Chapter 114 Information Transfer
Having logged out, Arthur took a quick look at the forums before getting out of the Dream Pod.
~hiss~
The lid of the Dream Pod slid open easily as a notification popped up in front of Arthur.
>Player Arthur's Hunger is below 30%!<
"This'll take some time to get used to…" Arthur said as he looked at the hunger notification.
He wondered if he should eat some food right now or just wait till he went out.
"Hmm… I need to finish the stuff here anyways." Arthur reckoned he may as well finish the last of the ingredients.
He whipped up some mixed noodles with all the veggies he had left with eggs and gobbled it all up.
>Player Arthur's Hunger has been replenished to 100%<
"That's good." Arthur could feel better than before.
~Ding~
A notification sound could be heard from his new smart phone, prompting Arthur to check it.
> Your request to visit the rental Apartment has been granted. You can visit anytime after 11 am<
Arthur read the message that had popped up.
"So they finally approved of it," Arthur muttered.
He had asked to take a look at the Apartment he wished to move to at Honeysuckle Street and had applied for it yesterday. His request had been granted rather quickly and he could already go today.
"Let's head out in a bit then." Arthur looked at the time, finding it to be 8 am.
It would take him about an hour to reach Honeysuckle Street, thus he decided to leave at 10 am. This left him with two hours, which he decided to spend on planning and forums.
He basically reorganized what he was intending to do after getting the new information from Roran town.
'The actions of the bandits and the cultists mean that they are trying to either weaken the Roran Town or obtain something there. In my past life, the Roran town was a lot different and the number of NPCs there seemed to be reduced as well. Many buildings were also closed due to damage but they are still open now.' Arthur recalled.
"The players had seen this when they first appeared in the town, which should be about 7 days from now… this gives me about 21 in game days. So if the attack is to be done… it will be in the coming 18 days most likely." Arthur calculated it all.
Arthur knew he needed to act before anything like that happen if he wished to obtain the most benefits.
"Considering that I should have a buffer period, I should consider my plan to be finished in 15 days or less… this leaves me with 5 real world days. Hmm… it should be doable." Arthur made a separate pipeline of things he would need to do.
This was an important thing for him to do, as staying rigid according to his original plans could spell doom for him. He needed to be fluid and adaptive, if he were to progress in the best way.
'One of the main things I'll need to do is to hit level 20 so that I can be strong enough to deal with the bandits. Even if I don't intend to fight them head on, I still need to trigger the Orcs and they are strong.' Arthur knew about the Trunel Wood Orcs and their power.
They were mobs that had high vitality and strength. For the players, they would be the first humanoid type monster they would face that could pose a lot of problems. Thankfully, the Orcs had low intelligence and could be dealt with as long as one was able to figure out the tactic to overcome them.
One simply needed to outsmart them with better skills, or have higher speed than them.
Both these facts would allow one to fight against Orcs.
But there was another factor one needed to deal with, numbers.
Orcs were large in number and often fought in groups. One might find individual Orcs roaming, but once a fight broke out, all of them would gather up and pummel the players. Thus, one needed to be aware of this and end an Orc before they called for reinforcement.
'But this is exactly what I need to levy in order to force the bandits.' Arthur thought about it.
He would still need to survey the condition of the bandits before he could trigger the Orcs though. As he needed to know the exact path to lure the Orcs through.
'The Orc Chieftain should be tough enough to force the bandits. While Dozla can fight him with ease, the numbers will still be problematic for him. Plus, I simply need him to come out of his hideout. The rest will be left to Guard Captain Fredric.' After an hour of planning, Arthur had a new draft that he would be using.
This time though, he had written the draft and added it to the Dream Pod V3.
"The scanner feature is nifty…" Arthur said as he ripped up the old book.
Arthur had been writing it down since he needed to keep it safe and didn't wish for others to learn about it even by accident. Getting information leaked digitally was more common and it would be a huge issue if his knowledge was leaked.
On the other hand, the traditional method of writing was still a bit more secure, especially for someone like Arthur, who wasn't of much importance.
'With the new smartphone linking to the Dream Pod, I don't need to worry about information leaks as it would be only accessible to me. The biometric and DNA encryption would be good enough.' Arthur reckoned.
Even the government themselves wouldn't be able to get a hand on it as this was the same kind of encryption that was used by the banks as well as Morpheus Online.
"It'll make things more convenient for me. Though I should still add some extra precautions to it." Arthur muttered as he further hid the documents.
