Chapter 36 Killing The Toxic Iron-Back Tiger King
They wanted to know his real strength. Erian sneered inside but took a deep breath as he turned around to face a large boulder not too far from him.
"Bang!"
The boulder that was at least a meter tall and three meters wide suddenly cracked like an egg. The crack spread out in a web-shaped pattern before it exploded out into multiple pieces!
"With the aid of the gloves, I can restrain some of its attacks and maybe even hold it for a while for you guys to deal your ultimate moves to kill it."
The Black clothed young man's eyes flashed and he was about to say something when the blue clothed man spoke. "You've proven yourself brother Blake, we apologise if we made your feel uncomfortable. Since we are going to fight alongside each other, why don't we introduce ourselves."
"I am Clevel, a student in the Hall of Golden Ark. This fellow in black here is Dodge. And these two twins are Staab and Keele. And this is our junior Nadja ." Clevel pointed at the four people as he introduced them, finally confident of Blake's abilities.
Erian replied with a soft smile, "Nice to meet you guys."
Dodge chuckled strangely: "Are all the people from the village this strong?"
* * *
Within the forest, a lone slope more than a metre high and a mile in width stood by itself.
"Brother Blake, about a hundred steps further and we will see the cave where the Mutant is residing. If nothing has changed, there should be two Toxic Iron-back Tiger guarding out the entrance of the cave and the huge one would be residing within the cave. "
Those five people had all trained in different skills and their movements were skilled. They could walk in the forest without any sounds at all like they were wearing all wearing soundless boots.
Erian nodded as he whispered: "Brother Clevel, do you have a plan on how to draw one out?"
Clevel smiled cleverly, "Those Toxic Iron-back Tigers are attracted to toxic radiation and object. We have harvested quite a toxic nucleus, which is what would be used to lure them out. It should work."
Shortly after, the group could see the dark cave and the two mutated beasts about ten meters away. They all sucked in their breath and held it for a moment at the sight.
With everyone nervously staring, Clevel took out a long dark box from his pocket and opened it. Inside was a tiny stone that smelled somewhat fishy and bloody. It was the nucleus!
Holding them in his hand, Clevel explained: "It might take a while for the scent to accumulate and drift over to them, but it will surely spread. Once a mutated beast catches a whiff of it, we will have to immediately depart, otherwise we risk being swarmed by other mutated beasts."
As Clevel was talking, the mutated beast near them suddenly raised its head to the air, growling softly flaring its nostril.
"It's coming!" Dodge's eyes gleamed in excitement as his body tensed for action.
It was almost as if they were playing a game, when the mutated beast took ten steps forward, under the cover of the trees, they took thirty steps back; then the beast walked forward thirty steps, and they backed out another hundred steps.
…
Looking at the two Toxic Iron-back Tiger corpses on the ground, Clevel retrieved his blades from their bodies, "One last mutated beast to go, hopefully everything will go well."
Erian relaxedly replied, "No worries, everything will be alright."
In the battles before, Nadja did not contribute much because both Erian and Clevel were just way dominating with their blades and fist. With an overeager face, she asked, "What kind of fist art did you groan in? Your attack seems simple, but why is it so deadly? Could you perhaps teach me?"
Clevel frowned slightly at Nadjar question but didn't say anything to stop her. In the various places, manuals and skills were very strictly regulated, even master might not teach everything to the students, not to mention two strangers who just met.
However, Erian gave a half shrug and replied. "There really isn't much to it. If you practice your punching skills a hundred times a day, you will see the same improvements I had in a year."
"Really?" Nadja rolled her eyes, she didn't believe him.
Erian gave her a smile, and did not explain. Only he knew what he had gone through for the past few years just to train the Nine Hells Inferno Fist.
In the cave, that Toxic Iron-back Tiger was shockingly huge, even the size of its head was as big as a water tank. Its huge bright eyes locked onto the intruders with a bloody murderous intent. The pressure in the atmosphere chilled and instantly increased.
"It's here!" The blue clothed Clevel closed in with a flash, and his wrist twisted as it moved. four sharp hidden blades flew towards the monsters like hidden arrows.
The air seem to have been torn apart as the blades moved like lightning. These beams of hidden blades coagulated in midair as they poured irresistibly out like the ocean water and landed on the beast's body. The monster grunted with pain from the attack and was forced to shift backwards.
One of its eyes had actually been stabbed through by Clevel's hidden blades. A furious rage erupted from the mutated beast as it roared in anger at its blinded eye. A brutal wave of power flashed by its eye as it suddenly belched out of its mouth a large cloud of purple poisonous smoke sparking with flames and corroding the air itself.
Clevel eyes widened as he was clearly caught off guard, he immediately accumulated all the nuclear particles in his body into his hands. Slowly, his hands overlapped with waves and waves of energy and the air trembled as he seem to accumulate tremendous force within his palm, he was actually using a skill. The purple poisonous smoke roiled and as it was about to envelop them, Clevel sent out the palm attack.
"Boom!"
