Chapter 36: Murderer

Time seemed to pass extremely slower in the long and dark night. The three were lying on the grass and waiting quietly. Han Jin refused the unreasonable demand of Moxinke, and Sunier would never agree with such bad idea to seduce those guards by herself. As a result, what they could do now was only waiting for the opportunity.

In fact, Han Jin had at least one hundred ways to dispose those guards, but all on one premise, that was to allow him to put his Art of Tao to good use. However, without energy, everything was just empty talk.

“Alas... I wish a thief would come.” Moxinke exclaimed in a whisper.

“Moxinke, you have said this at least ten times. Could you please stop acting like a woman!” Han Jin rebuked impatiently.

“Like a woman? What’s wrong with a woman?” Sunier interjected.

“No...nothing...”

Moxinke tittered with his hand covering his mouth to avoid loud sound which may attract those guards, which made Han Jin feel more angry: “Moxinke, we are doing a great thing, be serious?!”

“Great thing...” Moxinke sighed: “It’s likely that we will wait in vain all the night and go back with empty hand.”

Just when they were talking, two of the guards left the gate and walked along the wall to the corner. Moments later, their figures disappeared in the bushes.

Han Jin was refreshed. He cast a glance at Sunier. Sunier nodded her head after listening something carefully, indicating that she was confident to kill the remaining two guards without stirring anything.

Then Han Jin and Moxinke crawled towards the direction in which the other two guards left. When everything was prepared, Sunier propped up her body silently and pulled her long bow.

An arrow shot through one side of the temples of the guard in left and fly out to the wall, nailing the guard on the wall firmly. Hearing the sound, the other guard turned around immediately, but just as he was going to shout after seeing such miserable scene, another arrow shot through his throat fiercely and swiftly. His upper body was pulled backwards by the strength of the arrow with his upper jaw and afterbrain both shot through. The guard was nailed on the ground at last and his body curled into the shape of an arch. His legs kicked aimlessly several times before he was finally motionless.

At this time the other two guards came back talking and laughing. Seemed that they just left for pissing. The moment they were passing the corner of the wall, Moxinke sneaked to them from their back and stabbed the neck of one of the guards with his long sword streaking across the dark night like a lightning. Though he couldn’t release his strength of fighting, his speed of killing the latter guard was still agile and fast. The guard’s body stiffed suddenly with his head nearly cut down by Moxinke’s giant sword. Blood shot out like fountain spring.

Then Han Jin pounced upon the other guard with a long sword in hand. But his opponent had already turned back with right hand on the handle of sword. However, before he could understand what had happened, a bloody hole appeared between the eyebrows of the guard and blood splashed out to the face of Han Jin.

Han Jin was a clean man, though only one side of his face was spattered with blood, he still felt very uncomfortable. He mopped his face forcibly, only to make the smell of blood more strong.

“Hey... You look more handsome now. I like it.” Moxinke joked.

Han Jin was expressionless. How could the big guy laugh under such circumstance. Imagining the blood mingled with some brains..... It was better not to think about it anymore!

Sunier dropped down in front of the gate of the courtyard after several leaps and stared at Han Jin. Her expression was calm and cold, showing no signs of what she was thinking at all. Maybe she was angry about Han Jin’s disdain to ‘women’, or maybe she was just too concentrated on killing her enemies to notice the calico-like face of Han Jin.

“Laughing enough?” Han Jin said coldly.

“Well, well, let’s go in.” Moxinke nodded.

Han Jin walked over slowly and patted Moxinke on the shoulder. The moment Moxinke turned around, Han Jin had raised his arm and wiped Moxinke’s face with bloody hand and strode forward complacently.

“What are you doing?” Moxinke growled angrily. They were not professional killers. Accurately speaking, they were just a group without organization and discipline like a flock of sheep without a shepherd. But in spite of their naughty behaviors, they kept in mind firmly their mission of this operation. They knew if any of them made a bit loud sound, people in the whole courtyard would be woken up.

“Nothing, just to find psychological balance. I feel much better now.” As Han Jin replying this, his eyes were squinting at Sunier, as if saying: “Girl, wait and see!”

Moxinke followed Han Jin spitefully. He found no fault of Han Jin for the time being just as Han Jin couldn’t find that of Sunier’s. They could only wait and bear this in mind.

Things were clear hereafter. George had never thought any one would dare to touch the ass of a tiger. After all, his son-in-law was the mayor of the Eleventh Town and a high grade fighter. Who would dare to provoke him? What’s more, he knew people very well and would never offend powerful persons. Those bullied by him were usually ordinary civilians without patron.

When Han Jin and the others went into the bedroom after knocking out four maidservants outside, George was still sleeping with his arms holding a woman aged twenty or so. The dawn was coming and they had not much time left. Thus Han Jin’s action was somewhat rude. He slapped the face of the women several times and then struck her on the neck the moment she opened her eyes. From the physiological point of view, one could be knocked out in sleeping too, but it made Han Jin feel more assured to see his target went into coma with his own eyes.

Water was poured on George’s head. He opened his eyes dazzledly. But when he saw the shining sword in front of him, his face turned white immediately. Waking up from his nice dream only to see two murderers in his chamber with sharp weapons, it made him scared out of his wits, but what was more terrible was the blood that still on the faces of the two murderers.

“My lords...” George said with a shiver.

“We are run out of money and wanna borrow some from you.” Han Jin said directly with scampish tone.

“I have... I have...” George nodded his head in a rush and pointed at the cabinet beside the bed.

Moxinke poured the things inside the cabinet on the bed without saying anything. Most were jewelries for women.

“Not enough.” Han Jin said coldly.

“My... my lord... I lost money in last business and these...”

Han Jin looked down and stared at George’s middle finger. On it there was a quaint ring. George’s expression changed dramatically. He smiled to them fawningly and pulling down his sleeves subconsciously, attempting to hide his hand.

Unfortunately, his attempt just reminded Han Jin the ring of Sunier immediately. He grabbed the sheet and cut down a strip of cloth after a waving of his sword: “Stuff it into your mouth!” He said to George.
