Chapter 251 Left Wing

"Get back! Tankers! How much longer can you hold?!" Lone Wolf screamed at the top of his lungs as he clutched his sword.

"Five more minutes, guild master! Unless we get some good healing support." One of the tankers replied as he kept his gaze forward.

"Thank god, at least, the pink mist is gone. Without the pink mist, I don't know what I would have done." Lone Wolf sighed and said.

Truly, he was about to lose his mind if the pink mist was still spreading. Without a single sound, without any notice, suddenly, thousands of monsters suddenly surrounded them, and now, they were in a full blown fight with them.

Without the pink mist, the mages couldn't even aim their spells. The healers couldn't heal the outside frontlines, because they couldn't see where the front lines even were.

With these problems, the while left wing was collapsing almost immediately. And as for the right wing, he had no idea what was going on there, but he was sure they were having a much better time.

The reason?

The monsters were coming from his side. They were coming from the left, while the right was slowly disappearing into the pink mist.

All this time, he was just hoping that the right wing would just completely their job, and would take care of the pink mist somehow. At the least, he would be able to start fighting a little.

The sword in his hand was covered with purple blood, the blood of the zombies that were attacking him.

"And make sure when you kill them, you crush their head. I already saw it before. They come back to life. We don't want to make that mistake again." Lone Wolf warned his men as he took a step forward.

"Where are you going, guild master?" One of his men suddenly asked him.

"Where do you think I am going, you fool? There is a battle happening right in front of my face, and you want me to stay behind? Are you stupid?" He shook his head.

"The artifacts that you have, they are too precious, guild master. All I say is that you must be careful. The guild cannot afford to lose any epic items." The man who stopped Lone Wolf said.

"Don't forget who the guild master is. You don't command me. And I know how precious this is. But they exist for a reason. If I can't use them, then what use is it that I even have them?" He asked, shaking his head.

Pushing the man away, he stepped forward, toward the front lines.

It didn't take him long to face an opponent. In this crowded place, opponents were abound in the thousands.

And all of them tried to target the front, rather than the side.

"This is bad. They know that the front is easier to pierce than the sides. They are coming in from the front!" Lone Wolf's expression changed.

"The mages are ready, Guild Master! With a visual on the enemy, they can actually start using their attacks." another shout came from deep within the army.

"Fire! What are you fools waiting for? These aren't your normal monsters. They are clearly stronger than many of you. We can't afford to hold the attacks. Keep a barrage in the front so that we do not get besieged by too many of them." Lone Wolf shouted.

"And get someone to go to the right wing and see what is going on there. Assess any damage. If they need reinforcements, send them. We don't want the mages and the healers within to be defenseless. Right now, the goal is to push off the monsters back until all of our forces have regrouped here." Lone Wolf said.

"I have already sent someone there, guild master. Some of the swordsman and the tanks are slowly returning from the forest. After the pink mist disappeared, many of them found their way back, and they joined the fight the moment they saw the beasts." Another man shouted.

"Good. I just hope that we will survive a few rounds, and then, we can adjust to what is happening. We need to thin them out a little." Lone Wolf said as his sword struck forward.

The monster that he was battling suddenly staggered back. But the reason wasn't exactly his own attack.

Instead, an arrow stuck out of its head, and purple blood oozed out of it.

Slash!

Lone Wolf slashed horizontally, destroying the beast's head.

He looked back and nodded at the person who shot that arrow. It was good support, without which, he would probably take much more time and effort to defeat that monster.

"We need more archers shooting. Why is every single barrage of shots taking so long? Shoot as much as you can. Don't stop!" He shouted as he kept pushing forward.

"Damn. To think that our guild master is so strong on the battle field." All the way in the back, the mages were not in the same heat as the swordsmen and the tanks.

They weren't facing the monsters directly, and were shielded in every single direction. So, they had the time and the luxury to talk to each other.

"Shut up. If any of the tanks or the swordsmen see you talking like this, they will start complaining. This is in the middle of battle. Focus on getting as many spells out as possible." The veteran next to him chided.

"We need to have a united front for this one, and we can't afford to piss of the people who are defending us." He said, with a softer tone as his staff shone with a green glow.

"You healers are always like this, acting like saints. I don't even know why anyone would take this class on purpose." The former shook his head and looked back at the heated fight.

"Fire!"

Lone Wolf shouted again, and this time, this mage attacked.
