Chapter 158 - Do You Have Something To Tell Me?
Just when he thought himself stupid for coming to rescue Huishe Yue when it was obvious he could handle himself Huishe Yue's tail wrapped around Lan Wu and dragged him along with him.
Lan Wu, "..."
While Lan Wu was being dragged to who knows where, Lady Ching Sei woke up from a long sleep she thought she might not wake up from. The sleep didn't bother her as much as where she woke up at.
The cabin was completely foreign to her with a dark colour scheme that wasn't as intimidating as it sounds.. The bed was extremely comfortable with fluffy pillows everywhere. Some of the designs and embroidery on them wasn't anything available in Hyesong continent.
She was about to get off the bed when she saw a body pillow right beside her.
It was lying face down so she turned it over only to receive the shock of her life. On the body pillow was the perfect realistic embroidery of her face that made it easy to confuse it with the real deal. No wonder she felt soothed and safe in this place. It was because of her perfume all the room.
Once she realised this she began to check her clothes in a panic. All the memories from before she passed out came flooding in and boy was she ready to fight.
As soon as that door opened Lady Ching Sei was already in battle mode. She began to throw those pillows like she was at a 'super pillow fight party' which are one of the best things covid took from humans.
Zhang Li hadn't expected this sudden attack so you can imagine his face when he got hit by a pillow flying at the speed of a missile. The sad part is that the pillows kept coming and soon Lady Ching Sei would run out of them and start throwing other things.
Because of that, he had to talk her out of throwing things otherwise he would be attending his own funeral today. "Calm, calm down... I didn't do anything," he said as he dodged one of the pillows.
But instead of calming her down his words got her all riled up. She got up on the bed and pointed at him while holding another fluffy weapon of mass destruction. "Yeah sure, I believe you. You just brought me here because you are soooooo nice," she said in a sarcastic tone before tossing her weapon.
Zhang Li ducked down but he still managed to get his head hit. Rubbing his head he got up and said, "Yes..... you fainted and I couldn't take you to your ship. They are still fixing it."
Well, that was the truth but come on, he could have taken her to Red Bane or even Lan Wu's ship but he happened to choose this. How convenient.
"Nobody is that nice especially you," she said before picking up the body pillow and yes, that one nailed him straight in the face. "And you were just saying 'I was being nice'," mimicking his voice, "then what the fuck is this?"
Zhang Li who had been smacked by the body pillow had fallen to the ground with the pillow on top of him. The position he was currently in was so ambiguous you would think he was making out with the body pillow.
Lady Ching Sei also assumed the same so she got off the bed, picked up the body pillow and shredded it to a million pieces. Soon it was raining fluffy cotton like it was raining cotton candy. Zhang Li who was sitting up could only catch the fluffy cotton in disappointment.
She jumped over him intending to leave but maybe it was because she had slept too long and her body hadn't yet acclimatized to standing upright, she fell right on top of him with her bosom right in Zhang Li's face.
Two things either happened after this incident. One, Lady Ching Sei accepted that mistakes do happen and this was clearly a misfortunate accident. Or two, she blamed Zhang Li for everything and pick a fight. Guess which one she picked. Tip, do take into consideration how petty she was.
While Zhang Li was either receiving option A or option B, Rui Fei was receiving option B from Ji Yao. Why you might ask? It was because of the 'tie the knot' comment earlier. As soon as they left the brigs with Qilin Kai questioning his life choices things got a little interesting.
Rui Fei knew he was in big trouble as he walked out of that place. He almost wished he could lock himself up with Qilin Kai so he could avoid this. Besides, there was a lot of space in that prison cell.
Ji Yao was walking in big strides expressing his dissatisfaction. He led the way to the captain's cabin ignoring the havoc transpiring on the main deck. All he heard as he passed by was something about Lan Wu disappearing underwater and some speculations about him being taken by mermaids or something like that.
But he didn't pay mind to it pushing the door open before walking over to the Kang table and sitting down. He poured out two cups of water without looking up to Rui Fei who was standing there like a street light pole.
Ji Yao lifted the cup and placed it on the opposite side where Rui Fei should be sitting. His movements were graceful and elegant like a celestial being.
He was well aware of Rui Fei watching like a hawk. To disrupt this one-man leering contest he said, "Close the door." Rui Fei who had been an eager beaver a minute ago was now standing there with his tail tucked in between his legs like a little pup with its head hung low.
He immediately closed the door but didn't sit down. Maybe it was because he was looking for another escape route since the door was now closed. Ji Yao finally raised his head and said to him, "Do you have something to tell me?"
This question was as obvious as day. If he kept on waiting for Rui Fei to tell his little secret someone else would expose it first which is something Ji Yao didn't want. He wanted to hear it straight from the horse's mouth but this horse wasn't neighing not even a little.
He stood there looking like a preschooler caught pulling a girl's pigtails. "Huh?" he asked with his IQ going down the drain fast. Since Rui Fei wanted to play dumb he took out the jade tile with Rui Fei's name on it. This move didn't need words to explain it. The question was obvious this meant time was up for this little cub.
Find out tomorrow whether Rui Fei will walk out of the captain's cabin single or not.
