Chapter 87: The wild experience gaining journey

Chapter 87: The wild experience gaining journey

"Pa!"

An armour piercing arrow flew out as light and hit the armour of the skeleton, causing it to shake and a "1204" damage figure to appear above its head!

It was considered not bad, it pierced quite a bit of armour!

After being attacked, the Corroded Armour Skeleton immediately let out a low roar of rage before charging over with its rusty sword.  It was a pity that it moved too slowly, so I could easily kite it!

"Sou, sou, sou!"

With several consecutive sounds, fire and ice arrows were shot out.  Combining with armour piercing arrows, in less than half a minute, this skeleton warrior in shabby armour collapsed while crying out.  It dropped a gold coin and several silver coins, as well as a rusty sword!

"Yi?  My luck is that good that a piece of equipment fell right away?"

I sighed with emotion as I went forward to put the gold and silver coins into my inventory before looking at the rusty sword.

[Corroded Rusty Sword] (Trash Tier)

Additional: Quest item.  Can't be dropped, can't be traded, can be stacked.

...

I don't know what use it had, so I just threw it into my inventory.  The good thing was that this monster gave quite good money and experience, so it was worth grinding on!

So, I immediately tried pulling in a group of five Corroded Armour Skeletons to kill with the Thousand Bladed Arrows.  In the end it took over ten times before they finally all died. They dropped another rusty sword, which I threw into my inventory since it only took up a single space.

It seemed like by pulling in too few monsters, I wasted too many MP potions, so it wasn't worth it!

So for my second time, I pulled in twenty Corroded Armoured Skeletons.  Like this, there wasn't too much pressure if these monsters attacked me and I could pull away from them with my move speed.  I led the monsters in a circle, easily turning them into gold and experience with my Thousand Bladed Arrows.

This time, they dropped another five rusty swords, while also raising my experience bar by a third.  It seemed like the monsters here were truly suitable for grinding on!

There were more and more gold coins that filled my inventory.  Considering the fact that the exchange rate kept decreasing, I would always exchange 1000 gold coins when I got 2000 gold coins, keeping 1000 as emergency in game money.

At this time, the difference between high level players and normal players appeared.  I was killing level 55 monsters by myself here, this was something that was unimaginable to normal players.  Each monster killed here gave me around one to two gold coins, which was around four to eight RMB, but that was only for me.  If it was a player that hadn't reached level 40 yet, they would die at the hands of the skeletons.

When everyone's levels reached the point where they could farm here, the gold coin wouldn't be worth as much then.  Perhaps it would take 10 gold coins for 1 RMB, or even 100 gold coins for 1 RMB. It would mean killing one mob would equal one cent, so there wouldn't be many people who would be willing to do this.

Just like this, my personal bank account increased by 4000 RMB each hour and I kept killing mobs without feeling tired.  The so called white collar employee only earned around 4000 RMB a month, but I was actually earning a month's salary just by killing mobs for an hour!

All the way until 3 am, all the Corroded Armour Skeletons in the basin were killed once by me.  I reached level 47, while receiving over two hundred of those rusty swords, creating five stacks.  Turning back, I saw that quite a few skeletons had respawned behind me. Looking forward, there was a small peak and what was surprising was that there was smoke floating out of the peak!

My heart couldn't help being moved, perhaps there was a NPC of the light side here!

So without another word, I walked across the black corroded group to the high area.  As expected, there really was a simple camp that entered my eyes. There were several soldiers around a campfire that had a black iron pot on it, currently letting off steam.

It was clear that these soldiers were NPCs, as they had "Memorial Park Guards" over their heads, but based on their situation, the power of the undead here had already surpassed the level of their control.  Otherwise, they wouldn't have been forced to this high ground to survive.

When I walked over, a NPC that looked like the leader came over and said, "Young adventurer, you shouldn't have come to this dangerous place.  There are damnable dark undead here that will tear all living things apart!"

I was surprised, not knowing how to answer, but that NPC then said, "If someone could kill those damn undead creatures, that would be great!  Young man, are you willing to help us?"

I couldn't wait as I immediately chose to help!

"Ding~!"

System notification: You have received the task [Cleaning the Corroded Armour Skeleton (Can be repeated)].  (Quest difficulty: 180)

Quest content: Help the Memorial Park Guardsmen kill Corroded Armour Skeletons and collect the rusted swords from them.  When you have collected 50 rusted swords, you can hand them over to the Memorial Park Guardsmen!

...

I was a bit surprised.  Could it be that this quest could be used to grind experience?

When I opened the text box again, there was a choice to finish the quest, so I pressed down on it!

"Ding~!"

System notification: You have completed the quest  [Cleaning the Corroded Armour Skeleton]. You have received 180000 experience, 200 gold coins, and 150 prestige.

...

The hundred and eighty thousand experience made my experience bar surge and at the same time, there was a thought that appeared in my mind.  If I could grind out experience like this, then I've really struck the jackpot today! I can get 200 gold coins every time I finish the quest, just this is already enough to fill my heart with excitement!

When I opened the text box again, it showed that I could hand over the fifty rusted sword quest items.  I received a large amount of experience and gold coins once again. I did it four times until I used up all the rusted swords that I had collected, before no longer having the choice to turn in the quest again!

In just a few short minutes, my experience had reached level 47 and 45%!  It seemed like passing Ling Yue in terms of levels tonight wasn't a problem!

Currently the number one player in the world was only level 49, then I would use this bug like quest to catch up to him today!

Thinking of this, my heart was filled with joy.  I immediately went back to the basin and continued killing those Corroded Armour Skeletons!

Once a person became excited, they couldn't control their mind.  Without knowing it, the sun had already risen, but I was fully focused on killing mobs!  Who told this place to have mobs with rich experience and a quest with rewards!

I don't know how many times I finished the quest during this time, but only when the MP potions in my inventory run out did I realize that I should log off!

Looking at it, I had already reached level 49 and my experience bar was a 87%!  I would soon break the 50 gate! The square letters of a Chinese player's name had finally reached the entire world!

My equipment had lost most of its durability from this long period of fighting, looking like it was about to break, while I was also running out of arrows.  If I didn't return to the city, I couldn't do anything even if I stayed here!

So I returned to the city.  When I looked at the time, I found it was 11 am and it was about to become noon.  I was finally hit with a wave of drowsiness and I couldn't take it anymore, so I quickly logged off!

My room was never locked, so I wrote a note to put on my door that read, "I won't be eating lunch, I'll eat dinner when I wake up!"

After closing the door, I jumped into my blankets and fell asleep.
