Building A Business Empire From Scratch In Another World

Chapter 35: 35 : Grand Opening

[ Ding: Host, you have been given a newbie protection period of one month ].

Felix was stunned and rooted to the spot when he heard the sudden system notification.

Seeing Felix suddenly stop with a surprised expression on his face, the others were puzzled.

"Are you okay, big bro?" Trinity asked.

Felix came back to his senses, "Yeah, I'm okay. I just remembered something."

Felix waved his hand, "Okay, let's go and open the restaurant."

The others nodded and quickly followed Felix out of the office as they got onto the wooden elevator and headed down to the first floor.

As the wooden elevator descended to the first floor, Felix was conversing with the system in his mind.

"System, what was that notification about?" Felix transmitted his voice.

[ Well, Host, the system is giving you a one-month newbie protection period. That means the system will protect the restaurant for a period of one month ] the system explained.

Felix nodded in understanding.

"So that means if anyone causes trouble in the restaurant, you will protect the restaurant?" Felix asked.

"Yes and no," the system said vaguely.

"What do you mean?" Felix was confused.

[ Listen, Host, what I mean by the system will protect the restaurant is that the system will only take action when someone powerful is attacking the restaurant. As for small problems like customer complaints, pressure and challenges from competitors and other minor issues, the Host will have to take care of that on his own ] the system explained.

Felix finally came to a realization. What the system means is that it will only protect the restaurant when someone powerful with ill intentions towards the restaurant attacks or does something that would harm the restaurant in any way.

Felix nodded in understanding. He knew he currently doesn't have the strength and manpower to protect the restaurant if someone he can't take on comes to cause trouble or from some prying and covetous individuals.

But the system saved him from such situation, with the system coming forward to protect the restaurant he was relieved.

While Chef Gideon's identity may deter some potential threats, there is always a possibility of an attack. However, with the added protection of the system, he can put his heart to rest.

This is a world where the strong reign supreme, who knows if someone powerful might get jealous of his restaurant success and decide to attack the restaurant. If that were to happen, he wouldn't have a place to turn to cry. But with the system in place, he can rest assured.

" So system how can you protect the restaurant?" Felix asked curiously.

[ The Host will found out in the future ]the system said.

Felix nodded and didn't ask further.

[ And Host when the system said one month newbie protection, the system means the ingredients used to cook are included which means th system will be providing the ingredients for one month ] the system suddenly said.

" Wow system I didn't expect you to have some conscious " Felix was surprised.

He didn't expect the one month newbie protection period to have such a surprise. Previously he mulling over how to cover the ingredients and resources ot run the restaurant.

To be honest, he honestly don't have any money left, he used the last amount of money to buy various ingredients for today Grand Opening.

When the Chefs were getting familiar with the menu during the one month training, he bought all the ingredients for the training and the ingredients are expensive, he was almost poor again.

But now with the surprised the system have given him, he won't have to be worried about ingredients and resources to run the restaurant for at least a month.

[ But Host bear in mind that when the one month newbie protection period duration is over, you will have to procure the ingredients for yourself ] the system.

Felix nodded as long as the restaurant make enough money he can procure the ingredients himself.

Three minutes later, the wooden elevator reached the first floor, Felix got out of the wooden elevator followed by Trinity Gwendolyn Zephyr Brixton and Nixie as for Chef Gideon he have already headed back to the kitchen.

On the first floor, the staff of waiters had finished setting up the tables perfectly. All that was left was for the restaurant to open its doors and start welcoming customers.

"Alright, everyone gather around!" Felix called out, trying to get everyone's attention.

The staff quickly gathered in front of him, looking serious in their uniforms. Valets, front desk ladies, waiters, and waitresses were all present.

Felix looked around and nodded. "Today is the big day, folks. We're opening our doors to customers. I hope all the training you've had wasn't for nothing. Treat every customer with respect and equality. If you mess up, you're out.

I want everything to be perfect. Understood?"

"Yes, Boss!" the staff replied in unison, their expressions serious.

"If everything goes well, bonuses will be given to all of you," Felix said with a smile.

The staff were excited at the prospect of bonuses.

"Alright, everyone in your positions. It's time to open the restaurant!" Felix shouted with excitement in his voice.

The staff quickly took their places, their eyes filled with excitement.

"Let's open the door together, guys," Felix said, turning to Trinity, Zephyr, Brixton, Gwendolyn, and Nixie.

They smiled and followed Felix to the huge golden door. Standing in front of it, they each took a deep breath and slowly pushed it open.

--------------------

And right now outside the restaurant, a few people had already gathered, dressed in luxurious and elegant clothes. Some even seemed to emit powerful auras.

There was a buzz of excitement among the people as they chatted amongst themselves and occasionally glanced at the restaurant.

" For the past few days, I've been seeing posters of this restaurant posted around the city. I hope it lives up to what's stated in the poster," a man in his thirties wearing luxurious green clothes muttered to himself while looking at the restaurant.

The man is Kirk Moonfire a famous merchant in Bridgemoor City. He was slightly plump with a ruddy complexion and small eyes.

Whenever he squinted, his eyes would flash with a glint, giving him a shrewd temperament.

Look the door is opening!" Suddenly, a voice interrupted Kirk Moonfire's thoughts.

He quickly looked and saw the golden door of the restaurant slowly opening.

A few moments later, the door completely opened wide, and a few people in uniform quickly walked out and stood on both sides of the restaurant, looking serious.

A handsome man in a pristine white suit also walked out with a few people behind him and stood in front of the crowd.

This was.naturally Felix and the others.

Felix glanced at the crowd with a smile and bowed slightly, "Please, everyone, welcome: The Origin Restaurant is now open."

The crowd was stunned for a moment before walking to the entrance of the restaurant and started entering with expectation in their eyes, muttering to themselves.

Felix and Trinity, Zephyr, Brixton, Gwendolyn and Nixie greeted everyone who entered with a smile even Gwendolyn who usually have an expressionless face now have a subtle smile on her face.

Kirk Moonfire squinted his eyes and sized up Felix for a moment before making his way to the door of the restaurant.

"Welcome," Felix looked at Kirk Moonfire with a smile and greeted.

Kirk Moonfire returned the smile, nodded, and entered the restaurant. The moment he stepped inside, he was taken aback.

He didn't expect the interior of the restaurant to be so luxurious. He was impressed by the elegant decorations, which could be said to be the first of its kind in Bridgemoor City.

As he looked around, he noticed that some of the people who had arrived first were being guided by staff in unique and beautiful uniforms that he had never seen before. Some were already seated and placing their orders, while a few were being led to strange wooden platforms that were slowly rising.

"Welcome, Sir," a gentle voice suddenly spoke beside him. Kirk Moonfire turned to see a young woman standing in front of him, wearing the same beautiful uniform as the staff.

Kirk quickly snapped back to reality and nodded at the young woman with a smile. It was clear she was a front desk lady.

"Sir, would you like to sit on the first floor or head up to the second and third floors?" the front desk lady asked with a smile.

Curious, Kirk inquired, "Can you tell me the difference?"

The front desk lady explained, "Well, sir, both the second and third floors are more elegant than the first floor. The dishes there are more expensive, but they are even more delicious, especially on the third floor where all the dishes are 1 Star Dishes made by a 1 Star Spirit Chef."

Kirk's eyes widened in shock. "You mean the third floor dishes are made by a 1 Star Spirit Chef?"

"Yes," the front desk lady confirmed with a gentle smile. "Would you like to go to the third floor?"

Taking a deep breath, Kirk shook his head. "Let me try the dishes on the first floor first."

"Okay, sir," the front desk lady said, a hint of disappointment in her eyes. She then led Kirk to an empty table.

"You can sit here, sir. A waiter will be with you shortly to take your order," she said with a smile.

As Kirk settled into his seat, he couldn't help but ask, "What are those wooden platforms?"

"They're called elevators, sir," the front desk lady explained with a smile, detailing how they function.

Kirk Moonfire was completely taken aback by the wooden elevators' functions. "What a unique idea," he exclaimed.

"The boss came up with it," the front desk lady informed him.

"Then your boss must be a genius," Kirk said in admiration. The front desk lady just smiled and didn't respond.

"Sir, do you have any other questions?" she politely asked.

Kirk shook his head.

"Alright then, Sir. Feel free to look at the menu and decide on a dish. A waiter will be with you shortly," the front desk lady said with a smile as she walked away to attend to other customers.

Kirk nodded and opened the white menu with golden edges in front of him. As he glanced through it, he grew more and more surprised.

Some dishes were quite expensive, and he had never heard of or seen some of them before.

The cheapest dish was 2,000 Gold Coins, while the most expensive was 10,000 Gold Coins.

This was just the first floor, and he couldn't imagine the prices on the second and third floors. The wine was also pricey, with some options even more expensive than the dishes.

As Kirk Moonfire sat at his table, a waitress appeared with a friendly smile on her face. "Excuse me, sir, what would you like to order?" she asked politely.

Kirk glanced at the waitress and replied, "I'll have the Moss Egg & Beans Pudding, Roasted Pork Ribs, and a bottle of Rosewood Vintage, please."

The waitress listened carefully as Kirk placed his order and then asked, "Is that all, sir?"

"Yes, please," Kirk nodded.

"Okay, please wait a moment and your order will be ready shortly," the waitress said before hurrying off to the kitchen.

A few minutes later, the waitress returned with a trolley and skillfully arranged Kirk's dishes on the table. After she finished, she smiled and said, "Please enjoy your food, sir," before walking away.

Kirk looked at the delicious food in front of him with surprise and delight. He slowly opened the lids, and a sweet aroma filled the air. Taking a deep breath, he couldn't wait to dig in. As he took his first bite, his eyes widened in amazement. "Wow, this is delicious!" he exclaimed.

Meanwhile, outside the restaurant, people were still arriving in carriages. Valets opened doors for elegantly dressed individuals stepping out. Everything seemed to be in perfect harmony.

Suddenly, a large, luxurious carriage pulled by two Magical Beasts stopped in front of the restaurant. The Magical Beasts were two white horses with flickering lights under their hooves, adding to the grandeur of the scene.

A valet quickly opened the door of the carriage.

The coachman driving the carriage hopped down and gave a slight bow towards the carriage.

"Miss, we have arrived."
