Chapter 636 Revolutionary.
Chapter 636 Revolutionary.
Four Seasons, somewhere in Winterland.
Isaac stood on top of a snowy hill. A snow-covered tree was standing proudly on his left side, and there was a deep snow valley below the hill. In the distance was an octagon-shaped prison. It was watched over by four tall watchtowers, and the landscape was dyed in white, and gray.
It was the prison where Oliver was before he escaped. He used all of his strength to run here, which took more than he anticipated. His powers were slowly leaving him, and he wondered whether he would lose all his strength after a week.
Whenever Isaac concentrated his hearing on the prison, he heard the shouting of prison guards, and inmates. The prison was in a state of chaos after the successful escapes of other prisoners, and now that the world was in a constant state of panic, it was rather dangerous times.
The prison guards obviously had no motivation to stay behind to guard the scumbag prisons, and wanted to return to their families to ensure their safety.
Isaac focused his gaze on a small town on the south-east side of the prison. There was only one road that led from prison to the town, and yet Oliver somehow escaped. It made him certain that someone helped him.
He suddenly jumped off the hill, and started running down the steep hill. His speed was incredible, even after losing most of his powers. He left the valley, and forest soon. The town neared, and he saw ordinary, and cozy-looking buildings with chimneys releasing clouds of smoke into the atmosphere.
Isaac stopped running once he reached the outskirts of the town. He saw the pedestrians walking with heavy snow clothing, and looked rather nervous, some even scared. The reason for that was soon found as Isaac stopped beside a window of a certain two-bedroom building.
The news showed the appearance of Gods, and Goddesses—they looked injured. There were Zeus, Odin, Ares, Apollo, etc, many powerful Gods, and even Humans. Yet, they all looked very exhausted. This made everyone certain that they were under attack!
'Simo...' Isaac saw the white-cloaked figure on the TV, who surprisingly didn't use his mask.
Isaac rummaged through his pockets, and found the white mask in his pocket. He covered his eyes, and heaved a sigh. After pocketing it, he continued walking deeper into the town, and slipped his hands into the pockets of his coat.
After touring through the town, he realized that most families were the families of the prison guards. There were the elderly, and even children among them. Even though the landscape was crude, there was still happiness in the air.
After half-circling the town, Isaac found a bench, and sat down. He swiped his hair back, revealing his inhumanly handsome face. He tried to ask questions of pedestrians, but they all scurried away from him, except the children, who were dragged away by their mothers.
'They don't treat strangers well...' He thought, and rubbed his chin thoughtfully. He debated whether he should go speak to Prison Warden. However, he would most likely get thrown out, especially if he asked anything from their escaped inmates.
While his thoughts drifted away, he felt a hand touching his shoulder. Isaac flinched, and turned around with a frown. He saw a brown-haired man with stubble around his chin, and he wore a fur-coat. His face was flushed with excitement, but then he reigned in that excitement, and looked around warily before sitting down next to Isaac.
''Eh...'' Isaac looked at the man with a frown, wondering who he was.
''Y-You are Wraith, right?'' The man suddenly whispered. ''Isaac... Whitelock, right?''
''Yes...'' Isaac hid his surprise. This place looked like it was in middle of nowhere. To think that someone recognized him...
''I have been waiting for you!'' The man said with excitement, and quickly covered his mouth. He then tried to speak with less volume in his tone, ''I mean, I expected you to come here.''
''Who are you?'' Isaac asked with a frown. How did the person realize he was coming here?
'Is he working with Oliver, and knew I would come here because of our bad past...' Isaac frowned, and caressed the grip of his revolver. His interface didn't work anymore. Thus, he had to find a gun, and he bought a revolver a few months ago. It was for testing purposes to see whether he could use different class weapons in real-life.
He could use it, but it was like Precision didn't work as well with revolvers. It was strange.
The man, without seeing the revolver, said with happiness, ''My name is Revolutionary... I mean, that's my internet nickname!''
'Revolutionary... Revolutionary... where have I heard that name?' Isaac dug deep into his thoughts until finally he remembered that one post, where person Revolutionary called out a big conspiracy theory. In the end, his theory was quite valid.
''You are that guy who spoke about owners of big companies going to Moon alongside Arthur?''
''T-That's me!'' Revolutionary looked around warily, and whispered, ''I know where Oliver went, and who helped him to escape.''
''Who!'' Isaac almost jumped from his seat.
''It was... Sword of Myth!''
''Them?'' Isaac frowned, ''Why?''
''All-America is very vengeful, it seems. I have been following Sword of Myth's movement for the past month, until I saw one of their captains coming here. I bribed one of the prison guards, who told me that they met with Oliver. Then, I stayed in the town as an undercover, and woke up during the night as several prisoners escaped.
''Among them was Oliver, and I definitely didn't think it was a coincidence. Thus, I tracked them until I found Sword of Myth's headquarters, and it's surprisingly only two hundred kilometers away from here! They are playing the Government like fools, who think they have already left Winter Continent!''
Isaac nodded with understanding, 'All-America is using him as bait... Sigh, can I even beat him in my current form?'
''What are you planning to do?'' Revolutionary asked with excitement, ''You are going there to kick ass, right?!''
''I am not sure...'' Isaac stood up, and covered the revolver under his coat, ''I... Don't think I can beat them.''
''What do you mean you can't?'' Revolutionary frowned, ''You are as strong as God!''
''I was as strong...'' Isaac looked at him, and sighed, ''Thanks for helping, but you should leave before the Sword of Myth finds you.''
''I put all my faith in you!'' Revolutionary stood up with a pale expression, ''Sword of Myth has already found out about my existence. They will find me, and kill me. Maybe torture me to discover all the stuff I found about them. I trusted that you would go there to annihilate them!''
''I lost my legacy!'' Isaac shouted. As he saw Revolutionary's face showing a clear shock, he sighed, and turned around. ''My power is leaving me. I would die there.''
''T-Then... use your avatar!'' Revolutionary's words stopped him in his tracks. ''Losing legacy doesn't give you a one-week penalty. Instead, you can go inside the game right now!''
''I would need still need legacy, and teleportation pearl to enter real life.'' Isaac said.
''No, you don't!'' Revolutionary walked to him, and said. ''One guy made a test, whether he would be able to use his avatar in real-life after losing his legacy. He could! So, you only need Teleportation Pearl, and I have one. We can meet in Stronglord, where I will give you the pearl!''
Isaac looked at him before sitting back on the bench, ''I assume you have two VR Helmets available?''
''Yup!'' Revolutionary grinned.
