Chapter 699 Luna's Magical Spell.
"..." Blackbeard stood still as the streets in front of him froze altogether. The ice stopped spreading right before hitting his boots.
"Its rather chilly." Blackbeard touched the freezing cold and his hand immediately frozen. However, then the black smoke broke the ice and started engulfing the streets while making the ice disappear.
But then, a ball of fire fell from the sky and landed right on top of his head.
Boom!
Blackbeard's head exploded and fell to the ground back-first, with his headless corpse smoking black. On top of one of the pitched roofs, Luna waved her wand while sending waves after waves of flaming balls towards the Legion of Evil, who swarmed the city.
Three members of the Legion of Evil hopped across the roofs, going towards the beautiful black-haired woman. They were notorious criminals from the early days of humanity, where they did every criminal act known to mankind, and even now, they don't feel the slightest of remorse.
Luna noticed them approaching long-time ago, but still didn't react, because there was someone else to take care of them.
Tick-tock, Tick-tock...
The members of the Legion of Evil heard the sound of a clock ticking. It felt like the sound came right inside their brains, and they couldn't find the source of that strange sound.
But then, their speed and jumping ability drastically changed. They noticed that their hands looked different than before, and even their voices were different. Their bodies quickly aged until they were nothing but skin and bones.
They groaned in pain as their backs felt very strained, and they surprisingly felt sleepiness assaulting them. They stopped approaching Luna and instead fell asleep on their feet. However, that was also a sleep that would last forever. They died of old age.
The culprit of the incident, Alice, peeked through the heavy drapes while staying relatively hidden from demons. She hadn't learned to utilize her new-found powers in close quarters. Thus, she had to rely on long distance time manipulation powers.
Luna expected that to be all and was about to move closer to the walls. However, then a deep voice entered her ears.
"Where are you going, Missy?" As she turned around, she noticed Blackbeard's head regenerating with the black smoke until he looked exactly the same as before. Even the thick black beard was regenerated.
"That did quite sting, kahahahaha!" Blackbeard grinned viciously and turned the entire building, where Luna was standing, into black mist. Luna lost her foothold and fell into the black smoke.
Then, she quickly waved her wand, and a flaming sea exploded from the ground and enveloped the black smoke. Luna quickly left the black mist, but then crashed into Blackbeard's bulging chest.
Blackbeard reached his hand, clad in black smoke, towards Luna's face. But, she quickly dodged, flipped over the tall man and waved her wand. She made the oxygen disappear around Blackbeard.
Blackbeard's throat bulged slightly as he lost all his ability to breathe. He quickly ran after Luna, but she then kicked him in the face, forcing him to stay in the same oxygenless space.
Luna waved her wand again, and this time, she increased the gravity. Blackbeard crashed to the ground and felt like the entire world was fighting against him. It might seem like an invisible hand was holding him down.
Luna pressed the tip of the wand against Blackbeard's throat and softly said, "You are human, correct? The famous pirate that lived 300–400 years ago. I used to read stories about you as a kid, and I had a phase when I wished to be healthy, then track down evil and be a warrior of justice. You were the reason for that dream I had as a child."
Blackbeard glanced at her eyes sternly. He couldn't speak, and his face had already turned red from lack of oxygen.
The tip of the wand glowed as Luna finished her last spell. However, then the ground shook and a shockwave leveled the buildings, sending Luna crashing through a building with blood gushing out of her mouth.
She happened to catch a glimpse of Chronos and Mammon fighting. The range of their fight killed several demons and even mortals in their wake. Chronos couldn't stop Mammon from killing them.
Luna painfully rolled on the ground, and after stopping, she held her bleeding arm with an uncomfortable expression. Then, a shadow loomed over her. Blackbeard looked at her coldly, and his arm burst into black smoke.
"You talk too much." Blackbeard raised his arm, formed a fist with his left hand, and hammered it down!
"That's our speciality. Witches I mean." Luna closed her eyes, and the wand hovered on top of her palm. The wand suddenly burst into speed, pierced through Blackbeard's throat, and then started glowing till it turned into a tight metal cage that engulfed the pirate entirely!
"COUGH!" Blackbeard coughed up blood while bleeding from his throat. He looked anxiously at the metal cage and wondered where it came from.
"You think I talked and didn't do anything?" Luna stood up while mending her wounds. She continued talking, "Remember when I touched you in the throat with the wand?"
Blackbeard's eyes shook, and he remembered that when the gravity increased, the black-haired woman placed the wand against his throat. However, he didn't care too much about it.
"I placed a tracking spell at the spot I touched." Luna said, finishing covering her bloody arm. "That's why the wand could use the tracking spell to track you and do that."
She glanced at the hole in Blackbeard's throat and smiled. "The wand isn't a sentient being, so it can't do that out of its own free will. So, I created some simple tracking spell, nothing special."
Blackbeard gritted his teeth and activated the black smoke, which soon covered the wound. But then, the cage closed in on him, tightly coiling around him like metal cages. He immediately lost all his ability to breathe, and even his organs were crushing against his chest.
He continued coughing up blood while the metal bars hugged him tightly, crushing him. With a terrifying screech, the metal cages burst through his flesh and body—killing him with a bloody display.
