Chapter 105: Philip's letter
Chapter 105: Philip's letter
University of Ares;
As a Neurosurgeon was explaining with a grave expression in medical terms, Wil stopped him in the middle, "Dr. Steve, I'm not a medical student that I can understand what you are saying. I know you can't be sure. That's why you put my dad in observation. Just tell me what the chances of my dad waking up. I'm mentally prepared for the worst."
The doctor didn't take it to the heart and replied, "honestly, very slim chance"
Wil then asked calmly, "so, we should hope for the miracle now, right?"
The doctor apologized, "I'm sorry."
Wil lightly bowed, "I understand. Thank you," and left the room with Silver and Storm.
As soon as they reached the private waiting room, Wil collapsed on the sofa while his body started to shake uncontrollably and suddenly began to sweat.
"Young master"
As Silver and Storm grabbed him, Wil raised his hand, "I'm okay. I'm okay."
And then, he made a tight fist in both hands and closed his eyes, trying to calm down, "Wil, you already expected this from the start. Okay, calm down."
A few hours later,
Storm kept on walking back and forth while mumbling, "Lord Philip will wake up for sure for sure"
Just then, a team of doctors entered the room along with the director and Dr. Steve, who operated on Philip with a depressed look.
Upon hearing the news, Storm grabbed Dr. Steve's collar and then throat, "how dare you say that. Didn't you say it would take a full day? Didn't you say there's a chance of waking up? Did you even operate on him properly"
As the rest of them panicked and called the security as the doctor coughed, Silver tried to calm down Storm.
"Storm, don't cause a scene. Release the doctor, right now," yelled Wil as light tears formed in his eyes.
As Storm left him, Silver successfully took him to the side while Wil wiped his tears before it fell and then, looked at the doctor and the director coldly, "I would like to apologize for his behavior but I don't have the mood to do so. So, understand our situation and get out of our sight. If you hand over the body and relevant materials of the operation, we'll return.
I warn you though. If there's a mistake in operation..."
All of them bowed once again, "I'm sorry."
Helipad on one of the Rooftops;
After the body was placed in a helicopter, Storm and Silver stepped inside while Wil looked at his dad once more and said, "I'm not coming with you guys. Dad gave me one last job to do."
As the helicopter fly away, Wil gripped the letter Silver gave him a while ago. Looking at the guards from HQ, Wil spoke, "let's go."
While he was on his way towards HQ, Wil opened the letter and started reading.
"My dear Wil, if you are reading this letter, that means, the operation was a failure and I died. Originally, I thought of staging my death as an assassination instead without any clue so that Silver and Storm will take revenge for me and wipe out my enemies. You'll also be safe from possible assassination. It's like hitting two birds with one stone.
A wonderful plan, isn't it? Just kidding. But, seriously, it's the only thing that came to my mind until I hear about your gaming company and changes in you.
Then, I thought even without Vulture or Scarlet, you might still be able to secure your future.
But the biggest problem is how to secure your life?
After thinking for a long time, I was able to find a simple solution. A solution that will make your grandfather's spirit become very angry.
That is to just give up the Vulture group and sell all of our assets to our bitter enemies, the Antolov family, and finally, leaving the western continent for good. Only that way, you'll be safe. I advise you to bring Scarlet HQ to Leafway city to increase your security just in case.
.
.
.
Coming to the operation, well, I guess Silver might have told you about it but I'll explain the situation 20 years ago.
It was just a normal day. I and your mom were on a holiday trip to Vangelis Islands. Suddenly, there was an attack on us by the Bridge family.
At that time, you were still in her womb. So, to protect two of my most precious people, I have no choice but to take the bullet to my head. Silly, isn't it. I could have just pushed her aside or just pull her down grabbing her hand to crouch behind the table. But what can I say? When you truly love someone, you would think with your heart, instead.
Well, anyway, we cleared out Bridge family afterward. So, there's nothing to worry about loose ends
.
.
.
Let's put aside all these little matters aside for now. There's something I hid it for the past 19 years from you. I thought of telling you before I leave your apartment but I can't really handle alcohol.
Your mother is alive."
Wil was taken aback by this and then continued to read.
"After that attack, your mother became stressed daily and began to suspect every little thing. Fights happened a lot and she decided to leave me to stay away peacefully with you.
But, I was very young back then. You are the heir to my empire. How could I lose you? In the end, sigh we got divorced when you are 2 years old and I ended up lying to you that she died.
Now, your mother remarried and is living happily with her daughter or you can say your half-sister. But, please don't visit her if you are uncomfortable with it. I'm sorry for hiding this truth from you all along.
I was afraid you would try to leave me if I ever told you the truth. After all, I knew how much you hate the guys from our Vulture group. But, don't abandon them after dissolving the group. Many of them don't know anything but to kill or threatening others.
I was someone who was in the path of no return but you are not like me. I heard everything from Aster. I'm confident that you can save them from being returning to killers ever again.
Consider this as my last wish.
This little time we spent together is one of the happiest memories in my life, Wil."
The tears started flowing from Wil's eyes as he clutched the paper.

Scarlet HQ, Ares city;
On the 79th floor of the building, pro gamers who were selected in the combat department are busy in their afternoon reflex training where ten people for the batch will go into the training room at once, and randomly, a number of softballs will be thrown at them in different angles for complete 10 minutes. Their score will be recorded at the end depending on their dodging ability of not only the targets but also their own allies.
Soon, it was Elyssa's turn. Their batch of 10 entered the room and the training room. As a Semi-Elite Trainee (B-grade scorers); Elyssa continues to excel as usual, save for some bumps with others while their trainer Emily is looking at her with interest, "good. Of the female trainees here, she's indeed one of the best. If only we gave scores differently for each gender, then, she would have score "A," anyway, let's recommend her to Betty once the course is over."
Just then, she got a call.
"Yes, I understand."
After disconnecting it, she pressed a button on the remote in her hand and the training abruptly stopped leaving the participants and remaining trainees who are watching from the side in confusion as 10 minutes aren't up.
As they turned their heads, Emily spoke, "Young master is about to reach the building in 15 minutes. Everyone, fresh up and gather on the ground floor. Elyssa"
"Yes," Elyssa stepped forward.
"Jenny, Thea, Xia Fu, Sayuri, Filbert, Okita, Curtis, Nell, and finally, Tian Chun"
"Yes," one by one, as everyone came forward, Emily spoke, "go fresh up and get into suits. All of you will follow me to meet the young master."
"Yes."
As the ten of them following Emily, Elyssa saw a lot of directors, and their disciples and elites were joining them on the way. She asked her colleague, "Thea, do you know what's going on? Isn't he only chairman's son?"
"Shh Don't be loud," whispered Thea and then said, "It seems you researched nothing about this company beforehand. CEO is only running this company because the Young master is still young. I heard that he will take over as the Chairman once he graduates from the college after three years."
