Yugioh Card Summoner

CH.524 Storm of Ragnarok

CH.524 Storm of Ragnarok

On our way back home, I talked with the three girls that were with me about Wilma. And yes, Wilma was included in the conversation.

It wasn’t too difficult for them to add Wilma to the harem, as she was basically an honorary member already. She just wasn’t a member because she had shown no interest, or not sufficient interest, in me until I grew a beard.

I think it is just a dwarf thing. A beard is a status symbol for them, so they want a man with a beard.

Speaking of, when I changed back to human, my dwarf beard disappeared, but I did have a stubble. Which is new, because I didn't grow one, no matter how much time passed. But now, I do. So I think if I let my beard grow … okay I probably won’t grow it out.

The girls will need to come to a conclusion on what length beard my human form should have and I’ll keep that.

Back on HomeBase, I began running some experiments on the creature I captured.

I started by having Lua scan it with magic, both Light and Water. I would have asked for a Blood Scan as well, but the thing doesn’t actually have any blood.

From that, we learned a bit. Firstly, this thing is not a monster. It doesn’t have a monster core.

Second, it is somewhat similar to a spirit, but it isn’t a spirit, nor is it a sprite. But it has some elements that are the same as spirits.

Third, it has some demonic elements. I had to summon Hope to make sure, and while she is no expert, she was able to confirm that the creature is part demon.

I then asked a System Angel to tell me what they know. Sadly, while they did know exactly what that thing was, they weren’t telling me until I had perfect System Support. Because ‘the rules’. Which is bullshit. Just give me the perfect System Support already so we can get around these problems.

But they did confirm that my conclusions were correct, so at least I had that going for me.

So, the creature is some sort of artificial spirit/sprite/demon fusion. And in one ‘big creature’, there probably are multiple smaller creatures. So it is probably some sort of hivemind, or something like that. Maybe.

I need to try and capture one of the large ones next time I see them to actually get an idea. Until then, I’ll keep the little one locked in its little jar and see if it dies if I don’t feed it.

Spoilers, I know it won’t die. It seems to live on mana and miasma.

Now, next thing. Molly and Cina are getting their Card Summoner skill orbs. Like right now. Their status can wait for later, because we just went over them, but I’m giving them the skill orbs.

For their cards, they both got the same set for now.

Both have one copy of each, Thunder Unicorn, Voltic Bicorn and Lightning Tricorn.

Spoiler

To act as Synchro materials, they have Sunlight Unicorn, Lock Cat, X-Saber Airbellum and Key Mouse.

Spoiler

I picked those, because with them, you can decently easily access level 5, 7 and 8 Synchros. Sure X-Saber Airbellum might seem random, but it also is the only level 3 Beast Tuner I have.

I also gave both of the centaurs a handful of useful spells, but I didn’t want to go too overboard, because their Card Summoners are still LV.1, so they don’t have the deck box feature to carry their cards.

But now, time for packs.

Because I got a new set ages ago, and I need to itch my Pack Opening scratch or I’ll go crazy!

So ten packs of . GO!

Spoiler

Karakuri Watchdog has an attack boosting effect, which I usually like, but Watchdog’s isn’t the greatest. And it is a Karakuri, and I already hate them.

Hourglass of Courage has an interesting idea, but it is a bit too difficult to keep alive for a turn, and even if you do, all you get is a 2200 normal summonable attacker.

Nordic Relic Brisingamen is okay, but it really should boost the attack by the attack of the other monster, not just making the two monsters match. But it looks quite pretty, so I might need to look into making one, just for that.

Nordic Relic Laevateinn is way too situational, but like Brisingamen, it looks cool, so maybe we can make one.

Karakuri Cash Cache searches Karakuri monsters, and searchers are always good.

Odin's Eye is interesting. Not as a card, but as an install. It would probably give some sort of foresight skill, and that could be very useful.

Kagemusha of the Six Samurai is my old friend Kagemusha of the Blue Flame all armored up. His effect is very situational, but it doesn’t matter, because nostalgia wins.

Resonator Engine is good. Just re-shuffle a couple Resonators and I can pick myself a new LV.4 monster. Nice.

And while Scrap Worm can attack directly, it sadly kills itself after one attack. And then recovers a Scrap from the GY, but it doesn’t special summon it, just returns it to the hand.

Next pack.

Spoiler

Vylon Matter gets Equip cards off of cooldown, so it is okay.

Garmr of the Nordic Beasts is pretty decent. It has good stats and the effect will probably scare away low ranking monsters. So it could be a good companion for adventurers or something. … actually, the effect is level based, so it probably doesn’t work on monsters, but I can always test that.

Ljosalf of the Nordic Alfar is fine. Nothing really special about it, but it isn’t bad.

Tiki Curse is really important for trap monster decks. And since it is a trap monster, it can be set onto a person. By itself it is just okay, but with a few support cards, Tiki Curse is amazing.

Terminal World is trash.

Zero Force is a bit situational, but when it works, it is very debilitating.

Hope for Escape is a bit too late. I have way too much HP to really make it work. But it would have been an alright Pack token generator.

And Odin, Father of the Aesir is a god monster, so I love it. I need to summon him ASAP so I can see what new he can offer. I just need a Nordic Ascendant Tuner first.

Next pack.

Spoiler

Yaksha is an alright spirit. But returning Spells/Traps ‘to the hand’, not that you can really do that with actual spells, but still. It returns the mana to the caster. So while it is nice, it isn’t as good as just negating the spell. And even then, Yaksha isn’t reactionary.

Divine Wind of Mist Valley is amazing. Special summon from the deck means it will summon a random monster that fulfills the condition, even monsters I don’t have access to. So I can, in theory, get any Level 4 or lower Wind monster with it.

Blood Sucker is a meh wannabe Vampire. But it isn’t a Vampire, so I don’t care.

Doppelwarrior is fine. It is really good in some Synchro spam decks, but for me, it is fine.

And Atomic Scrap Dragon is fine. Sadly the regular Scrap Dragon is better, but Atomic Scrap Dragon is still good.

Next pack.

Spoiler

Nordic Relic Draupnir is okay. 800 attack boost is nothing special, but it does search other Nordic Relics when destroyed.

Legendary Six Samurai - Shinai is fine.

Top Runner gives Synchro monsters a 600 attack boost, which is fine, but it lacks in stats.

Karakuri Gold Dust is fine, but Karakuris still suck.

Shien's Scheme is unnecessary for me.

And Shien's Smoke Signal is a searcher, so good.

Spoiler

Xing Zhen Hu Replica is … kind of meh. I guess it can prevent a trap from activating, but that can be done with 17 other cards.

Wattmole can attack twice. … with 0 attack. And sure while it attacks a face-down monster, that monster is instantly destroyed, but that doesn’t save Wattmole from being bad.

Majioshaleon is interesting. Its effect should prevent it from being an attack target for spells.

Blackwing - Calima the Haze is a situational protective card. It isn’t bad, just situational.

Karakuri Ninja mdl 919 "Kuick" is good, as far as Karakuri monsters go.

Barrier Resonator I like, because it can make Tuners basically unkillable for a bit.

Token Stampede is really cool. A nice attack boost for all Tokens. And they cannot be destroyed by battle. It really is a cool card.

Next pack.

Spoiler

Mimir of the Nordic Ascendant is the Tuner I need for Odin. Other than that, it doesn’t offer much.

Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts is pretty good. One of the best Nordic monsters. Special summons itself, specials another Nordic when changed from defense to attack. Just all around good.

Spoiler

Solemn Authority is pretty meh. There are better targeting protection cards.

Needle Ball is trash.

Symphonic Warrior Piaano is just kind of bad. Now admittedly I don’t know the Symphonic Warrior archetype, but it just sounds like a major pain based on this one card.

Spoiler

Mizuho is fine.

Blackboost makes Pack tokens. If it were a Spell, I think it would have been decently popular.

Token Sundae is a sucky board wipe.

Blackwing - Brisote the Tailwind is a bit too specific.

And Tyr of the Nordic Champions is nice. … except for the ‘If there is no other "Nordic" monster on the field, destroy this card.’ part of the effect.

Next pack.

Spoiler

Scrap Shark has a good attack stat for a level 4, but it dies when someone looks at it funny.

Worm Illidan is way too slow.

And Foolish Return is just not good. It is one of those troll cards that are printed for some reason. But actually, for me, since the term ‘my opponent’ is basically anyone but me, it might be useful.

Last pack.

Spoiler

Worm King is an SR, so nice to end on a super rare. Other than that, it is just okay.

But yeah. That is it for now. I have an Odin to summon.
