Chapter 46
46 Battle
Zero who had just been thrown her by the spatial chaos forcefully jumped up despite the still disoriented body she was residing, a second, after she jumped the whole street was in chaos as numerous sharp slabs of rock, protruded out of the earth.
Zero having dodged earlier was not affected by the indiscriminate attack, she landed on the roof of a nearby building staring at the opponent in front of her, she knew who it was, it was one of Damon’s kin the earth bending grandmaster, although from her findings he could only control metal and the metal gotten from living things but she was not surprised by the fact that he could now bend the earth normally, after all, it was taking for granted that the monk who stayed in this plane longer than them would be able to solve the blood kin’s problem of not being able to bend the elements normally.
Zero felt the vibration of the earth through her feet and almost instantaneously 2 huge pillars emerged from underground destroying the house she was standing on aiming to impale her, jumping from the roof she used the emerging pillar as a boost to push her forward aiming to close distance with the enemy, the blood kin noticed this and kept on manipulating the earth creating rocks and obstacles, using her lightning-fast reflexes she kept dodging between slabs of earth using it as a foothold to change directions in the air while moving closer, despite the obstacles zero was lightning fast, in a matter of seconds, she emerged from the blind spot of her enemy and then ‘shling’ a sharp metal tone resounded, the twin moon scimitars had been blocked by a blot of red metal that emerged from the ground, the liquid metal was surprisingly solid and a huge force was being sent to back to her almost splitting her palms , using the reaction force from the slash zero twisted in the air dodging the metal spear that spontaneously emerged from below.
With a few flips Zero quickly distanced herself from the earth bender while holes from the earth emerged and numerous balls of red metal floated around the blood kin, his eyes were godless, it seemed to be just a puppet lacking normal thinking but its combat instinct was still appalling, looking at the flashes of red and blue flames that erupted in the distance telling the tale of another battle in the distance, Zero tightened her grip on the scimitars and thought ‘its seems the warm up is over’, she raised the scimitars, got in a stance and stared at the blood kin, her skin crackled as bioelectricity coursed through her veins increasing her speed and body parameters, non benders who had become grandmaster’s were able to achieve subtle control of their flesh, with a stomp, she disappeared from sight, using mysterious assassin footsteps that kept her in the opponents blind spot and she darted at alarming speeds which made her seem to turn into a lightning bolt in the eyes of others, in a matter of seconds she emerged behind the blood kin and slashed aiming at the blood kin’s head through the space between the floating metal balls, ‘ding’ her attack was blocked but she didn’t fret, she twisted in midair and kept slashing, ‘ding, ding, ding’ her blades moved so swiftly and crackled with lightning that they seemed to turn onto a lightning storm hitting and redirecting the metal balls that were attacking her while in midair.
As she landed her speed increased as she darted forward once more and jumped high while whispering “lightning circle” twirling her blades rapidly in a circular motion, the friction and the special frequency in which she made the blade trembles created a circle of lightning that created an electro magnetic force field which repelled the blood kin’s metal defence and went straight for his neck, ‘tear’ like a hot knife through butter the blood kin’s head was detached from his body but strangely no blood flowed, even though the kin’s head was detached the body below suddenly moved with surprising speed punching at zero who had just finished her attack, the fist was heading straight to her heart, right in the air when she was in such an awkward posture just after expending a great deal of energy to attack, with a great deal of determination she forcefully tore her muscles and bones moving her body away, the fist grazed her metal mask breaking the mask and leaving a huge gash on her revealed neutral face as she fell to the floor.
Falling on the floor she quickly rolled away avoiding the metal spikes that emerged which sought to impale her, all this happened in a split second, the blood kin’s decapitated head had not even landed on the ground yet.
After avoiding the spikes zero quickly mobilized the bioelectric current in her body to further set her torn muscles and bones, she quickly got up as she was healing and lunged at the blood kin, by the time the head landed on the ground zero had swung her sword vibrating the blade forming lightning, the lightning boosted her swinging speed and increased the strength of the blade, swinging rapidly lightning tore through the enemy’s body and it was torn to bits.
Breathing hoarsely as the smell of burnt flesh originated from zero’s body, she watched as the balls of metal a few steps away quickly gathered to form the complete body of the monk, while the destroyed body in front of her turned into blots of liquid metal on the floor.
