Lu Lijun turned around to greet his family members. Ning Jiahui finally looked relieved to see her son after a month.

"Where were you?" she asked.

"Just busy with work," he replied, hugging his mother. "I'm sorry for making you worry."

"If you know I'd be worried, then why would you do this?" she complained.

Lu Lijun chuckled softly, finding it unusual since his mother rarely complained or acted this way, usually maintaining a strong front.

She looked up at him, "What are you laughing at? Do you find it funny when I worry about you?"

He shook his head, trying to contain the smile on his lips. "I won't do it again."

"You'd better not, or I won't let you enter this home again," she warned, while Elder Lu added, "Especially since Yuyan would stay here and you wouldn't be allowed. That would be the perfect punishment for you."

The others agreed as well.

"All of you have decided to gang up on me at once?" Lu Lijun commented, "Such a cruel family I have."

"Go get freshened up. I'll arrange breakfast for you," Ning Jiahui instructed.

Lu Lijun nodded, but then he heard his brother, Lu Han, say, "Aunt Jiahui, don't bother preparing breakfast—he won't be coming downstairs until lunch."

Everyone understood the implications in Lu Han's words and smiled.

"No wonder you're my brother—you know me so well," Lu Lijun didn't shy away from the comment. "I had a meal on the flight."

"Yeah, it must have been a very satisfying meal," Lu Han chuckled. "We believe you. Go on."

Lu Lijun didn't stop to respond further. He hurried upstairs and went to Jiang Yuyan's room, now their shared, official room. When he entered, he saw Jiang Yuyan standing by the wardrobe, taking out clothes for him. Sensing his presence, she looked at him. "Go have a shower."

He obediently picked up his clothes and went to the bathroom. After a refreshing shower, with a white towel loosely wrapped around his waist and one hand ruffling his wet hair, he returned to find Jiang Yuyan arranging a breakfast tray that the butler had brought in.

She raised her gaze to look at him, as usual, finding him a tempting sight. She quickly averted her eyes and said, "Eat before it gets cold."

Lu Lijun walked towards her and gently held her hand, making her face him. "Why the long face?"

"You should ask yourself," she replied, trying to free her hand. But he held it tight and instead pulled her closer, making her collide against his half-naked body.

"You can scare the hell out of me and make me rush back home, but I can't even calm my scared heart by kissing you?"

She knitted her brows. "In front of the family members?"

"They even know I won't be going downstairs for a few hours," he replied with a smirk.

"Shameless…"

"About the kiss? What else could I do when they were present, and I couldn't wait to make sure everything between us was fine? Do you know how worried I was? I can handle anything, but not seeing you misunderstand me. I can never bear the thought of you thinking I could be interested in another woman. That could never, ever happen, and you should know that."

"I had to do it because Mother was worried, and she told me to find a way to get you back home. Not just her, but the entire family," she replied, her strict demeanour finally turning calm, "and that seemed to be the fastest way."

He raised a brow, his lips curving into a doubtful smirk. "The fastest way to get me back here so I could make up for how much you missed me?"

"It was for the family," she retorted, averting her gaze.

"Family is just an excuse," he countered, lifting her into his arms.

"Lijun, what are you…?"

"Let's do what you called me back for and also let's not disappoint my family with the expectations they have of me. I won't be going downstairs anytime soon," he said, carrying her despite her protests.

"Your meal…"

"In bed," he replied, placing her on the bed and hovering over her after tossing the towel aside, leaving himself stark naked above her.

"Lijun?"

"Shhh!" He silenced her protest with a kiss, while his hands worked swiftly to remove her clothes. "Don't deny you want me."

Jiang Yuyan stopped protesting, allowing him to undress her, his actions hurried and impatient. "We can do this tonight."

"I can't wait.

My hand hurt already while being away from you." "Rouge."

"Shameless, rogue—I can be anything for you, as long as I can have you."

By the time they stopped, an hour had already passed. "No more," she warned, completely spent and sweaty.

"It's not lunchtime yet," he teased.

"But it will definitely be my death time if you continue," she pushed him away with her legs. "Go eat your meal. Even if it's cold, you're not sending it downstairs to reheat."

He eyed her naked body while stepping out of the bed. "I already had the hottest meal, so I'm fine with this cold one."

"Shameless, go eat." Lu Lijun returned from the bathroom, dressed, and started eating, while Jiang Yuyan used the time to rest, mumbling in a complaining tone, "Don't know where he gets so much energy."

Lu Lijun heard her and chuckled softly.

She looked at him. "You're not taking any...wrong medicines, are you?"

Lu Lijun understood what she meant. "If I were, I'm sure you wouldn't be able to walk properly any single day. You're my own personal aphrodisiac."

"A horny man like you—I wonder how you managed to stay a virgin for so long?"

He laughed. "I was saving it for you, like an obedient husband who only gives it to his wife on their special night." n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Don't make me feel like I've just ruined the virginity of an innocent man."

"Well, it was meant for you, so it's fine if you ruined it. I'd love to be ruined by you over and over again."

Jiang Yuyan could not help but smile finally at his shameless replies. "Alright, eat."

"You?"

"No, your meal in the tray, you rouge."

Her soft giggle echoed in the room that warmed Lu Lijun's heart.
