Zombolution: Unleash the Undying Power

Chapter 23: Summoning Option

Chapter 23: Summoning Option

As the sun dipped below the horizon, two figures made their way through the darkness, leaving the makeshift base of the Red Shark Group behind. They walked side by side, a man and a woman, the leader and deputy leader of the Green Eagle Group. Their footsteps echoed in the quiet streets of the post-apocalyptic world as they engaged in a lengthy conversation.

The man, known as Alex, couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief as he spoke with the woman beside him, Maria. "Did you see that guy in the Red Shark Group today, Maria? Zorvax, they call him. I never thought they'd have someone like him. Mysterious as they come."

Maria nodded, her expression reflecting a mix of amazement and concern. "You're right, Alex. I've never heard of him before today. This world keeps surprising us."

Alex continued, "It's not just his mysterious aura, Maria. Did you see what he did with that colossal bone sword of his? He cut a bullet from a sniper rifle for crying out loud! I've never seen anything like it. And the way he lifted that enormous sword as if it were a feather... it's baffling."

Maria's eyes widened as she recalled those moments. "You're absolutely right, Alex. It's like he defies all logic and the rules of this world. He's a game-changer, and we need to be careful around him."

As they continued their discussion, the two of them shared their astonishment about Zorvax and his colossal bone sword. They agreed that the challenges of the evolving world seemed to be growing more complex and dangerous. "This war," Alex mused, "it's not going to be any easier than the last one. Zorvax could be a game-changer."

Maria chimed in, "Indeed, Alex. We'll have to adapt quickly and be prepared for anything. Zorvax's presence in the Red Shark Group adds a new layer of unpredictability."

Their voices carried in the quiet night as they contemplated the uncertain future of their group and the ever-changing dynamics of the evolving world. They knew that surviving in this harsh reality would require them to remain vigilant, flexible, and ready to face whatever challenges came their way.

Meanwhile, Zorvax lay on his bed in the dimly lit room, the soft hum of the ceiling fan providing a gentle background noise. Viktor had sent him several women, but he had to turn them away. It wasn't because he didn't appreciate the attention, but rather because he couldn't reveal his true self. The thought of someone discovering his zombie-like appearance terrified him. Instead, he chose to remain hidden under layers of clothing and kept to himself.

As he lay there, he mulled over the strange system he possessed, the one that allowed him to evolve. Zorvax had noticed the "Summon" option within the system, but it came at a cost. He couldn't help but wonder whether the cost applied only to the first summoning or if it increased with the strength of the summoned entity. He needed answers.

Speaking softly to himself, Zorvax pondered, "Is the cost for the first summon, or does it depend on the summon's strength?" He remembered that he gained around 50 evolution points for each Awakener he eliminated, and he needed to use them wisely.

Contemplating his next move, he decided, "I should start with a person, not someone too well-known, though. If their body were to vanish suddenly, it could cause problems. And I'm not sure if the summoned person retains their abilities or not."

In the room, the only source of light was a small bedside lamp, casting a warm, amber glow. Zorvax continued to mutter to himself, thinking aloud, "The general is well-known, but his abilities might not be strong enough. I should start with someone else." He worried that summoning a famous figure could attract unwanted attention, and the last thing he needed was additional scrutiny.

As Zorvax lay there, he couldn't help but wonder about the possibilities and limitations of his newfound powers. It was all so new and unfamiliar to him. Could he use this summoning ability to his advantage?

His thoughts drifted to the potential conversations he might have with the summoned individuals. Would they be as confused and lost as he was? Would they have insights or knowledge that could aid him in his quest for evolution and understanding? Zorvax knew that he needed to tread carefully and make the right choices.

With a sigh, he resolved to explore the summoning option further. "I have to learn more about how this works," he murmured. He knew that it was time to take a step into the unknown and see what the future held for him.

A night had passed, and the quiet of Zorvax's room was broken by a sudden, urgent knock on his door. He opened it cautiously, still concealed in full clothing and a mask. Peering out, he asked, "What is it?"

The survivor standing at his door appeared anxious, his eyes darting around nervously. With a sense of haste, he replied, "Viktor is calling you. He said it's important."

Zorvax nodded and responded, "Okay, I'll go to him right away." He closed the door behind him, his concealed figure blending into the shadows as he moved swiftly through the narrow corridors. Despite the trust the survivors placed in him, the ever-present shroud of secrecy surrounding his true nature kept him somewhat isolated.

Upon reaching Viktor's room, Zorvax knocked softly before entering. The dimly lit room held an air of solemnity. Viktor, a grizzled survivor with a steely gaze, sat behind a makeshift desk cluttered with maps and documents. Zorvax, his face hidden behind the mask, asked, "What do you want now?"

Viktor leaned forward, his voice low and measured, as he explained, "I think it's time to make a move, Zorvax. We should attack the Green Eagle group right now."

Zorvax looked at Viktor with his dead eyes and murmured, "So the war has begun, huh." Zorvax smiled and laid back at his chair thinking the number of evolution points he will get from the war.
