.Trivia of the day #11: Asmodeus's hand is a separate creature now
_____________
It didn't take Asmodeus long to reach the so-called seal, if anything, he was teleported right near the entrance of it.
As Asmodeus quickly traverse the end of the canyon gaps, thankfully thanks to his powers he ran on top of the surface of the deep snow, however, what he ran into was something beyond what he imagined.
Amidst the blood and body, along with the never-ending snow, he found himself in a never-ending field of black roses.
Asmodeus began to appraise these roses but for the second time today, his eyes couldn't see through them.
"What up with everything being blocked today why can't I appraisee these, what's is the hold up now?"
He asked confused about the entire situation.
"I can understand my new hand, but why these roses?"
The answer he got however was something else as Shublavara said to him.
[I guess the time has already come]
"Haaa... what are talking about?"
Asmodeus ask completely lost as to what she said.
However, Shublavara began to speak in a gleeful tone, as she said.
[This is where we part ways Demon King, finally, I will be free from the grasp of that accursed woman control, Ayhyahahahahaaaahhahah.... marvelous, truly marvelous, exceedingly marvelous indeed]
"Is that so?"
[Yes, you have no idea how much I owe you Asmodeus]
[Because of you I can finally see the light of day again, freedom, it was a dream I have long given up on, a dream, I thought the very concept was impossible to accomplish, years of pure isolation, years of suffering, years of imprisonment, finally my torment ends today]
Spoke Shublavara in a bitter-sweet tone at the end, to which Asmodeus replied.
"And how do you even know I will come out victorious?"
[Then I will accept my faith, a rot here till my mind give way, that why don't loose]
"I make no promises woman, however, be assured I will cause enough destruction to destroy this world and break this realm to nothing at the very least."
[Hahahahahahah.... good, good, good, however, that is easier said than done Asmodeus, because Ekhidnanta cannot be defeated by supernatural means, the only way to defeat her is to fight her head-on with everything you have, and be warned this won't be either as Ekhidnanta specialty is melee, and hand to hand combat]
"Can you explain why?"
[It's hard to explain, however, Ekhidnanta has the terrifying and broken ability of paranormal erasure, you see every and all supernatural effects that are aimed at her, is erased completely and absolutely, which becomes meaningless, meaning you can't kill her with anything magical]
"In short as long as they are not magic base attacks and purely physical base attacks, I should be able to hurt her, am I right, or am I wrong."
[Yes, pretty much]
"Interesting, alright then I bid you farewell woman, thanks for the hand I guess!"
[I feel the same as well, if you do succeed and win against Ekhidnanta, then without a doubt, you are a warrior of the highest caliber, I shall pray to elder Gods for your safe return and victory]
[This might be the last time we meet with each other, and again really and truly thank you for everything, your service is much appreciated]
Asmodeus said nothing, all he did was step foot on the black roses, and like that he felt as if all links he had prior were severed.
He gazes at his hand, as a feeling of sudden if not immense weakness takes over.
"I see so these dark roses are something like an extension of the enemy power erasing capabilities, interesting, very interesting, oh well... I can't always be dependent on magic."
Said Asmodeus as he began to walk through the fields of dark roses, however before he comes in contact with the enemy, he grab Asmodeus and asked Kuromaru.
"Partner are you still there?"
However, there was no voice, it was as if the spirit disappeared as soon as they enter this field, he even went as far as, to appraise Asmodeus, but his divine eyes did not work.
"This power even affects my divinity, haaa this Isn't going to be an easy fight."
"I feel no mana, my connection to the world is suddenly severed, and about 90% of my supernatural powers are gone, tsk... although a very useful and interesting power, this ability of Ekhidnanta is very annoying and tricky to deal with, she forcefully makes her enemy fight her only with the natural power they are born with, no wonder Nero could not beat her, her power was given to her by me, in the end, that child is only human."
"Well then let's see what ability I am left with."
With those words said Asmodeus, began to feel deep within himself, and to his surprise, he only had four abilities left, there weren't magical, they were natural.
"So shapeshifting, harem empowerment, blood manipulation, and adaptive immortality are what remains, well this should do, I can still feel my connection to Nero, meaning she is not too far from here either."
"Anyways... let's get this over with."
Asmodeus proceed to walk straight until he suddenly made an abrupt stop, the reason being before Asmodeus, was a giant 5-meter floating black monolith that had cracks all over.
It had countless amounts of glowing blue glyphs on it, along with a menacing, aura to it, however, the most abnormal thing about this scene wasn't the fact that it was leaking magical energy despite being in an area that doesn't allow mana to operate in the first place.
Instead, it was the thing in front of the giant monolith that seems truly off, before the Monolith lies one single old rocking chair, and on it was a motionless corpse of an elderly woman that was in her late eighties-nineties.
Her skin was wrinkled severely, and her complexion was ashen grey as if she lost a lot of blood, she had long silky white hair that was don't in a neat single braided plait.
In her eyes was a black blindfold, she wore a vintage-style uniform, long-sleeve shirt, and long white and gold pants, and the uniform was white and gold, she had an old fashion short tie that was golden in color and tucked neatly in her uniform shirt.
Around her shoulder was a special sash with an odd and beautiful shield shape coat of arms with a sun with several pairs of black wings.
She has several other badges that were attached to the uniform as well, which signifies that was high-ranking in her work field.
Asmodeus looks at her from afar, observing her, however, he knew just watching would not solve the problem, so he took Kuromaru from his side, and held it tightly in his hands, preparing for the battle before it even started.
And right after he was several meters away from her, he stopped, as he suddenly had a bad feeling, as he said while looking at her.
"So that the legendary huntress haaa, the one who killed a Demon King in the past?"
Although no one answered him, he didn't need confirmation to know how dangerous this corpse is, he was merely standing in front of it, and yet his instincts were telling him to run.
However, as he asks this, a small cold, and subtle breeze came along and blows away a couple of the roses.
Although moments later, the rocking of the chair suddenly stops, and the voice of an elderly woman could be heard.
"Ohhh! how I long for ethereal peace, I tire of war, day in, day out, without rests, or need, the years have toll this dying body of thine and beyond the limits at that, my strings are getting weaker every passing second, but as long as there is sin in this world, I shall not rest till all is atoned."
Spoke Ekhidnanta as she slowly emerges from the chair, and to Asmodeus's surprise, he was shocked to see that the enemy before him was 8ft tall.
And right after she said that first part, she continued to the second while pulling out a pair of brass knuckles, and gently placing them on her hands as she said while looking at Asmodeus.
"Know this Demon, My name is Ekhidnanta, the claw of Zenobia, the fear of all that is evil."
Spoke Ekhidnanta as she proceeded to slowly walk up to Asmodeus in a menacingly and fearless fashion.
To be continued.
