Chapter 238: 237 Exile_1
Chapter 238: Chapter 237 Exile_1
“Apparently, both of our Junior Brothers find cultivation tedious and lack the motivation to improve their realm. That’s why they took interest in such a trivial matter.”
“In that case, why don’t both of you go to the Central Continent where it borders the Demon Territory for some training?”
“Eldest Senior Sister, this is a bit…”
When Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou attempted to object, their Eldest Senior Sister didn’t listen to their pleas. She grabbed the collar of each boy with one hand, as though she was holding two small rabbits, and casually tossed them away.
The two of them only felt the scene in front of their eyes change, and suddenly they were in the sky, flying to the south at a terrifying speed, or rather, tossed towards the south.
The surroundings changed so rapidly that neither of them could calculate their current speed. Whenever they saw a flying ship pass by in a flash, or a Great Power flying by, it still passed in a flash, causing them to wonder about the passengers on the flying ship and the Great Power. They were both stunned, secretly guessing the cultivation level of these two figures and their astonishing flying speed.
Splash—
The two of them landed, tumbling head over heels, heads on the ground, feet kicking up to the sky, entwined by vines.
“I feel like my body is about to break apart.” Lu Yang struggled to stand up, his body aching as if it had been disassembled and reassembled.
“Where are we?” Meng Jingzhou looked around, noticing the dense vegetation and rare plants growing nearby in the exceptionally humid environment.
“Didn’t our Eldest Senior Sister say that she was sending us to the Demon Territory for training? This must be the place that borders the Demon Territory.”
Lu Yang pointed out the distinctive characteristics of the surroundings: “Look, these are rare plants on the continent, this is the Money Flower, this is the Flowing Cloud Grass, this is the Ten Thousand Green Wood, and this is a Snake Demon whose realm we can’t determine… huh?”
Several dark green Snake Demons appeared in their field of vision. They had triangular heads, and were rapidly slithering towards them, hissing and flicking their forked tongues.
“Run quickly!”
Unable to discern the realm of the Snake Demons, they took no chances. They untangled themselves from the vines, tumbled to the ground, and took off running.
These Snake Demons were clearly dangerous. They didn’t fear the Foundation Establishment Stage, what they were afraid of was that these demons might not be just of the Foundation Establishment Stage.
“Hey handsome boys, don’t run. Come play with us.” The Snake Demons spoke human language, seductively inviting the boys with their enticing voice, which was alluring.
“Sisters will make you feel heavenly~”
“Come play~”
The two of them looked back to see the Snake Demons had transformed into human form. They were beautiful, dressed provocatively, and clearly weren’t simple creatures.
“No, thank you. You guys aren’t beautiful enough.” Meng Jingzhou politely refused.
Upon hearing his words, the Snake Demons were stunned before their faces turned livid with anger. They ran faster.
Fortunately, Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou were quite savvy, and nobody could beat them when it came to fleeing. Their legs were as swift as the wind.
Unfortunately, their luck was bad. Distracted, they fell into a swamp.
Seeing that the Snake Demons were about to catch up, Lu Yang gritted his teeth: “We can’t go on like this, let’s use the Shrinking Earth escape method.”
“What about me?”
“Stay still, Ground Prison!” Lu Yang quickly drew a circle around Meng Jingzhou. Before Meng Jingzhou could react, he found himself in a Ground Prison.
Lu Yang used the Shrinking Earth method, pushing the Ground Prison, and the prisoner Meng Jingzhou fled.
“Can these two spells be used together?”
The Snake Demons behind them were shocked and didn’t understand what had just happened. When they expanded their Spiritual Sense to find the two men, they had already escaped the range of their Spiritual Sense and could not be tracked.
“Are we really that intimidating?” The Snake Demons looked at each other. They had thought to use their bodies to make some Spirit Stones from the Human race, but to their surprise, every single person in the Human race was so resolute, they would run at the sight of them.
The weirdest part was that when they offered to entertain them, the men ran even faster.
They were the Blue Sky Green Snake family, known for their ‘special services’ in the Demon Territory. Now, they wanted to expand their business among the Human race, but so far hadn’t even completed one job successfully.
“Should we go to the Human race’s brothels to apply for a job instead of coming here for this wild exercise? I heard many sisters do that.” Another sister asked.
“Isn’t it said that the Human race also likes to play outdoors? And we don’t have to pay taxes outdoors.”
“I don’t understand.”
…
On the other side, Lu Yang was still pushing Meng Jingzhou and running like crazy, his legs were moving as swiftly as a fish.
“Is it safe now?”
“We should have escaped by now.”
Both of them came out of the ground only to see a huge elephant’s foot, stepping towards them. Behind the giant elephant was a herd of elephants with red eyes, and the tusks were more than three meters long. They were not to be trifled with.
Lu Yang quickly pulled himself and Meng Jingzhou back into the ground.
When they popped their heads out again, there was a beast that looked like a tiger or a leopard feasting on a deer carcass.
For a brief moment, the two humans and the beast stared at each other. Then, as the beast roared, the two of them retreated back into the ground and fled once again.
Finally, the two of them successfully crawled out of the ground. They leaned on their walking sticks, clearly having been through yet another ordeal.
“This isn’t training, this is to…”
“Meng Jingzhou was cut off by Lu Yang before he could finish.
“Don’t say it. This is a waypoint given to us by the Eldest Senior Sister!” Lu Yang was more alert than Meng Jingzhou. He was worried that the Eldest Senior Sister had a way of knowing their circumstances, and frantically signaled Meng Jingzhou with his eyes.
Loading fear that if Meng Jingzhou upset the Eldest Senior Sister, it would lead to more torment for both of them.
Meng Jingzhou quickly reacted and immediately changed his words: “To discover… discover that our realm is unstable. This allows us to strike here, seeking opportunities for breakthrough!”
“Where should we go? We can’t stay here forever, can we?” Lu Yang asked, finding survival increasingly difficult, as he walked on the uneven ground.
“Don’t worry. As this place is where Central Continent and the Demon Territory connect, there must be large cities! I heard from my family that the Great Xia dynasty has established six cities here to guard against the Demon Race. An uncle of mine is stationed in one of these cities!”
“Huh? What’s that on your arm?” Lu Yang noticed a small black bug crawling on Meng Jingzhou’s arm. Its head was thick and its tail was thin. They didn’t know when it had climbed onto him.
“It’s a leech!” Frightened, Meng Jingzhou hastily shook his arm, but the leech was stuck tight, refusing to be dislodged.
“Don’t panic, I heard they’re afraid of fire. Watch me burn it! Bleh!” Lu Yang spat out Three Flavored True Fire, lightly touched the leech, and it was burnt to death. It loosened its grip and fell off his arm.
Both had their Spiritual Sense on alert, but had only been wary of the large demon beasts. They didn’t expect to have to be cautious of bugs in this place as well.
The leech wouldn’t have damaged Meng Jingzhou’s defenses, but Meng Jingzhou was a pampered sheltered boy who was not accustomed to such a thing.
After crawling out of a beast’s den seven times, being surrounded by beasts five times, forced to fight beasts four times, and crawling out from the belly of a beast once, they finally walked out of the dense forest and saw a city built by the Human race.
They were disheveled and limping, with beast drool still stuck to the tips of their hair.
The words “Demon Suppressing Pass” on the city tower radiated with an intimidating aura inducing an inexplicable sense of relief in them.
“God bless the Eldest Senior Sister, we finally made it out!” The two of them folded their palms together to give thanks to the heavens, thankful for the Eldest Senior Sister’s mercy.
