Chapter 74: Blood Warrior
Chapter 74: Blood Warrior
With his apes dying from the hands of his younger brother, he learned that he could summon them again at will for as long as he had a World Energy to waste.
Not only that, he learned as well that he could let all his tamed beast stay inside his body just like how his Blood Minions could stay inside of him. Just thinking about it could make Jim realize how useful it was particularly in a real battle.
Most of the Beast Tamers didn't have such ability just like Jim. Their tamed beasts were always with them all the time, not inside their body. So Beast Tamers didn't really have so many tamed beasts with them for they couldn't always bring all those beasts all the time.
Some of the Beast Tamers had a useful artifact that could contain many beasts inside just like Jim's mother, Charley, who had a strange book of where her tamed beasts were resting inside.
So those higher-level Beast Tamers really had an artifact with them. For how many beasts could their artifact was able to contain were all depended on how a certain Beast Tamer was capable or lucky to acquire such artifact.
Of course, there were very few Beast Tamers somewhere in Encantadia who didn't need such artifacts to contain their tamed beasts. Those Beast Tamers had a small world inside their body making their beasts stay in there. And of course, their level of strength was pretty much greater. Greater than Charley herself!
It went without saying, such Beast Tamers were in the level of SSS-rank Hunter or certainly, the level of First Awakeners, the strongest existence among humans.
As for the lower level Beast Tamers, one or two beasts were enough for them. But well, it could already make their strength to increase to a certain extent with only that few beasts of them.
Besides, the taming of a beast was not that easy. You needed a certain level of Spiritual Energy to contain them and keep them in check. It was fine as well if a certain beast submitted wholeheartedly. With that, a Beast Tamer wouldn't need so much Spiritual Energy to suppress that kind of beast.
The only disadvantage for a Beast Tamer that could make them cry out to death was that when their beloved tamed beasts were killed in a battle. It couldn't be revived anymore!
After all, Beasts were not like a summoned Spirits that couldn't be killed in the Human World and would only return to the Spirit World when they die in a battle.
Summoners had this advantage compare to Beast Tamers. They wouldn't lose their pets not until if the Summoners themselves were the ones who died or were killed.
But of course, if a certain Spirit died in a battle here in the Human World, the Spirits couldn't be summoned in a certain amount of time. But at least, it was much better compared to a beast that would never be summoned again if they were killed.
However, Jim didn't have such a disadvantage. His tamed beasts could die all they want but Jim could still be able to summon them anytime he wanted.
If any of the Beast Tamers learned that there was someone who had this kind of ability, they would surely die in envy.
Jim felt delighted. At that moment, he'd thought about having more tamed beasts just like his Tree-Merger Apes that would fight for him. He also thought of naming them as a whole just like how he named his Blood Minions.
He could create a Blood Minion at will. The only problem was how could he create beasts that would fight for him instead of just being a spy.
He already tried to create such a beast using only his blood but he really just couldn't. It was as if something was missing.
Kaboom!
In the midst of his thinking, he heard another explosion. Just after a few moments, another batch of beads of blood surrounded him. It just suddenly appeared. He was still bewildered what was going on when he caught sight of his younger brother just above the pit where his many Tree-Merger Apes were gnashing their teeth to injure the fire embracing them.
At that moment, Jim realized what had happened. He missed the chance of watching the action of his younger brother since he was thinking about something else but it didn't need for him to think deeply about what did his younger brother had done.
He just killed as well his remaining Tree-Merger Apes! That really was cruel of him!
Jim wanted to hate his younger brother for his action but he just couldn't. In the end, he just tried to understand his younger brother why did he do such action. Perhaps it was due to anger?
Besides, his Tree-Merger Apes didn't really die. He could still summon them anytime. Seeing the many beads of blood surrounding him, Jim gathered them all together and absorbed them into his body.
He could feel the cries of his Tree-Merger Apes having so many complaints and wanted to be summoned for revenge. But Jim only sighed deeply while shaking his head slowly. He could only communicate to all of them and explain to them that the other party was his younger brother.
Learning about it, the apes stopped making a fuss. As helpless as they were, they were only forced to just accept the cruel fate that just befell on them.
Jim then shifted his gaze to his younger brother of whose gaze was set from afar. He could tell that the other party was looking for something.
Just a moment later, he saw his younger brother who disappeared suddenly with a blur. Jim could only guess that the other party went to find his wolf.
Jim tried to put his consciousness to his wolf but unfortunately for him, he wasn't able to. It appeared that he could only shift his consciousness to his Blood Minions. It really was a pity.
Jim didn't know where did his wolf had gone into. All he knew was that it was still alive and kicking.
He could only command all his Blood Minions nearby that were scattered around the woods to form a search party. The Blood Minions then immediately obeyed their creator as they frenziedly searched for the wolf.
However, at that moment, Jim had another thought in mind. He was thinking about how could he have more beasts that would be able to fight for him side by side. There was only one guess that entered his mind out of instinct. And he really wanted to try it out now.
He communicated to the other Blood Minions he had that were faraway and told them to inform him immediately if they caught sight of a pretty strong beast.
But he had just finished telling them what to do when one of his Blood Minions had immediately responded.
Jim really was astonished at the capability of his Blood Minions!
After receiving the response, Jim then tried to shift his consciousness to that certain Blood Minion who responded but to his astonishment, it really was a strong beast!
He could feel the strong aura exuding out from the other party but thankfully, it appeared that it was in a deep sleep.
Jim's Blood Minion was currently perching on a certain tree. From up there, he could see a bear-type beast lying on the ground. Beside it was something like a boulder and above that boulder was some kind of herb. It appeared that this bear-type beast was guarding that herb.
Jim didn't just watch in there. He retracted his consciousness before taking a deep breath. After a few moments, he said, "Exchange."
Swoosh.
Jim vanished and a little red sparrow replaced him. It was obvious that Jim was already near the bear-type beast.
Right now, Jim was standing in a certain branch of a tree near the bear. His target was the beast itself and he didn't really care about the herb it was guarding.
"Hmmmm. An A-rank beast?" Jim take a good look at the beast and guessed that it was actually an A-rank!
If it was before, he wouldn't be able to measure its strength. But after gaining incredible power from one of the Four Greatest Hunters and after witnessing the war of high-level humans against demons, Jim gained insights and capability to assess one's strength.
As for now, Jim had a plan to absorb the blood of that bear into dryness. He felt that the one thing that was missing why he couldn't create a beast that could fight for him was a container, a vessel to contain his blood! So he'd thought of turning a certain beast into a dry corpse and use its corpse as a vessel for his blood.
If what he was thinking really work, then creating an army that could fight for him would not become too difficult for him.
Jim was still yet to make sure if what he was thinking would work and he had already decided to what name he should call to them. The grin on his lips was just couldn't be hidden anymore as he muttered without knowing, "I will call you my Blood Warriors!"
