Chapter 29
29 A FOX IN SHEEP COAT
Two men in white hanfu were eating quietly inside the Jing Pavilion. The fire slowly burned the candles, giving off a few lights inside the pavilion where the countless stars could only peek through the window.
The palace servants had sent dinner to the pavilion, and the two people wrapped in white clothes were eating without making a sound.
Bai Chen had never cared about how to eat like a real Prince before. His family was just an ordinary family, not royalty or rich people who cared so much about how they ate.
But, the brown-haired man was trying hard to eat elegantly since he was the Prince of this empire now. Even if only Zhu Ge sat next to him at the round table, he tried to adapt to the settings in this world just in case he was summoned by the Emperor suddenly.
‘Right. Today is only my first day in this world, and I didn’t have the chance to meet the Dong Lang royal family this entire day,’ Bai Chen frowned as he stopped the movement of the chopsticks.
He was lucky that the food in this world was no different from the one he ate in his previous life, but that was not his focus for now. He was a bit nervous when he realized the possibility of meeting another royal family from this empire.
“Why did you stop eating, Your Highness?”
He suddenly heard someone questioning him, and he turned his head to the side to find Zhu Ge looking at him in confusion. Only the color of his clothes changed, but for some reason, Bai Chen saw a different aura from the black-haired man.
He used to see Zhu Ge in red clothes all day long, and seeing how the man was wrapped in the white clothes he took out of his closet, the man looked purer and more innocent, no longer a pervert who only knew how to give him pleasure.
.....
Blush. Bai Chen’s face reddened as the word ‘pleasure’ flashed through his mind. There was a reason why Zhu Ge was wearing the white hanfu tonight, and the reason was that the red clothes were wet from their activity earlier.
Even though only the sleeves were drenched, Bai Chen still behaved like a gentleman as he handed the other man his white clothes so that the man could change into dry clothes.
Zhu Ge hesitated, but then he accepted the clothes before bathing himself in the bathroom. Yes, Zhu Ge was bathing alone because nothing happened to them after Bai Chen reached his climax.
“I’m full,” Bai Chen replied as he placed his chopsticks on the table again.
Thinking about a lot of things caused him to lose his appetite, and he could only stare at his bowl blankly.
Suddenly, a hand grabbed his half-empty bowl, and another hand grabbed his chopsticks as well. When he turned to the side, his closed lips immediately came into contact with the piece of meat that was wedged between the chopsticks.
He shifted his blue eyes from the chopsticks to the person holding the chopsticks for him, and he found Zhu Ge staring intently at him.
“I heard that werewolves have a big appetite, but you only ate a little today. You will faint again if you don’t eat well.”
He could hear Zhu Ge lecturing him, and for some reason, he felt like he was listening to his mother’s lecture just now. The thought almost made him laugh, but he then noticed one thing in Zhu Ge’s words.
“You didn’t think that we would continue our activities today, did you? I told you that-”
Bai Chen couldn’t continue his protest because Zhu Ge suddenly stuffed the meat into his lips, automatically closing his mouth and stopping his ramble.
“You have spent money to get me from the Red Pavilion, so if you say you don’t want to continue, then I won’t force you to continue. There’s no need to worry about your tight hole tonight.”
Zhu Ge spoke of something vulgar again, and Bai Chen immediately regretted his opinion that the man looked purer and more innocent in white clothes.
‘Even if a fox wore a coat made of sheep’s fur, the fox would definitely not turn into a sheep,’ Bai Chen’s face was red from anger as he continued to chew the meat in his mouth.
“I won’t force you, but I have a request for you,” Zhu Ge suddenly spoke again as Bai Chen had just swallowed the meat, and the latter frowned at the former, causing the former to continue, “It’s embarrassing because I told you today that I have great stamina, but now I feel tired, Your Highness. Can you let me stay one more day tomorrow? I promise that I will leave your palace the day after tomorrow.”
Bai Chen suddenly laughed when Zhu Ge had just finished speaking. “So, you’re only a normal human who can feel tired too, right? Then, you should eat more. You will faint if you don’t eat well.”
Bai Chen had momentum for revenge, so he immediately used it to mock the black-haired man. Zhu Ge could only snort when he heard the ridicule.
“You can stay here until tomorrow, but what about your boss? I only paid for one day and one night’s service, so if you stay here for two nights, won’t your boss be mad at you?” Bai Chen asked after his laughter died out.
Even if he remembered how the Red Pavilion’s boss acted like overcooked noodles, he believed that the man could also be angry. Furthermore, the man surnamed Yu had told him that Zhu Ge was his most valuable asset in the Red Pavilion, so Bai Chen doubted the man would let Zhu Ge get a day off without telling him beforehand.
“I see you care about me, Your Highness,” the raven-haired man replied with a smirk. “But, you don’t have to worry about that because Yu Laoban will never be angry with me. On the contrary, I can always scare him if I want to.”
