Chapter 43: Santermo Clan

Chapter 43: Santermo Clan

Flying in astonishment and awe, Jim's Blood Minion of where his consciousness was in, was completely dumbstruck.

Jem knew full well that whenever his uncle Sam transformed into what he saw just now, the other party would likely go on a rampage and destroy everything in his wake!

His bloodlust would go uncontrollable that he would even try to kill his own allies even after the fact that he could recognize the other party.

How much more if the other party was a foe, his Tito Sam would surely chase them to the ends of the Earth just to satisfy his bloodlust.

But now, what Jim had seen was completely different. Though his uncle had transformed to that form, he didn't go on a rampage this time as Jim had expected to happen. He could immediately tell that his uncle was now able to control his bloodlust in that form!

If it really was the case, then his uncle's fighting prowess would surely increase to a certain degree.

As the Blood Minion was flying in the midair, Sam caught sight of this bird as his interest was immediately piqued.

He narrowed his eyes for a good while before disappearing to where he was standing only to appear right beside the red bird and caught it with his bare hand. As he caught it, he immediately landed on the ground.

Jim was really shocked by the sudden action of his uncle to the point that he didn't even have time to react to what the other party had done.

The Blood Minion struggled frenziedly but it just couldn't escape from the other party's grasp. Jim was then again planning to shift his consciousness to the other Blood Minion but his curiosity betrayed him once again. He then gave up that thought and watched what would the other party intended to do instead.

"Just what kind of bird is this?" Sam muttered silently in astonishment. He tried to sniff the red bird of which the color of it was very similar to that of blood but to his disbelief, even though his sense of smell was considered top-notch, there was no trace of smell that he could smell at all. No, it was not there was no trace, it was that it was completely hidden that even Sam himself found it hard to notice.

But it didn't hinder him to uncover through this. Sam closed his eyes for a moment and when he opened his eyes again, his brown pupils had then again turned silver and vertical. His gaze landed on the red bird he was grabbing as the bird felt a shudder and continued to desperately struggle.

He then tried to sniff it once again but his eyes widened in shock upon learning what was the red bird really was. It was very faint, but Sam could smell the smell of Jim lurking meticulously from the red bird.

Sam then grinned widely as realization dawned upon him. He then let go of the bird as it flew away immediately, as if afraid to be caught again. Sam's grin remained on his face, watching the red bird flying away as he spoke in a low voice, "That brat..."

After saying those words, only then his grin faded without a trace. He gazed to the dark sky, seemingly thinking about something else as he sighed deeply in dismay, "What a pity..."

Meanwhile, Jim whose consciousness was inside the Blood Minion that just managed to flee heaved a sigh of relief. He really was thankful that his uncle didn't do anything harmful against his Blood Minion.

He then turned his gaze to his uncle only to find him nowhere.

"It seems like he already left the area." Jem concluded as he thought, "Maybe I should shift my consciousness to my Blood Minion near the village. I wonder what's happening in there..."

With that in mind, Jim shifted his consciousness to the random Blood Minion near the village but to his disbelief, a forest of fire greeted him accompanied with a ball of fire floating above it as if a living existence gazing down to his domain.

If Jim was just in his body, he probably was showering in sweats right now from the intense heat that was engulfing the land.

Jim wanted to know what did happen and he was so eager to see how large did the forest of fire had covered. So despite the intense heat, he let his Blood Minion that were now perching on a certain tree that was rooted in some distance outside the forest of fire, fly higher and see what was going on. Without any delay, the Blood Minion flew higher and went above the forest of fire despite the strong wind going against it and the intense heat that could melt and turn to ashes everything near.

Of course, the Blood Minion kept its distance away from the ball of fire since it couldn't go near it anyway.

As it flew high enough, the Blood Minion's eyes widened in shock as it was affected by the feelings of its creator. In there no living beings could be found. The entire battlefield was on fire and it surrounded the entire village.

As if it just became a living hell!

"Just what the hell happened here?!" Those words escaped from Jim as he watched the horrible sight. "Just who is that crazy person capable of doing something like this."

He then shifted his gaze to the village and to his relief, there were a lot of humans in there and it seemed that the barrier managed to protect them from the heat of the forest of fire.

Nevertheless, the horror on their eyes, especially the normal humans and Low Rankers still surfaced on sight. Some of them even fainted and the others who were capable were carrying them to an open area and be treated by the Hunters capable of healing.

Middle Rankers and the S-ranks gazed at the towering fire and it was hard to tell what they were thinking from their faces accompanied by a frown.

Not long after, as Jim was watching the situation, he felt that someone with a strong presence had arrived. He shifted back his gaze to the place where the forest of fire didn't reach and there he saw his uncle Sam who just arrived.

Sam's eyes widened in disbelief as he mumbled upon arrival, "What the freaking hell..."

A moment later, he saw a ball of fire floating above the forest of fire and he immediately came to a realization. The ball of fire emitted an indomitable aura that as if ready to burn down everything around.

Sam immediately found his face painted in the dark accompanied by twitching eyebrows.

"That damn pest from the 'Santermo Clan', I shouldn't have let him join the fray!" Sam exclaimed in frustration as his gaze was fixed on the ball of fire.

The more he looked into it, the more his eyebrows twitch wildly!

But there was nothing else he could do. What was done was already done, there was no point to regret it now.

"Just why did the King let this insane outsider stay in the Kingdom?!" Sam complained since it was pointless to regret now.

But a moment later,

"But thinking about it, this Santermo Clan really is frightening..." Seeing that complaining was pointless as well, Sam could only remark in awe.

Speaking of which, Santermo Clan was one of the Eight Great Clans of the Central Mainland of Encantadia.

Their offsprings had a great aptitude in the ways of fire. They were the rulers of fire, they live with the fire and they could be the fire themselves. Except for the Dragon Tribe of 'Nether Realm' and Phoenix Tribe of the 'Celestial Realm', no one could beat them by the means of fire.

It was said that the founder of Santermo Clan was one of the First Awakeners that were still alive and kicking until now ever since the Forsaken Age. Its powers were so strong that it could even burn down time and space itself.

Santermo Clan fought against the Demons and Otherworldly Monster Beasts back then in the past three great wars and they made a legend for themselves.

They were a feared existence and there was no doubt that they would still rank in the top 10 even after all the families, clans, tribes, organizations, guilds, or a kind from all over Encantadia were to gather in one place.

Their proud clan was so big that they built a Kingdom only for their clan. Outsiders were only allowed to visit and would find their lives in trouble if they try to live in their Kingdom.

Sam knew full well that each and everyone from that clan only knew how to cause trouble and he really was frustrated by this fact. And he even got more frustrated when he found out that he was also helpless against this forest of fire and had no way of extinguishing it since he only knew how to destroy things as well.

He really wanted to teach them all a lesson sternly and follow his good example instead, a peace-loving man who knew nothing but peace!

"Just where the hell is that Jason!?" Sam sought the presence of the other party as he complained, "Why is it that it takes too long for him to do his job?!"
