Chapter 1622 Accident
1622 Accident
Jiang Yuyan had fallen asleep for a few hours. When she woke up, Jiang Yang was by her side. Drowsy, she looked around, to get a grasp of her situation.
"Brother?" she mumbled. Jiang Yang caressed her head, "How are you feeling now?"
"Fine." She sat up in bed. "Where is Lu Lijun?" she asked, only to hear someone. "Yuyan, first have this water."
Nicky was there as well, who fetched her water.
She accepted it and had a few sips then asked again, "Where is Lu Lijun?"
"He is not here," Jiang Yang answered.
"Where has he gone?" She gazed at her brother with doubt. There was no way Lu Lijun would leave her side in such a situation. He was the kind to leave the entire world behind just to stay with her. "Tell me where he is."
Jiang Yang stood up, "Come with me. I will take you to him."
Her heart sank. "What is going on? Tell me right away."
"He is in the hospital," Jiang Yang answered, "There was an accident…."
"What?" she sprang out of the bed, panicked. "Tell me he is alright." Tears already rolled down her eyes as she held her brother's hands. This word 'Accident' was enough to suck her soul out of her body. It was terrifying. "He is alright. Trust me," Jiang Yang assured, "I will take you to him."
She hurried out, not caring for her appearance even and Nicky followed them as well. They reached the hospital where all the family members were present in the VIP room area. Yuyan, not caring for anyone, hurried ahead, "Where is Lu Lijun," her voice panicked as she could not wait to go to him."
"Calm down. He is fine" Lu Jinhai tried to comfort her and pointed at one door, "He is there."
She hurried inside the room where she watched Ning Jiahui sitting at the edge of the bed, looking at her son with teary eyes. Lu Lijun was lying on the bed, unconscious. IV drip attached to his hand, a bandage around his head and hand seemed to have minor bruises. "Lijun," Jiang Yuyan whispered and went to him. She held his hand in hers and could not stop crying. Jiang Yang followed her insided as well. "He is fine. Accident was not that serious. Just minor injuries here and there. He will wake up soon."
She simply hummed, and continued to cry. More she looked at him, the more she realized she needed to do something or next time it won't be this simple.
Jiang Yuyan wiped her tears away and looked at Ning Jiahui who was sitting there frozen as if other than her son she could see or feel nothing. "Mother, I am sorry. Because of me, your other son is not safe either," Jiang Yuyan said apologetically. "But, I will take care of it once and for all. After this, I won't let that man harm any of us."
Ning Jiahui drowned in her despair, finally spoke, "Make sure, he won't dare do it ever again."
"Yes, mother."
"Yuyan, where are you going?" Jiang Yang asked worriedly. "To end everything," she replied and stepped out of the room already, determination flashed in her eyes. Others were surprised to see her out like this but she talked to no one and made her way out while Jiang Yang followed her. "Yuyan."
"What happened?" Lu Jinhai asked and followed her as well, "Yuyan, where are you going."
She stopped and looked at the worried man, "Father, there is something I need to do."
"Yuyan, you are not going to do something reckless."
"Reckless had already happened, father," she replied, "Don't worry. I'll be fine."
"Yuyan."
"I have to do it or next time this accident won't be this simple. I have lost Qiang, I can't lose Lijun now," she declared which everyone heard, "I shall rather die right at this moment than letting the past repeat. I have to go."
No one could stop her, but Noah and Xiao Min followed her.
"Noah, stay with Lijun," Jiang Yuyan commanded while she let Xiao Min follow her. Noah could only obey her.
"Xiao Min, call San Zemin," she declared, and the man already appeared by her side. She stopped and glared at him, "You failed to protect him." Nôv(el)B\\jnn
San Zemin couldn't say anything in his defense, nor did he have the right to apologies. "Take me to where that bastard is at the moment," Jiang Yuyan commanded, her voice as if she was not going to take no as his reply. San Zemin could only listen to her though she was not his boss at the moment, but one could not dare disregard her authority.
After half an hour, they reached the residence where Jared was staying, the place he bought to stay. "Give me your gun," she ordered. San Zemin pulled out the gun from the gun pocket and handed it over to her, knowing he had to listen to her. "Boss…"
"I know how to use it," she interrupted him and walked out of the car after she tucked the gun in her jeans at her back and her top covered it, "You two stay back in the car."
"But…"
"Do as I say," she coldly warned and went to the gate. "Tell Jared Jiang Yuyan is here to meet him," she told the security guard. The guard infomed and she was permitted to enter the residence. Xiao Min and San Zemin felt worried. "What is she up to?" Xiao Min asked. "Just pray that she won't kill that man," San Zemin let out a deep sigh. "She is not that reckless. But if someone is to be harmed, it should rather be that man," Xiao Min commented. Both of them looked at that gate as if it was the wall they wanted to climb but were held back by a strict order.
Jiang Yuyan was led to the drawing room of the residence where she watched the man sitting leisurely on the sofa, with a wine glass in his hand. "Ms Jiang, I was waiting for you and finally you are here," the man said as the corner of his lips curved into a wicked smile.
