Chapter 205 - Love Rivals At Odds
Lan Wu who was being pressed down by Huishe Yue couldn't take it anymore. The lingering embrace between the two of them made him a little uncomfortable. He wanted to push this big husky away but he knew strength wise he wasn't Huishe Yue's match.
"You... you are so heavy," he said but Huishe Yue ignored him so he called out jerking his shoulders to get his attention, "Hey... Huishe Yue... Huishe, Yue...." Unfortunately for him, Huishe Yue didn't plan on answering unless he called him Yue-ge. This meant no matter how many times he called out Huishe Yue didn't answer him. It seemed Lan Wu soon caught on to Huishe Yue's meaning so he called out, "Yue-ge," in a deep voice that was pleasant to the ear.
Huishe Yue's ears twitched with the movement of Lan Wu's cheek brushing against his ear as he spoke. He almost got up to rub his ear but when he remembered that the moment he let go he won't be able to keep hugging Lan Wu he ignored the itchy feeling on his ear and answered, "Mhm," taking a long sniff like a dog.
"Get off me plea-, why do you keep doing that? You keep sniffing me," he finally asked. This was one of the odd behaviours he had noticed about Huishe Yue. Like the other weird thing, he had also noticed that Huishe Yue only sniffed him and he would wear a contented expression after that which kind of creeped him out.
An example would be the day he used a fragranced soap he looted from the imperial palace. He really liked the scent so he went all crazy with it using it in his bath. This meant from head to toe he smelt like this lush soap. Thinking he would get a compliment or two he swaggered around the ship.
For sure his entire crew complimented him making him feel quite good about himself that is until he bumped into Huishe Yue. The guy sniffed him and said, "Don't use that stinky soap ever again."
You can only imagine what Lan Wu's reaction was. For that entire day, Huishe Yue avoided him wearing a face like he had been wronged. After enduring that face for the entire day Lan Wu could only take another bath and because the scent was strong he had no choice but to scrub like a maniac.
After that bath Huishe Yue beamed like a kid in a candy store and sat so close to him you would think Lan Wu was the biggest, most colourful lollipop in the shop.
"Do what?" asked Huishe Yue acting all stupid like he had zero ideas of what Lan Wu was asking about.
"Smell me. It's a little weird," replied Lan Wu not certain if he had chosen the right words. But no matter which words Lan Wu chose to use in this situation Huishe Yue wouldn't take any offence.
There was nothing to be ashamed of. He liked Lan Wu's scent so he sniffed him. He couldn't help it as it was in his nature.
"Because you smell so good," replied Huishe Yue giving him a vague response before drawing in a long breath. Huishe Yue knew he was taking advantage of Lan Wu but he couldn't help it. If he was in Niuq this could be treated as an offence but after being locked up for five decades he had tossed aside his clan's rules.
Lan Wu was dumbstruck by his response. This had to be the weirdest thing Huishe Yue had said to him, right? Wrong! What he said next had Lan Wu stupefied you would think that a wizard had cast a spell on him.
"I only have you now Wu-er..... so help me out a little, okay?" After such sweet words coated in honey who could blame Lan Wu for letting Huishe Yue do what he wants? This man was so good with his words rendering Lan Wu useless against his pleas. With that said he got embraced the entire night as Huishe Yue wouldn't let go no matter what.

The sun shone brightly in the middle of the sky giving off the illusion of a perfect summer but that wasn't the case. There was a cold breeze sweeping past the surface of the sea causing the crew so many grievances. They were walking around with extra layers of clothing while bustling about on the main deck.
Ji Yao was also feeling the cold chill as well as he sat on his table charting a course to the very place the concord refused for him to go. He had abandoned the captain's cabin early morning as Rui Fei was still asleep. Not wanting to disturb him he left for his cabin and began to draw up a map.
His serious and focused expression as he worked distanced him from the rest of the world making him seem unapproachable. Unapproachable to the rest of the crew apart from Xiaoyu. She had a terrible experience last night and cried herself to sleep but as soon as the sun rose she was ready to fight for what is hers.
She woke up very early and acquisitioned a lovely meal before bringing it over to Ji Yao's cabin. In the tray there was sampan congee, baozi and stir-fried green lead vegetables making a hearty meal.
In truth, she had bribed the chef like always to get those dishes from him. Because of last night's kiss on the cheek incident she witnessed she decided to step up her game. So she packed up this lovely breakfast to win his heart through his stomach.
Her plan was flawless but the problem was the man himself. His heart had already been intercepted and captured by Rui Fei so all these nice things she brought with her wouldn't be able to attract his attention.
Expectant, she placed the tray on the table with a smile that exceeded that of a gracious immortal. She took the bowl of congee and presented it in front of Ji Yao her movements graceful and tender.. It was easy for one to see that she had set this tray with love at a glance.
