Chapter 39
C39 – Wanted!!!
The Thunderclap Martial Club, a skyscraper that pierced the heavens, sprawled across thousands of square meters. At its entrance, a striking lightning totem stood as if alive.
The club was a testament to grandeur and majesty.
“What brings you three here?” Jing Zuoyue inquired without lifting his gaze from the sofa in the Master’s office, addressing the trio before him.
“Uncle, we have urgent news to report,” they said.
These were the same three who had descended from Sky Tiger Mountain, friends of Young Master Jing.
“Out with it, then!” Jing Zuoyue was known for his swift decisiveness and had little patience for dawdling.
At his unquestionable command, the three visitors exchanged nervous glances, steeling themselves before one blurted out, “Uncle Lu, Qujie has been murdered!”
“What did you say?” Jing Zuoyue, previously engrossed in computer work, was jolted by the news. “Explain yourselves!”
The trio was petrified by Jing Zuoyue’s reaction; after all, they stood before a Grandmaster, a figure of immense stature. A Grandmaster’s wrath was as deadly as it was swift, akin to slaughtering chickens.
“Are you speaking the truth?” Jing Zuoyue leaped from his chair, advancing upon them with a fearsome aura.
Crushed by his overwhelming presence, the three could barely lift their heads, their complexions draining of color.
“It’s true,” they affirmed.
“We had arranged to meet at Sky Tiger Mountain early today.”
With bated breath and quivering voices, they recounted the morning’s tragic events.
In that moment, the building’s glass shattered as if struck by an invisible force!
“Who would dare to kill my son? The audacity!”
Jing Zuoyue’s roar was filled with a heart-wrenching mix of fury and sorrow. The Grandmaster’s rage was a force to be reckoned with.
The continuous sound of shattering glass echoed around them, his roar resonating like that of a wrathful dragon. Every disciple within the building could hear his terrifying lament.
“My son…”
Choking on his son’s name, Jing Zuoyue was overcome with tears, a profound sadness welling up from deep within. This was his only child.
Jing Zuoyue was always incredibly indulgent with his son, sparing him from criticism and generously imparting his martial arts talents to him.
His love for his son was immeasurable, penetrating to the very marrow of his bones.
From a young age, Jing Zuoyue nurtured him like a delicate greenhouse flower, ensuring that no harm would ever come his way.
Just this morning, they had shared breakfast before setting out for the day.
He could never have imagined that his treasured son would be taken from him so suddenly.
His rage was indescribable, a torment far worse than if he had been the one to die!
In the office, the three individuals who had faced Jing Zuoyue were now prostrate on the floor, clutching their ears in agony, as if their eardrums were on the verge of splitting. The might of a Grandmaster was indeed fearsome!
“Who is he? What does he look like? Tell me,” Jing Zuoyue demanded.
He seized one of the men, insisting on a description of Pei Yu.
The man complied, trembling as he detailed Pei Yu’s features, not daring to show the slightest hint of impatience or pause.
“That scoundrel, he dares to kill my son. I’ll have his blood as recompense!” Jing Zuoyue seethed, tossing the man aside and grabbing the phone.
“Find this man for me. Early twenties, slim build…”
“Yes, exactly. Issue a citywide manhunt. I want him found at all costs!”
Before disconnecting the call, Jing Zuoyue reiterated the command for a citywide search.
It was clear to all that Jing Zuoyue’s fury knew no bounds. The young man responsible for Jing Qujie’s death that morning was as good as dead.
No matter his abilities, once he had crossed the Thunderclap Martial Club, escape would be nigh impossible.
