Volume 2 Chapter 68: It’s A Kid
"What do I do?!" Keith screamed out! It had been a week since it was decided for the creation of the bakery.
But he looked dead as he lay on the grass. He had designed the farm and gotten Tidal and the forest spirits' approval.
Some spirits would go to the farm for an hour to help with the growth of the vegetables. Afterward, they would return home.
It was already in the works as Michael brought the workers.
"Cheer up, Keith!" "Po!" "Ho!" While Keith lay on the ground, he was bombarded by the small animals. Noticing the expression on his face, they tried their best to soothe his distress.
"I'm fine. But I need to think about how I want my bakery to look like," That was the trouble Keith had. He had the coins from William. But the design was a whole different matter.
Lighting, the color of the walls, and the ambiance. Keith was lost in how to design the bakery. What was more,
"What can I do to make the bakery different from others?" Keith wanted to design a bakery that stood out from others. But he didn't want to make it stand out too much.
It would stick out like a sore thumb.
That was why he had such a difficult time! I didn't think designing would be so difficult. In his previous life, he took part in creating his restaurants.
But he couldn't add a majority of those ideas into this world.
His thoughts were too modern to do it.
"Po!" Miyuki also walked over to nudge Keith. His tense expression could be seen by all the Samuis.
"Thanks, Yuki," Keith hugged the giant snowball.
"...Wait a minute." Keith stared at Miyuki and then at Inti and the rest. He kept looking at the five. He slapped his hands together!
"That's it!" Keith roared out! He knew what he had to do!
"Miyuki, kids, I need you five to stand together!" Keith understood what kind of design he wanted. This will be incredible!
The four snowballs tilted their heads, wondering what he wanted. But they saw how happy he was. Keith placed his sketch pad on his lap and started to draw.
...
"Gus, why did you call all of us here?" A middle-aged man questioned as he stared at Gus. There were four other people with this person.
"Ralph, didn't you tell me you wanted to get a job?" Gus questioned.
"Yeah," Ralph nodded his head. It was hard to find work in his village as he was going through many things. The same could be said about the others.
"That's why I called you guys here. I want you guys to help my boss." Gus grinned.
"Your boss?" Ralph and the others frowned when they heard that. Gus smiled and stated,
"You should try this before you say anything," He baked some bread for them to try.
"What's this?"
"Bread?"
"Are you making a joke? How is this bread?" This looked nothing like the bread they ate.
"Trust me. This is bread. And you guys should taste it before you say anything about it."
Like that, Ralph and the others tasted the bread. There was a silence before Ralph asked,
"Who made this?!"
"How could bread be this delicious?!"
"Do you guys want to work for him now?" Gus smirked.
"Of course!"
"Yeah!"
The four others quickly agreed.
"What about you, Ralph?" Ralph was the only one who didn't say anything.
"I want to see him before I make my judgment." They haven't even met this boss. How could he make a decision without meeting the person?
"Fair. My boss should be back from the forest." Gus stated.
And the person who entered the kitchen was none other than,
"A kid?" Ralph frowned when he saw that.
Keith smiled, "Hello, my name is Keith Freed. So you guys will be my employees, am I correct?"
Ralph turned to Gus, "You have to be kidding me, right?" How could a kid cook something like this?
"Trust me. My boss is the one who made this. And show some respect to him," Gus glared at his friend. Ralph blinked his eyes. You're not kidding.
That was what he was shocked about.
He has been friends with Gus for a long time now. And he understood this guy was not a joker.
He was serious about this.
"It's fine, Gus." Keith raised his hand, "I know all of you may be surprised. But I am the one who created these recipes. I will teach you the recipes of different types of bread."
"What about the pay?"
"It will be eight silver coins." Keith had spoken to Gus about this. The daily wage for an average worker was around two silver a day in this world.
"Eight silver!" Ralph and the others were surprised by this. That was crazy! They would get around two silver coins a day.
