Chapter 394: The Divine Dragon's test part-1
Chapter 394: The Divine Dragon's test part-1
"Well, you asked for it." While keeping an eye on the Governor, he too attacked her aggressively with the flexible energy blade.
The battle went on with Bran on offense and Rini on complete defense. For a whole three minutes, he didn't give a single chance for her to go on offense and kept pushing her back with his combo attacks.
However, due to high defense and high damage reduction, Rini's HP reduction is too less than he expected.
Once the time is up and the flexible energy blade was back to normal, Bran suddenly leaped back, giving an opportunity for Rini to fight back.
Her fire blade was burning brighter than ever as she thrusts it towards the sky.
"Activate, Phoenix Tornado."
*Screech*
A powerful screech of a bird was heard as a violent tornado made of flames was generated with the tip of her sword. Slowly, a flaming bird formed at the vortex as it rapidly became bigger.
The flaming bird flapped its wings.
It enveloped every person nearby whether it is an NPC or a player, ally or an enemy as the flaming bird was charging towards Bran with a hundred feet big tornado.
Every enemy that caught up in the tornado ended up dead while the allies didn't get harm in the process, although they weren't in any condition to battle.
Bran looked at the incoming fire tornado calmly. As it rushed towards him, he slowly backed away, trying to lead it somewhere away from the Crown princess while sacrificing many soldiers on the way.
Meanwhile, Rini followed from behind.
The Tornado lasted for a whole thirty seconds. Bran's speed was so high that it didn't catch him up but was able to take down more than 220 enemy soldiers and players.
Once the time is up, the fire tornado disappeared and suddenly hundreds of players and NPCs that were caught up in it dropped onto the ground.
Bran felt that it is the perfect chance and send a message to Snow Princess (Sierra). After confirming it, he took out a scroll.
Linked Teleportation scroll
Grade: Heroic
Description: The user will be able to teleport to his/her friend at any time or place as long as he/she is located in the same realm as the user.
"Well, I don't want to use this but I guess I have to"
He crushed it and all of a sudden, he disappeared from Rini's view before she saw hundreds were dropped before her, making her lose his position. "Damn, that coward. I didn't expect him to run away."
She immediately sent a message to her uncle to track out his location.
However, within just ten seconds, before she could even get the info, she saw a giant red sword raised in the sky, located a bit far away.
"That sword" Her eyes widened in shock. "It's him, alright"
Just like Wil's invisible and invincible attack, Heavenly Push, this giant red sword was the hallmark of Bran. Every player recognized it, immediately.
From afar, she saw the giant sword was slashed down at the ground and in the next seconds, the series of notification sounds ran in everyone's head.
*Ding! Duke Reinhold was dead.
*Ding! Reverie Province was liberated and became independent. The Searvale Kingdom no longer holds authority over Reverie.
*Ding! Tremellia Similis Reverie is the new Queen of the Reverie Kingdom.
*Ding! Reverie Province turned into the Reverie Kingdom.
*Ding! Congratulations to the players of Reverie Kingdom for qualifying for phase 2, the World War.
As for Rini, she received an additional notification regarding her quest failure just like other players that stood by the side of Searvale.
One of the notifications threw the world into chaos as they didn't know that a liberated kingdom can participate in the second phase on its own, instead of resuming the war with the Searvale kingdom for territory grabbing.
After all, the players didn't receive such notification when Wil occupied Llyne. Some of the analysts wondered whether it might be because Wil is a player.
The story of the Imperial weapon also made a few guilds search for the missing heirs and a few large guilds even attempt to release the imprisoned heirs.
Of course, it was a piece of good news to Wil who knew the real advantages of having a bigger kingdom.
While he was a little bit sad that his plan of finding the Crown princess was never implemented due to the Dragon Island and Bran managed to win in the end, still, Wil wasn't worried about their development. The moment he acquired the Tiamat, he knew that no one in the world was strong enough to challenge him now.
So, he put his entire attention on how to make Lucius, the King of Dragons.
Because he is a player, Wil was able to acquire the information regarding the conditions to claim the throne through a quest as soon as Lucius left the home with Wil.
Quest: Meet the Divine Dragon
Description: Come to the Abode of Divine Dragon at Mt. Velkazar with Lucius Draconus along with at least one of your Faction members.
Time limit: 48 hours.
Reward: 100 fame points
Failure: Lucius will be disqualified for the throne.
"Only one supporter is needed. Then, that's fine. I actually don't need others' help in taking down the opponents. Just my Leon is enough to eliminate every competitor."
While Wil was busy reading the quest, the translucent dragon was explaining to Lucius a few things about the test he was going to face. However, it was invisible to Wil just how his holographic screen is invisible to NPCs.
A few minutes later, Lucius finally looked at Wil and told him that they need to go to Mt. Velkazar.
Wil doesn't know where it is either. So, he opened the map and search for it.
After finding its coordinates, Wil answered him, "It is on the northwestern edge of this island. It is nearly eight thousand kilometers away from here. Let's leave right away"
*Roar*
Lucius nervously mounted on top of Leon as just like others, he also treats the beasts as nothing but invaders from the Endless Ocean. He couldn't help but being afraid of it even after Wil assured him that it is an ally.
The winged lion continuously flew for 12 hours without taking any rest on the way, reaching the biggest mountain on the Island where the Divine Dragon, Velkazar stays at the highest altitude and look after the world.
*Ding! Flight is prohibited.
As soon as they reached the 50 kilometers vicinity of the mountain, Wil received the notification, forcing Leon to land on the ground and let them climb the mountain on foot.
Mt. Velkazar is a twenty thousand foot mountain with an uneven surface. So, it isn't easy for Lucius to go on hiking without any preparations or so whatever.
Thankfully, for them, Leon is a mythic grade beast that also has the same running speed as flying.
Within no time, they reached the top of the summit where there's flat ground and a cave. Strangely, Wil saw a portal to the cave.
"Is it a dungeon?" he wondered.
When he tried to inspect it, he found nothing but question marks. Both of them started to walk.
Standing before the portal, Lucius suddenly asked in worry. "Everything will be fine, right? The others will have the support of so many people and I only have you."
Wil smiled as he nodded, "of course, there's nothing to worry about."
"Let's hope that's the case." Taking a deep breath, he stepped inside the portal. Wil followed him.
*Ding! You entered the Cave of Velkazar.
....

. Thank you.
