them. This way they will be able to prepare.
This preparation is very important because killing has become one of the available objectives. The participants are encouraged to kill each other now instead of just hitting each other with balls in a game of dodgeball.
The other major difference is the introduction of moderators. They can be one or more. Their job is to serve as commentators and referees.
The moderators also have the right to select the best player for the game, which is an important achievement that will double the amount of game points earned in a game.
The best player achievement can also be given to a player that didn't meet any of the objectives of a game but entertained the audience and moderators. That way it will be counted as them passing the game. So it is kind of a hidden objective.
Now that he has been grouped, he can check out the previous games of his soon-to-be opponents, their current power level, and prepare for them. They can also check his previous games, his current power level, and prepare for him.
He said, "This is what it means to be a pro. I should get to work on my research, but I need to have a word with Wrath first."
He could finally leave, so he took the opportunity immediately. He reappeared on his couch next to Wrath. He had a lot to say, but Wrath was the first one to speak.
She said, "I sensed the arrival of a god. Seeing as it is time for your advancement game, I am guessing that it was Hermes. Did he give you any trouble? I doubt that. Hermes is cool and fun."

Kelvin frowned. He said, "Did you know that because you are the Will of this planet?"
Wrath shook her head. "No. I saw him. I bet all the demigods saw him too. He wasn't really hiding himself."
Then she sighed and said, "I wish he would hide his tracks, but he won't. There is only one reason why he comes here. Which means all of them will know that I have selected a new paragon and that you are about to reach the professional league."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Kelvin frowned. He didn't like the way Wrath was calm about all of these. It will look like he is overreacting or throwing a tantrum if he makes a big deal out of these. But he wasn't going to let that stop him.
He asked while frowning, "Why didn't you tell me?"
She shrugged, "You wouldn't have believed me."
He wasn't having any of that. His eyes became steely and his voice became cold as he said, "That didn't give you the right to lie to me."
"I didn't lie to you, though. I haven't ever lied to you. I am truly the spirit of the ring of paragon, and I want freedom from you. I just didn't tell you everything."
Then she went on the offensive. "You did even believe the little I told you. You were never going to believe me, so why should I bother?"
Kelvin calmed down a bit. But it was only a bit. He still had a lot of issues he had problems with. They were many and he couldn't wait to start listing them.
