Young Master in the Apocalypse

Chapter 89 - Bunker

Viktor awoke early the next morning, just as he had planned. He quickly began to prepare himself and got to work on his plan. This time, he actually decided to bring all of his companions together to carry out the task.

Since he and his companions were about to embark on a journey to the secret bunker, as much as possible, he made every effort to prevent the other party from becoming aware of their plan. Hence, he informed the town guard that he wished to go to see the area more thoroughly and that he would return as soon as he possibly could.

The group then headed to the empty port. There might be no one in this port, but here, there were many boats lined up.

Just like what Roman had previously said, many of the boats had already been fixed after the apocalypse last year, but they had remained in poor condition ever since then. It seemed that the boats were rarely used and just left in a state of disarray.

Now when it was time for him to choose, Viktor did not find the one in the best condition nor the safest one, but he choose the most luxurious among them.

His gaze was fixed on one luxury yacht, which was 23 meters in length and 4 meters in width. It was called the princess yacht. He came to a complete stop in front of the yacht and said,

"I guess this one will be decent for us."

It was true that Viktor actually had a number of much better yachts than this particular one, but considering that this was after all the apocalypse, hence, a 5 million dollar worth yacht would have to suffice for now.

"Young master, this yacht will not be able to sail, the hull is cracking already."

Seeing his master remain calm, however, Barry realized he just said something stupid.

"You should just focus on cleaning, Barry. I will handle this matter!" Viktor then walked toward the yacht, and as soon as he touched its aluminum hull, he casted his spell.

[Metal bending].

When the spell started, he can feel teh surface of the aluminum hull and start to bend and distort the metal

"Alright, this will take a few moments. Don't bother me, I need to concentrate."

He then started fixing the cracks and patching all of the holes on its hull, and then he casted

[Metal tempering] afterward.

This particular spell took much longer to complete, especially when considering that there were a lot of surfaces that needed to be covered. The job took him more than an hour before Viktor was finally satisfied with the final result of his work.

[You have successfully tempered tier 0 material with outstanding quality]

Once again, he fell short of making excellent quality. He believed that the size of the mass had an impact on the success of tempering.

Just to be on the safe side, Viktor spends another hour on the hulls. It will be much trouble if the hull was not strong enough and broke in the middle of the frozen river.

[Metal tempering]

[You have successfully tempered tier 0 material with excellent quality]

Finally, he succeeded. He's much more confident now and believes this upgraded level should be more than sufficient.

Afterward, Viktor took a break. Indicating that, even with his upgraded manna pool, to constantly cast for two hours was quite tiring for him.

Now he just sat around and relaxed with the beautiful princess while Barry cleaned the ship. On the other side of the yacht, the two bodyguards kept an eye out for any wandering undead that might walk onto the yacht.

Just before noon, the ship was finally ready.

"Let's go!"

Despite the fact that the ship's hull had already been strengthened, this yacht, however, was not designed to function as an icebreaker. As a result, it was unable to sail to the sea where the ice was thick, but fortunately, the targeted island was only a short distance away from the coast.

They navigated their way through a river and it did not take long for them to arrive at their destination as they managed to reach it in less than half an hour after setting out.

It was an empty one mile radius island with one little house perched on a hilltop.

Since it was the only building they saw on this island, the group then proceeded to walk toward the house right away. They checked every room and each corner of the house with the aim to find the hidden path to the bunker.

"Here it is, master!"

They found it hidden inside the basement. They took a stair down and walked a deep 100 meter path, much as they had done in their previous bunker until they finally reached the steel gate which was considered as the main entrance to the secret bunker.

Seeing this, Barry once again said,

"Young master, do you have the key?"

A shake of his head indicated that he did not have any keys and in fact, he had nearly never held any in his life. He actually had planned to force open the gate before, but he no longer had a need for such a thing at this point.

[Metal bending]

Knowing the type of the door lock and handle behind, all he had to do was just use his power to feel the shape of the metal door and simply turn the lever and open the door easily from the other side.

"Open sesame!!"

At long last, the bunker door was opened, and as soon as it was opened, the emergency light was turned on, allowing Viktor and the others to see the place. It appeared that this bunker had not been touched for a long time as the air was a little dry and dust was all over the place.

For no other reason than paranoia, Viktor inquired with the Djinn if there was any human or other being inside, and was informed that the answer was none. Not a soul.

The group entered the entrance area before heading toward the main room.

In many ways, this bunker was almost practically identical in appearance to his previous one, which was three stories high, although it lacked all the amenities. There were no comfortable sofas, jacuzzi, and top-of-the-line entertainment items. The huge fridge was also empty, as the storage was filled with standard apocalypse supplies.

It was understandable as, in contrast to this one, Viktor's bunker had been specially tailored for him.

At this point, the most important thing was the generator. The solar-powered generator was the most crucial as it was needed to turn on both the water and the electricity systems.

Clankl!.. Brrrmmm

It took a little time to warm up but it was working perfectly. The power was turned on throughout the bunker, including water and the heater.

Since this bunker did not seem to have any problems other than dust, Viktor quickly thought about starting over in this place.

Should he?
