Chapter 54: Jim Woke Up

Chapter 54: Jim Woke Up

From afar, it was as if a giant fiery mushroom had just popped up. People inside the village were scared out of their wits. They really were thankful that the village had a tough barrier enabling them to survive the giant explosion.

But the barrier couldn't prevent people to be terrified by the sight. Most of the normal people had already passed out from shock. Some had even peed on their pants. Some couldn't stop shivering. Some were stunned. Different kinds of emotions flooded the crowd but of course, there were few who felt different.

Just like Bantay who were guarding his master at all times and watching warily the commotion outside. When he saw the giant explosions, instead of fear, what he felt was amazement.

However, he was still yet to recover from his amazement when suddenly, he saw the giant fiery mushroom made by the explosion being dissipated. No, it wasn't dissipating, it was being absorbed by who knows who!

The mushroom shrunk and shrunk gradually and rapidly until a ball of fire finally appeared in everyone's sight. It could be said that that explosion that formed like a giant fiery mushroom was being absorbed by this ball of fire.

All the fire produced by the explosion was nowhere to be found as a field filled with nothing but ashes were everywhere. But from the looks of it, only living things were affected by the explosion since they could see that there was no giant crater formed in the surroundings which were to be expected from a giant explosion.

Not just Bantay, even other people inside the village were astonished as well especially the higher level hunters. However, it seemed like the ball of fire was still not finish making its move since they saw it rotating itself once again.

Everyone seeing this held their breath altogether as they observed even more carefully what would happen next.

After a few more moments, the ball of fire stopped rotating and the moment it stopped, there was a swoosh! and shockwaves were released from the ball of fire and it rushed through its surroundings frenziedly. After which, just after the shockwave passed through all directions, a flame immediately followed suit.

The ground was then again started burning and it seemed like there was no sign of it stopping. The whole land surrounding the village was covered in fire, making the people inside doubt if they could still leave the village.

Bantay was without exception. He was worried if they could still leave the village since he knew full well how terrifying the fire formed outside the village. Even he was unsure if he could walk through the forest of fire without getting injured, let alone his master.

Bantay shifted his gaze to look for his master and he found him still in deep sleep. Sheiyn was on the other side of the sofa sitting on it and she seemed like she had recovered slightly from her shock. Even so, she didn't try to watch what was happening outside just like what Bantay was doing. She was afraid that this would make her feel another light-headed.

Bantay saw her and he didn't bother her as well. He then shifted back his gaze outside the village and the scene didn't change a bit. It was still covered in a fire! He saw many people gazing as well at what was happening outside and all of them had the same expressions. Bantay could tell on their faces that they were all wishing for this fire to be put out already.

Well, who would not wish for this fire to be put out already? It was a kind of scary, you know.

So after several minutes of watching the scene, Bantay was just about to turn around and go to the sofa to just sit and relax when suddenly, he felt an incredibly strong sword aura unleashed outside the village. Bantay narrowed his eyes to look where did the frightening sword aura come from.

But to his astonishment, just after a few moments, the sword aura was released, something like a shockwave passed through the fire all around. After which, all the fire he could see had immediately vanished, leaving only the dark land covered in ashes.

The ball of fire was still floating in the midair though. But Bantay also saw a person just appeared on top of it and brandished his sword towards the ball of fire making it transform into a human and fall on the ground.

It happened so fast that Bantay found it hard to believe. The fire that he thought of being hard to extinguish, was put out in almost an instant. Just how strong the person made it to be so capable of doing it in almost at ease?

Bantay then saw that person. And when he took a clearer look, he found out that the other party was actually the strongest hunter living in the village. He was the one said by his master to be stronger than his mother. His Master's uncle, Jason!

Bantay gasped in astonishment. He was thinking that if he fought this monster no matter in what situation, he couldn't see any advantage and there was no hope of winning either.

That time, Bantay decided for himself, no matter what, he would not provoke this person except when the other party hurt his master. But since the other party was someone close with his master, it was more unlikely for it to happen.

But still, it was much better as well if he would have a good relationship with the other party personally.

After thinking all of this, Bantay saw Sam walking closer to the seemingly dead body of Jino and lifted him. Then they walked towards the village together with Jason.

Seeing that the situation was finally solved, Bantay turned around and to his surprise, he saw his master waking up all of a sudden. He didn't think much and he immediately rushed towards him in worry, "Master are you ok?"

Jim who just got up from the sofa stared dumbly at his tamed beast. He didn't even know why did his tamed beast acting like that. But nevertheless, he opened his mouth and replied, "I'm fine. Why?"

"N-nothing." Bantay didn't know what to say. If he said that he was worried because his master was sleeping the entire time, didn't it looked like he was worrying over nothing?

But Bantay learned that his master wasn't sleeping at all but instead, his consciousness was wandering around.

It was something that made Bantay so much confused about so he asked afterward, "It's just that, we've learned that your consciousness is on somewhere else so I'm a bit worried..."

"You even know that?" Jim replied and was a little surprised.

But soon Jim realized that his body was lying unconsciously on the sofa all the time even after all the commotion that had happened outside. Just by thinking about it could make Jim realize why did Bantay become so worried about him.

"Y-yes... This kid here realized it." Bantay responded.

"Oh?" Jim shifted his gaze towards the girl before him as he found her staring at him with a furrowed eyebrows.

"So how did you do that?" Sheiyn who saw Jim looking at her asked curiously. She really didn't understand how did this lowest level Hunter managed to do that.

"Did what?" Jim asked trying to evade the question of the other party. He already knew what was the other party was talking about it was just that he didn't know what to reply.

If he said that he did it because he was amazing, wouldn't it appear that he was a bit arrogant? He wanted to have a good impression on this girl but he never intended for her to see him as an arrogant person.

"Y-you!" Sheiyn was frustrated. "If you don't want to tell, just say it! I won't force you!"

Jim felt awkward and being wronged. He was just feigning ignorance so how did it become like this? Besides, if he really didn't want to tell it to her, why was she getting so much angrier?

So knowing that the other party would become angry at him of which Jim didn't want it to happen, he then immediately replied, "If I tell you that I'm just simply amazing, would you believe me?"

Immediately, Sheiyn's face was darkened without knowing it. She stood up from her seat with her clenched fist. She walked closer towards Jim and immediately gave him a punch on the top of his head,

Sapak!

"If you don't want to tell it then stop acting tough!" Sheiyn lectured.

After which, she turned around and walked indignantly outside their house. Sheiyn really was dying to know how did Jim managed his consciousness to wander around or transfer it to his tamed beast but it seemed like the other party wasn't planning on telling it.

But Jim wasn't completely lying though. He really was just amazing and he was doing it so naturally that he didn't even know how he did it. If she knew about this, she would probably curse the world for being so unfair.

On the other hand, Jim felt wrong once again. He just told what he really thought but the other party really didn't believe in him at all. And as if it wasn't enough, the other party also gave a punch giving him as well a lump on his head.

Jim wanted to say something but he held back his words and sighed instead. He turned his gaze to Bantay and ordered him, "Follow her, don't let her go outside the village."

"Yes." Bantay nodded his head. He could see that his master was just fine. Although he was curious as well how did his master managed his consciousness to wander around, he didn't dare to ask it just like how Sheiyn did. He could tell that this was one of the abilities that his master had acquired recently.

Bantay then turned around and went to look for Sheiyn. He didn't dare to disobey his master.

Seeing both of them leaving, Jim then smiled. There was a reason why he did not stop Sheiyn from leaving. He wanted to gather all of his Blood Minions!
