Chapter 33: Williard calls for a Meeting
Chapter 33: Williard calls for a Meeting
After knowing that he still has a week left, Will accepted the quest, "I'll go."
As Will accepted the mission, a smile appeared on Ravus' and he nodded, "good. I'll leave it you, then."
Since the matter between them is finished, the mayor turned around to walk to the dining table again to eat his lunch but he was once again interrupted by Will, "wait for a second, Mr. Ravus. I'm actually here for one more reason."
As the mayor turned around to look at him, Will asked, "I wonder if Mr. Mayor knows anything about a bey leaf and an orchid flower."
The mayor lost in thoughts for a few seconds before he replied, "I know about the orchid flower. They were usually grown in the forest near the lake of Kaiser but Bey leaf? It's just a myth."
"A myth?" A frown appeared on Will's face.
The mayor nodded, "it's just a myth from the legend of Artemis. Legend says once upon a time, our Kingdom of Lyne is used to be called as the ancient Kingdom of Artemis.
It is said that people of our kingdom use the leaf as a means of ritual to pray to the founder of their clans. The spirit of the founder then grants the ritual holder, tremendous power, and makes him the leader of their clan.
There are other versions of it but there are no historical pieces of evidence that Artemis kingdom once existed even though there are tons of stories about it. Anyway, you can go to the library and find more information if you are interested but honestly, it's a waste of time in my opinion."
Will didn't comment anything and lightly bowed, "thank you for the information. I'll take my leave."
The mayor smiled and stayed there for a while as Will turned around and started to walk away. After he went away from his sight, Ravus looked at the necklace and smiled, "I guess, today, I'll be able to eat and sleep in peace."
Meanwhile, Will, who left the Mayor's Manor, started to walk on the street.
"Hmm, seems like acquiring the bey leaf is indeed difficult. Let's check the library, later."
...
While the Imperial guild was left in chaos, White Tiger was growling in madness as he didn't receive any reply from any of his elites or his Vice-leader. He made the Crimson Moon, a level 61 Mage as his new Vice-leader, and posted a hefty bounty of 20,000 credits per kill on his deserted elite members.
On the other hand, several guild leaders or Vice-leaders along with some strong rankers except for Flame Emperor and Snow Dew who refused the invitation as they weren't interested anything except for playing.
One hour later,
Moonlight restaurant;
As 15 members of 26 invited people arrived at the restaurant, they saw Will and two others entered the restaurant.
Looking at the shining equipment on Will, greedy thoughts appeared on some of them but no one dared to show it as behind him stood Remia, a level-125 Guardian NPC.
"Aster, is everyone here?"
"11 of them aren't here yet."
"Forget them. We don't have to care about it. It's their loss."
"Hello; let me introduce myself. I'm Time Traveler, the Guild leader of Scarlet. Everyone, please, take your seats."
As all of them took their seats at the tables, except for Aster and Remia, who stood behind them, Will spoke, "First of all, I thank Guild leaders of Heaven, Westeros, paradise, Snow, Royal Chaos for accepting the members and helping us for joining our quest to destroy the Imperial guild. The rest of you will find out sooner or later. So, we put that matter aside and go straight to the matter without wasting time."
As they nodded with a smile, a few of them were confused about the matter while others stayed silent in understanding.
"So, anyway, our agenda for today's meeting consists of two things. First, destruction of Imperial Guild, second, taking control of East Ocean City.
What you have to offer is your co-operation and what will I offer is increasing your guild strength."
While a lot of them frowned but stayed silent, guild leader of Evernight, asked, "And how do you plan to do that?"
Will took out his silver nobility badge and showed them, "with this. As you can see, I'm already a Viscount."
As soon as Williard took out the nobility badge, everyone was already taken aback in a shock as all of them knew its significance, and listening to his words, confirmed their suspicions.
Looking at their expressions, Aster smiled as he was proud of his young master.
Meanwhile, Will continued, "Let me tell you one of the benefits if you don't know. I can employ 100 guards a maximum of 100 levels above me as long as I have enough gold.
All of you know about the update. All cities will be connected within a kingdom. With my help, your guild's strength will increase tremendously. With East Ocean city as our headquarters, you can open branch guilds in other cities and rule them.
Eventually, we can not only develop together, but we can also control the whole kingdom. That's my final goal."
Listening to him, Vice-Guild leader of Wings, asked, "Is that really possible?"
Williard smiled, "to take control of the East Ocean city, we should first suppress the Imperial guild. That's where I come in. I'm telling you, one guard above level 100 has at least an attack stat of 25000 and maximum can even go to 100K."
Hearing the number, while most of them gasped, "100K?" a couple of them, who knew it, nodded as if they knew it.
"That's the case of lower-ends. You can imagine how strong would be those higher-end guards. Now, I'm level 100. That means I can employ level 200 guards, which you can imagine to your extent."
His face turned cold as he continued to speak, "With the guards I employ, we will shut down 80-100 wide zones completely.
Only 16 of our guilds will be allowed to level up. Anyone, who dared to protest, will be taken care of by the guards. To enter the new wild zone, one must pass through the portal and the portal will be controlled solely by us. So, anyone who wants to level up will either leave the city or must join your guilds."
