Another Stupid Isekai

Chapter 920 T.D.O.N.B: S15C, Part V - Two Silent Warriors

The ground around Nobuo shattered, and the fragments of stone started to be lifted, just to smash into his body, and stay there. At the same moment, a ring of fire appeared around him. The flames were growing quickly. At first, just danced around, but it very soon became a swirling tornado that started to melt all the earth around. Including the pile that already covered him completely.

The fire became lava, which only threw in volume before a blur appeared around the mages. Their heads fell off, breaking the spell before the magic took off completely.

It was Ki'rai, in her strange shimmering form. She attacked with such speed and such ferocity, that without anybody being able to react properly, sho was could take the lives of everybody who showed offensive skills.

The mages who only focused on holding Nobuo in place had to drop him to attempt to prevent Ki'rai from taking their lives. their first move was to attempt to hold her in place, but she seemed too fast, appearing right in front of one of them, and jamming her sword into his chest. This made the rest switch their approach, and focus to protect themselves only with a barrier.

Meanwhile, the samurai only held by the telekinetic abilities of the new foe, still levitating in the air, started to move.

Smoke was coming off his whole body, but the armor seemed intact. Grunting, he freed himself from the tight grasp, leaping back to retreat. Ki'rai did the same, as after a few quick slashes, the barrier proved to be too big of an obstacle for her to just finish off the mages and be done with them

The alien with the polearm decided to stop the samurai. Since he was in the air, it was hard for him to keep up, but once he landed, he reached Nobuo very fast, striking from above. The attack was blocked by the katana. Two blades pressed against one another, pushed by two strong arms, striking sparks as they scraped against one another.

The alien decided to switch grasp on the handle, trying to attach it to the other side of his weapon. The human noticed it, grabbed his wakizashi, and blocked the second attack.

This freed the cutting side for the alien. He immediately put it to use, this time striking with a combination of slashes. All fast, strong and precise. Without exception, all of them got blocked with both the katana and the wakizashi.

Nobuo decided to step up the game. Discharges of electricity left his weapon, jumping all over. Mostly right to the ground. He then unleashed his own sword, taking on the offense. Forcing the alien to defend himself from the storm of very quick slashes.

The rubble around them was getting shredded in the process, as the deflected attacks were misdirected all over the place.

The exchange lasted for a couple of seconds before the samurai used even stronger force. The lightning tiger appeared in the clear sky, then leaped down, making the alien retreat properly.

The next strike of the samurai sends out a powerful electric wave, which hit the mages. Ki'rai also would be affected if she didn't dodge it swiftly. In the process, seizing the moment, she threw one of her blades directly above the cluster of aliens before she got away.

Exhausted, they struggled to endure such a powerful attack, but, nevertheless, managed to endure, holding up their defenses.

Ki'rai, though, vanished from their sight. She suddenly appeared right above them, grabbing the short sword, delivering it from above with one hand, and pushing directly with the other. The speed was extraordinary, which also added to the attack, allowing the weapon to dig through the barrier, making it shatter.

A wide grin appeared on the little lizard's face, right before she unleashed her fury among the spellcasters, shredding them to pieces despite futile attempts to defend themselves. Together they were able to stand firmly, but alone, they couldn't keep up. Her blade could easily cut their flesh without the protective barriers. Even their clothes, although withstanding the cuts, couldn't stop the power behind them, which penetrated the fabric, crushing their flesh, bones, and internal organs.

Meanwhile, Nobuo and the alien reunited, trying to take each other's lives. They clashed swinging their weapons. The occasional bursts of electricity jumping off the samurai to his opponent constantly delivered a bit of damage, but otherwise, he was being pushed back.

The guardian didn't seem faster than the samurai, and yet somehow his strikes were able to arrive quicker, almost reaching the traditional armor. Because of this, Nobuo quickly decided to focus on defenses, while trying to figure out what is going on.

Such a passive approach wasn't good, so he mixed in some small attempts to at least do something against the alien, instead of just allowing him to do whatever he wished. That was the thought behind those discharges of electricity, that, as the human got more accustomed to his opponent, evolved into some more cheeky attacks.

Two copies of the samurai appeared seemingly jumping out of his body. Both blue, both very much electrical. They struck at the same time, delivering their blades, that even passed through the body of the guardian as the strikes landed.

It was obvious that he was just ignoring them.

The exchange continued, making Nobuo retreat even further. He kept his defensive stand, deflecting all the enemy's attacks. Striking sparks each time when the blurry blades connected. It was a grinder that trashed the immediate vicinity of two warriors. A moving mix of blue, orange, and black.

The blue was the electrical energy, the black was the armor of the alien, and the orange was provided by all the sparks struck over, and over again. It surely looked like if Nobuo could withstand this assault, his two soldiers would eventually ware the alien off. But there was a clear chance for a single mistake, which would cost Nobuo his life, as each guardian's strike was definitely deadly.
