Chapter 144: It's Time To Build An Army
Chapter 144: It's Time To Build An Army
Meanwhile...
Jim, who was trying to tame the little cat he stole from Janine, suddenly felt that the Blood Minion he sent to watch over Janine was been killed. That said, Jim didn't delay any time as he sent another batch of Blood Minions in search of Janine.
After which, Jim shifted back his gaze towards the little creature that he carried with his left hand and give the other party a warm smile. "Do you want to become my tamed beast?" Jim asked. He felt that he should at least ask the other party regarding this matter.
The little creature then hurriedly nodded its head repeatedly afraid that the other party would change his mind. That was once in a lifetime opportunity, how could it let this pass so easily?
Jim on the other hand was delighted. It appeared that this little creature really wanted him as its master. That said, Jim couldn't just absorb the other party's blood to death as Jim pondered for another way of taming a beast.
After some time of thinking, Jim thought that he should try giving a drop of his blood with the intent of taming the beast. Jim knew that the ability of the drop of his blood depended on what intent he put in it. If his intent was to absorb the target's blood, then the drop of blood with that intent would suck the target's blood into dryness. If, however, Jim's intent was to heal, then the target would certainly be healed.
So now, Jim was thinking that if he put an intent of taming a beast in front of him on the drop of his blood, Jim felt that it was possible to tame a beast without killing it.
With that in mind, Jim raised his right forefinger and pointed it towards the innocent-looking little beast he carried. After a few moments, a drop of blood was slowly coming out from the tip of Jim's forefinger.
But to his shock, the drop of his blood had just come out of his finger when suddenly, the little beast hurriedly devoured the drop of blood. Not only that, as if it wasn't enough, the little beast had even bit Jim's finger to suck more of his blood.
"Aarggh!!!" Jim screamed in pain as he tried his hardest to remove his hand from the mouth of the little beast who was enjoying itself sucking his blood.
After some time of furious struggle, Jim finally was able to remove his forefinger from the other party's mouth. He even sucked his forefinger like a baby trying his best to ease the pain.
"What the heck are you doing?!" Jim cried out. It had to be known that ever since he acquired the blessings of The Life, the pain from every wound he got was certainly being reduced to a great extent to the point that even if his body was pierced many times, he could still endure it. But now, this little beast, just by biting his forefinger, Jim felt an excruciating pain that as if his finger was being cut off. Just what in the world was with this beast?
On the other hand, hearing Jim yelling at it, it was noticeable that the little beast was hurt. Its eyes became filled with tears as it cried out loud and as its voice echoed across the forest.
Jim was in a panic. He even had to cover his left ear with his right hand just to ease the deafening cries of the beast he carried. This beast was really strange. It had to be known as well that his hearing ability had increased greatly. He could hear everything in his range very clearly no matter if the sound was low or deafening. But this little beast, in a mere cry, made Jim almost deaf to death.
Should Jim throw away the beast? Should he absorb the other party's blood to silence it? But it was way too cute for Jim to cause any harm at it.
With that, Jim didn't hesitate any longer as he hurriedly put his forefinger on the little beast's widely opened mouth. As if a nipple was put in a baby's mouth, the little beast's cries were shut for good. Not only that, its cries had even turned into joy as it continuously sucked Jim's blood like milk.
Jim's tears streamed down on his cheeks. What the heck was this? How could things end up being like this? He should be taming this beast right now, so how did he end up babysitting it as he was now actually feeding it with his blood?
Roar!
Screech!
However, Jim suddenly heard a furious roar and screeches of many beasts across the forest he was in. And he immediately felt a bad premonition ready to happen at any moment.
All of those beasts around were surprisingly, Middle Ranker. Jim was certain about it. Just by hearing the wave of World Energy flowing in their body, there was no way of mistaking it. It was just that, how could it be that there was a sudden appearance of this level of beasts? One must know that earlier, no matter how far and wide did he search, he could only find Low Ranker beasts all around.
But now, a bunch of Middle Ranker beasts were furiously coming at him from all direction, did the cries of the little beast he carried incurred the wrath of all the beasts in the area?
But now that he thought about it, he had just noticed as well that it wasn't because there was a sudden appearance of Middle Ranker beasts in the area. Jim focused his hearing all around him as he had noticed that the supposedly Low Ranker beasts from before, had gone berserk, no, it was as if their seal was broken, their real strength was revealed. Was this the effect of the cries of this little cat he carried? This little cat really gave him a lot of trouble!
As Jim heard all the incoming wave of beasts, he calculated that there were more than a hundred of them. Some of the beasts, fiery tiger, lightning leopard, blue lion, and many others had even reached their distance towards Jim as they immediately attacked him to try saving the little beast he carried.
Jim jumped away as he evaded their furious attack with ease. He then counter-attacked with his Blood Bullet using the wave of his right foot since his index finger was currently busy feeding the little beast he carried. The beasts were then hit by droplets of blood from Jim turning them slowly into dried corpses.
Jim was just planning to use his skill Exchange to run away from these herd of beasts when he suddenly thought of something that made him grin from ear to ear.
A while ago, he was frenziedly searching the entire forest for a worthy beast to make it as his Blood Warrior only to feel disappointed as he failed to find even a single of it. But now, the beasts he was looking for, were delivering themselves to him. This was really a blessing that Jim should cherish.
So then, as the beasts he shot with his Blood Bullet finally became dried corpses, Jim attracted the balls of blood that were formed above the dried corpses of the beasts as he absorbed all of it right away. Jim felt that his Life Energy had increased again as his satisfaction kept increasing.
Jim didn't waste any more time as he sent droplets of blood to each of the dried corpses of the beasts to make all of them his Blood Warrior. The dried corpses of the beasts were then slowly being filled with Life Energy as they all started to move and stand up from the ground. After some time, they were all finally been revived and excitedly roared to their loudest to express their joy.
Jim smiled. These beasts might only be a B-rank just like the Tree-Merger Apes he had, but he knew as well that their Life Energy was equal to the average A-rank beasts. Jim was satisfied from the outcome as he swept his gaze around him only to feel the many beasts approaching at him in large numbers.
Jim's grin didn't leave him though. He closed his eyes for a moment and when he opened it again, small balls of blood shot out from his body and surrounded him. Not long after, the balls of blood morphed themselves into Tree-Merger Apes as they all excitedly screeched in their loudest to express their joy.
"Now then..." Jim saw the approaching beasts in the area as he said, "It's time time to build an army!"
Jim ordered his Blood Warriors to greet the guests as they all didn't hesitate and hurriedly rushed towards the incoming beasts. Although their numbers were far fewer than their opponent, it had to be known that with their master around, they could just revive and return for the battle every time they died. This advantage for a Beast Tamer could really make anyone jealous of Jim. An almost undead tamed beasts? That was something that could definitely shake the world just by the news that it would bring.
