Wake Up As Gay Werewolf Prince [BL]

Chapter 11

Chapter 11: BLOOD ON PAPER

Bai Chen couldn’t stop cursing the system in his heart after hearing the additional mission he had to complete if he wanted to get more information about the rank of werewolves in this world.

The little wolf had indeed told him that the Bai Chen in this world was flirtatious, but who would have thought that he would have to seduce a man until that man knelt before him?

It was an extremely cunning mission that had been given to him by the system, and that was why Bai Chen continued to curse the system even if he could only do it in his heart. Fortunately, cursing in his heart wasn’t considered against the rules, so his precious points were safe for now.

Then, what did he get from his approval to undertake the additional mission? Fortunately, what he received from the system was useful information.

Now he knew that there were five ranks of werewolves in the Dong Lang Empire. The lowest rank was Rank 1 or often called Omega. The werewolves included in that rank were the commoners as well as all the imperial servants who lived in the palace to serve the royal family.

They were the weakest werewolves in the empire and were no different from normal humans. They could shapeshift into humans, but that was their only ability. Despite that ability, they couldn’t do anything despite being werewolves.

One rank above Rank 1 or Omega, there were werewolves with Rank 2 who were often called Sentinels. In addition to having the ability to shapeshift, they also had combat abilities that could protect them from harm. They had bigger bodies and stronger physiques, and that was why those with the rank of Sentinel would join the imperial army to protect the people and the royal family.

.....

Next was Rank 3 which was often called Delta. Werewolves in this category had the ability to shapeshift and teleport, and those belonging to that category were nobles as well as officials in the palace. Even if they had no combat abilities, they were known for their intelligence, and that was why they mostly worked as officials in the palace.

Above Rank 3, there was Rank 4 which was often called Betas. Beta was only one rank below the highest rank, and their abilities were shapeshifting, combatting, and teleporting. The ones in this rank were the Princes and Princesses born to the Empresses of the palace.

And last but not least, there was Rank 5 which was often called Alpha. Only the Emperors and Empresses fell into that category, and even Emperor’s concubines were only ranked third as Delta. Alphas were the strongest, and they had the ability to shapeshift, combat, teleport, and self-healing.

The system informed him that the rankings had existed since hundreds of years ago, and today’s situation where one could become an Omega and another become a Beta was fate. Ordinary people would always give birth to a weak Omega, while the Empress as Alpha would always give birth to Beta who would become Alpha once they reached the throne.

Bai Chen was the Prince in the empire, and he expected that his rank would be Beta. But, to his dismay, the system said that he was at the Delta rank. That fact caused him to gasp before he asked for further explanation, but the system only gave him a disappointing reply in a robotic voice.

And Bai Chen could only groan in annoyance before realizing that his servant had been crouching in front of him for quite some time while he was talking to the system in his head.

Bai Chen finally knew the reason why his servant said that he should go to the Red Pavilion alone, but there was a problem with that. ‘How can I use my teleportation power?’ He wondered.

He didn’t have a chance to ask the system, and he doubted the system would answer his question for free. In the end, he slyly tried to deceive his servant as he asked, “You said you’ve been with me for many years, right? Now, do you still remember how I usually used my teleportation power?”

The idea was mischievous, but Bai Chen managed to challenge the servant as the older man quickly rose from his position and exclaimed, “Of course, I still remember about it, Your Highness!”

Seeing how the fish took the bait, Bai Chen smirked before replying, “Really? So, it will be easy for you to recite how I usually teleported, right?”

Ma Qiao felt like he was looked down upon by the Prince, and he tsk-ed before walking towards one of the cupboards within the pavilion and taking something out of it. He then returned to the brown-haired Prince with that thing in his hand.

“You usually used this, Your Highness,” the servant said as he held out a few pieces of paper in his hand. “It’s not just plain paper because it’s made from the sacred tree of the Forbidden Forest. You just need to write your destination on this paper, and you will be sent to your destination immediately.”

Bai Chen ignored the nonsense about the Forbidden Forest as he carelessly muttered, “Alright.” As he walked to the cupboard and took a bottle of ink and a brush in his hand. “I’ll write my destination down on that piece of paper. Now, give me the paper so I can head straight for the Red Pavilion.”

Bai Chen had stretched out his hand as he moved a finger to signal the servant to hand over the paper immediately, but the servant looked dumbfounded.

“Aiyah! You must be joking right, Your Highness?” The servant suddenly laughed after hitting the Prince’s arm. “Ordinary ink won’t work on this paper. You have to write down your destination using your blood before you can use your teleportation powers.”

And it was Bai Chen’s turn to be astonished by the new information given by the servant. The problem was... Bai Chen was afraid of blood.
